Geprüft wurden unter anderem der Schutz erwachsener Insassen, Kindersicherheit, Fußgängerschutz und Assistenzsysteme – und der Tasman liefert durchgehend starke Ergebnisse.  Besonders in der Doppelkabinenvariante mit 4x4-Antrieb überzeugt das Fahrzeug in puncto Crashsicherheit. Auffällig: Selbst bei der Kompatibilität mit anderen Fahrzeugen im Unfallfall zeigt der Tasman für seine Größe sehr gute Werte. Eine kleine Schwäche offenbarte sich beim Frontalaufpralltest über die gesamte Fahrzeugbreite, was allerdings nur zu einer geringen Abwertung führte.  Achtung: Die Bewertung gilt nicht für die X-Line, X-Pro, 4x2 oder die Einzelkabinenvarianten – diese sind aktuell noch nicht getestet. 00:09Today, we're all about the brand new Kia Tasman.

00:13The first commercial vehicle of its kind from Kia,

00:16which not only impresses with its robustness and versatility,

00:19but also boasts a top safety rating.

00:23The Kia Tasman has received the maximum 5-star rating

00:26in the demanding ANC-UPS test procedure

00:29according to the 320 standard.

00:40Particularly pleasing is that this result was achieved

00:42in all four main categories.

00:44Protection of adult occupants,

00:46protection of children,

00:47protection of vulnerable road users and safety assistants.

00:55In Australia and New Zealand in particular,

00:58who support UTS for pickups with a double cab,

01:01are enjoying increasing popularity.

01:06According to the latest sales figures from June 2025

01:09from the Australian FCAI,

01:11this vehicle class accounts for over a quarter

01:14of all new car sales.

01:15And the trend is rising.

01:17There are four such models in the top five

01:32The Kia Tasman is thus joining the ranks of established models

01:44Both the adult and child dummies achieved very good results

01:49in the frontal impact test with a low risk of injury.

01:55Compatibility with other vehicles in the event of an accident

01:58was also rated as moderately low for a vehicle of this size,

02:01which also speaks for the solid safety structure.
