Der neue BYD SHARK 6 ist das erste Plug-in-Hybrid-Nutzfahrzeug seiner Art, das sich den lokalen ANCAP-Crashtests gestellt hat – und dabei mit der Bestwertung von fünf Sternen überzeugt.

Mit einem Schutzwert von 85 % für erwachsene Insassen, 87 % für Kinder und 74 % für gefährdete Verkehrsteilnehmer setzt der SHARK 6 neue Maßstäbe in Sachen Sicherheit. Ausgestattet mit umfassenden Airbagsystemen und einem Mittelairbag für seitliche Unfälle bietet der Pickup maximale Schutzwirkung.

Die Kindersicherheit wird durch ein intelligentes CPD-System unterstützt, das bei einem im Fahrzeug zurückgelassenen Kind automatisch die Klimaanlage aktiviert. Zwar erfüllt das System nicht alle ANCAP-Anforderungen, doch im Crashtest lieferte der SHARK 6 Höchstleistungen.

Auch bei der Erkennung von Fußgängern und Radfahrern überzeugte das Notbremssystem. Bei Rückwärtsfahrten zeigte es jedoch leichte Schwächen. Der SHARK 6 warnt zudem zuverlässig vor herannahenden Radfahrern beim Aussteigen.
