00:00Welcome to the new video from the Auto Magazine Tuning Blog, where today we're talking about the Male M40.
00:06An innovative mid-engine system that was specially developed for maximum control and performance in the e-bike segment.
00:14The M40 impressively demonstrates how compact design and high efficiency do not have to be mutually exclusive.
00:22Weighing just 2.5 kg, it is one of the lightest engines in its class,
00:27yet delivers a whopping 105 newton-meters of torque and a peak output of 850 watts.
00:35This corresponds to a power density of around 340 watts per kilogram
00:39and gives the M40 the potential to react confidently even in the most demanding terrain and when changing cadence quickly.
00:48Thanks to state-of-the-art sensors and sophisticated control technology, the M40 sets new standards in riding dynamics.
00:57An extremely precise speed sensor, which detects even the smallest changes within less than 3 centimeters,
01:04works seamlessly with the cadence and torque sensors.
01:06This combination enables immediate power delivery without noticeable delay,
01:14which offers noticeable advantages, especially on technical sections or when accelerating suddenly.
01:21Even with abrupt changes in cadence, the power delivery remains smooth and intuitive,
01:26which makes the system seem to anticipate the rider's movements and intentions.
01:30The Hedit Plus ensures complete system integration.
01:37It is a modern display with a color screen that clearly displays all relevant data
01:42and can be easily mounted in various places on the cockpit.
01:45The whole thing is complemented by the Wireless Trio Remote.
01:52An intuitively operated handlebar remote control with three buttons
01:55that allows the rider to safely and easily control the system settings.
02:01This hardware forms the interface to the new M-Series from Male Smart Bike Systems,
02:06which focuses on modularity and digital integration.
02:08The system also impresses with two well-thought-out solutions in terms of battery performance.
02:16The IM5 battery offers a particularly lightweight option with 534 kWh,
02:22weighing just 2.5 kg,
02:24while the IM8 battery with 800 kWh is designed for particularly long ranges of up to 150 km
02:30or, alternatively, for up to 2,500 m in altitude.
02:34Both batteries are identical in design and can be flexibly replaced thanks to identical connections,
02:42which offers the rider maximum customization options.
02:48Additional functions such as Motor Dynamic Overrun Technology,
02:51which allows the drive to continue running shortly after pedaling,
02:54and Hill Brake, which prevents rolling back on inclines,
02:57make the system extremely reliable and comfortable even under extreme conditions.
03:01The M40 is therefore much more than just a mid-drive motor.
03:08It is a well-thought-out overall solution for riders who want to get the most out of their e-bike.
03:14Incidentally, the M40 is said to be launched on the market for a price of around 1,200 euros.
03:21A very attractive offer considering the technology offered.
