00:00Welcome to the video from the Car Magazine Tuning Blog about the BMW R300 Rupees.
00:05The new Sports Boxer.
00:06BMW presented the long-awaited R3300 Rupees at the end of April 2025.
00:12With 145 horsepower, the new Sports Boxer is sportier than ever.
00:17Positioned between the Boxer Roadster BMW R300R and the Boxer Tourer BMW R00RT,
00:24the R300RS is significantly sportier than previous RS models.
00:30But remains true to the sport touring category, which combines travel and sport.
00:34True to the motto one engine fits all, the new RS also uses the engine,
00:39which has been enlarged to 1300cc and which also powers the GSR and RT.
00:45With a peak output of 145 horsepower and a maximum torque of a massive 149 newm,
00:51the new Boxer surpasses its 250cc predecessor by 9 horsepower and 6 newm.
00:57This provides enough thrust to move the RS, which weighs at least 245kg,
01:04with ease over country roads and, on occasion, accelerate to around 250 kmph,
01:10although the factory specification is 246 kmph.
01:14Also new is an automatic gearshift called AESA as an alternative to the previous gearshift assistant.
01:23Like its model siblings, the R300 Rupees features a sheet metal shell mainframe with a bolted-on cast aluminum frame.
01:31However, according to the factory, the new RS is 2kg heavier than the previous model,
01:36which is primarily due to the chassis.
01:38The electronic semi-active suspension ESA is now standard equipment.
01:44Those who want even more can opt for the new DSA chassis,
01:47which additionally adjusts the spring rate depending on the riding mode.
01:51A new Kodane swing arm, the so-called Evo Paraliver,
01:55provides greater stability thanks to a continuous swing arm through axle.
01:58The new wheels with hollow cast spokes also save around 1.4kg in weight.
02:05The standard seat height is 820mm,
02:08and the ergonomics have been modified to accommodate a more active riding position.
02:13The footrests are positioned further back,
02:15the handlebars are flatter,
02:16and the contact area is more directly connected to the front wheel.
02:19Despite this sportier orientation,
02:22the RS remains capable of handling,
02:24particularly with options such as the comfort handlebar and various seats.
02:27Standard equipment includes modern systems such as lean-angle-sensitive integral abs,
02:34DTC traction control,
02:36engine-drag torque control,
02:37LED headlights,
02:39cruise control,
02:40a remote key system,
02:41and a USB socket.
02:43The base price is approximately €17,000,
02:46and deliveries begin in July 2025, according to BMW.
02:50With the triple black performance and option 719 Kuya marker variants,
02:56the equipment can be further customized,
02:58with the price increasing accordingly.
03:01Adaptive cornering lights,
03:03heated grips and seat,
03:04and assistance systems such as adaptive cruise control,
03:07forward collision prevention,
03:09rear collision prevention,
03:10and lane change warning are also available.
03:12Pannier racks are available as original accessories,
03:15ensuring the Air Ozen €300 remains true to its touring and sporty character.
