00:00Welcome to the video from the Auto Magazine Tuning Blog about the BMW R300 RT, the new
00:05high-tech sports tourer from BMW. Alongside the introduction of the new RS, BMW is also
00:12presenting the revised RT, which proves to be the most powerful, fastest, most modern,
00:17and sportiest RT ever. The new RT is equipped with a powerful engine with 145 hp and 149 Nm
00:25of torque, making it the most powerful RT in the model's long history. BMW states the top speed is
00:32231 kmph. Another new feature is the optional automatic gearshift as an alternative to the
00:39well-known pro gearshift assistant. As with the current air models, the BMW R1300 RT also has a
00:47shell mainframe enclosing the boxer engine. Unlike the other models, however, the RT uses a
00:55tubular space frame with forged elements, which allows for a payload of over 220 kg.
01:03The two side couplers, each with a volume of 27L, are part of the standard equipment.
01:09There have also been improvements to the Kaderin single-sided swingarm, the so-called Evorlieber,
01:15which now features a continuous stabilizing swingarm through axle. At the front, BMW has opted for the
01:22Evo telescopic swingarm with a stainless steel flex element to compensate for tilting movements.
01:28This feature is already familiar and proven from the R1300GS. The new RT offers maximum comfort,
01:36especially on long journeys. The rider's seat is adjustable in height and angle. The lowest seat
01:42height is 780 mm, allowing even shorter riders to maintain secure ground contact. The ergonomics have
01:49been slightly more dynamically designed to ensure a better connection to the front wheel without
01:54compromising long-distance comfort. Also new are variable wind deflectors available as an optional
02:00extra. When folded outwards, they improve weather protection. When folded inwards, they promote fresh
02:06airflow in high temperatures. The standard equipment includes the semi-active dynamic ESA suspension.
02:12The new Dynamic Chess Adaptation DCA is available as an option, which integrates dynamic adjustment of the
02:20preload and spring rate as well as two suspension geometries linked to the riding modes.
02:27Depending on the setting, the focus is either on comfort and relaxed cruising or on increased dynamics.
02:34Despite a weight of at least 281 kg, the new aluminum wheels are said to have a positive impact on
02:41handling thanks to a weight saving of around 1.5 kg. Modern standard equipment includes lean angle
02:48sensing integral abs, dynamic traction control, DTC, an electrically adjustable windshield,
02:55a remote key system, cruise control with braking function, and a ventilated smartphone compartment
03:01with charging function. The large 10.25-inch display offers the latest connectivity including
03:07MAP navigation. The base price of the BMW R300RT is approximately €23,000. Delivery is scheduled
03:16to begin in June 2025. The options list is long and includes, among other things, the AESA automatic
03:22gearshift system, the DCA chassis electronics, adaptive LED headlights, assistance systems with front and rear
03:30radar, and an audio system. Classic extras such as grips and seat heating are also included.
