00:00Stacey's Project Runway is the chance of a lifetime.
00:13Stacey was really nice, and I wish her all the best.
00:16I feel bad, but we all have to go sometime.
00:22I really don't care about immunity,
00:24because I know I'm going to be able to, like,
00:27do a really good job with every challenge.
00:31I'm feeling really good, really confident.
00:33Like, it's a great day today.
00:35I like all the other designers,
00:37and I'm really happy to be a part of this.
00:47Hi!
00:48Hi!
00:49So, in our last challenge, we chose the models for you.
00:53This time, you get to pick.
00:56Let's bring out the models.
01:00Models, this is a competition for you, too.
01:10The model paired with the winning designer
01:13will get a fashion spread in Elle magazine.
01:18Keith, you won the first challenge.
01:21You get to choose first.
01:23I picked Nazri.
01:30Okay, now I'm going to pull your name out of this bag
01:32to see who picks next.
01:38Vincent.
01:39Tia.
01:40Catherine.
01:41Amanda.
01:42Bradley.
01:43I really loved working with you, Camilla, last time,
01:47but I'm going to have to choose Carissa.
01:53Milan.
01:54I'd like to work with Moon again.
01:56Laura.
01:57I'll choose Katie.
01:58Bonnie.
02:00Tony, you're beautiful, but I'm going to pick Marie Linda.
02:04Kane.
02:05I would like to choose Katia.
02:07Angela.
02:08Camilla.
02:10Uli.
02:11I'm going to choose Lindsay.
02:13Jeffrey.
02:14Jay.
02:20That leaves you, Alison.
02:22You get to choose who's in and who's out.
02:25Candice.
02:26Tony.
02:27You will be out.
02:28Tony.
02:34Candice.
02:35That means you're out.
02:37Auf Wiedersehen.
02:48Okay, now you have your models.
02:51Are you ready for your next challenge?
02:52Yes.
02:54Okay, for your next challenge,
02:55you're going to be designing for an icon of American beauty.
03:02And she is here.
03:04Let's bring her out.
03:15Oh, my God.
03:16Oh, my God.
03:18Oh, my God.
03:21Hi.
03:22I want to welcome Miss USA, Tara Connor.
03:27And she will tell you about your next challenge.
03:30I will be competing at the 55th annual Miss Universe pageant in L.A. this year.
03:36Evening gown is a very, very important part of the competition.
03:39It counts for one third of the score.
03:41For your next challenge, one of you will design my gown.
03:44I was so freaking excited because this is my main livelihood and career, designing pageant gowns.
03:58Really excited that Miss USA is actually going to pick one of our dresses,
04:01and it's going to be viewed by, like, millions and millions of people in 80-some-odd countries.
04:05That's a pretty big challenge.
04:07Why don't you change?
04:08And you guys, me, Tara, and Tim in the workroom.
04:11Okay.
04:12Bye.
04:14Bye.
04:15I am delighted to welcome Miss USA, Tara Connor, for whom, as Heidi told you, you will be designing an evening gown.
04:25So this is a huge deal.
04:28Your design could mean the difference between Tara winning and losing.
04:33And Tara, we'd love to have you talk to the designers about what you look for in a pageant gown.
04:37Okay.
04:38I'm the second shortest girl in the pageant this year.
04:41So I'm going to need a gown that's going to elongate me.
04:45Earth tones, maybe.
04:47Monochromatic tones.
04:48Try to stay away from white.
04:50You know, I don't want anything too plunging.
04:52I don't want them to see this.
04:54I want them to see me.
04:56Designers, there is one more thing.
05:00Naturally.
05:02You will be working in teams of two.
05:04I've never done a gown before.
05:11What I'm hoping is that I get paired with somebody who has excellent construction skills, like Kane.
05:18So you will spend the next 30 minutes sketching in order to prepare to pitch to Tara.
05:24Tara will pick seven of you to move forward with your designs.
05:28Okay.
05:29So you have 30 minutes.
05:31Use that time well.
05:32I'm a little nervous about the fact that this is, in quotes, a pageant dress.
05:43Only because the word pageant to me has weird connotations.
05:46You know, i.e. JonBenet Ramsey.
05:48And I don't know that world.
05:49In a pageant, you need to stand out. And so I wanted something that would sort of give her the illusion of having a really, really beautiful hourglass and then also give her the illusion of being incredibly tall.
06:04I think Angela definitely wanted to be on my team because she kept coming over during our 30 minutes of sketching time and like bugging me.
06:21You know this too well. You're going to need someone to pull you out of your hole.
06:26She thought I was a shoo-in to win. I'm not looking at it that way at all.
06:29Angela was just sort of sussing people out. She was just looking for a free ride.
06:34I'm not saying you can't do something different either.
06:39Designers, your time is up. We're going to start with our pitches to Tara.
06:46And we're going to start with Bradley.
06:50All right.
06:52I would do like strapping on the back.
06:54Okay.
06:55Right? And then with some fullness and some ruffles there.
06:59I'm an architect, actually. So my drawings are kind of very architectural and plan-like.
07:04This is kind of goddess and Grisha inspired.
07:07This whole asymmetric shoulder with a twisted strap.
07:09What's going to be revealed is going to be your strong warrior structure.
07:15Totally fitted here. Fitted, fitted, fitted. Totally fitted even in here.
07:20And I want to see your legs.
07:23I think your legs are so important.
07:26They're gorgeous.
07:28Okay. Very simple and clean and elegant in the front.
07:32Keep you long. Keep you lean and tall.
07:34I sketch very loose. Very free.
07:36When you walk out on that stage, it's like...
07:40Oh, my God.
07:43Oh, my gosh. I'm going to talk a million miles a minute because I have so much to say to you.
07:46I love you. I watch the pageant. I'm way into pageants, blah, blah, blah.
07:49Two of my sisters do the pageants, so I know a lot about them.
07:51Anyway, the line of your dress starts higher and it's a longer line.
07:54And it also frames your beautiful face because you are freaking gorgeous.
07:57It's about you. You need to feel like a million bucks.
08:00Okay.
08:01Love you, Mina. Have a good day.
08:02Okay.
08:03I think Jayla with the Oscars when she came on the stage and those panels kind of opened up.
08:07My design philosophy is very much about the silhouette of a woman's body and the shape and form.
08:12A very fitted, you know, kind of corseted top with halter straps that go around your neck.
08:18I would like five different layers of material.
08:20I'm going to ask you questions. I don't sketch. How do you feel about umpire waist?
08:27Um...
08:28No. Okay. That's all I need to know.
08:30Also, I'm thinking gloves. What do you feel about that?
08:34Probably not.
08:35Okay.
08:38Tara has made her decisions. Tara?
08:40I have.
08:41The first team leader that I have chosen is Keith.
08:46I love the idea of the line and the design.
08:50Our next one is Lee.
08:53I love your idea of the different layers of the chiffon and how it would flow on stage.
08:57I think that that would look very, very pretty.
09:00Vincent?
09:01You really stood out to me. I like it that you were trying to show me, not the dress.
09:08Laura?
09:09The thing that stood out with me was you really considered how it was going to look on the stage with the lights and with the different material that you were thinking about going with.
09:18Milan?
09:20I love the idea of the corset, making it kind of curvy looking.
09:25Our next one is Jeffrey.
09:28I'm glad that you tapped in that I'm a strong, independent female.
09:34Okay.
09:35And last but not least,
09:39Payne.
09:42I love the idea of making like the jewelry type of look and the way that it's all going to flow together.
09:48Plus, I love that you're a pageant freak.
09:50I'm very, very excited to see how the presentation is going to be.
09:55So congratulations to our 17 leaders.
09:57We are going to be choosing teams next and we'll see you on the runway for the judging.
10:02Thank you guys so much.
10:06Our team leaders are lined up.
10:08I'm going to call your names randomly from our velvet bag.
10:12And when I do, please choose your teammate.
10:14Keep in mind, how you work together will be considered in the judging.
10:19So choose carefully.
10:21I never worked in a team.
10:23I always do everything by myself.
10:25I don't even know other designers.
10:27So I was worried about it.
10:30In a situation like this, we really want to make sure that you're teamed up with the right person.
10:35Personality wise is huge.
10:37Coming up on Project Runway.
10:38I don't understand Kane at all, what he's thinking.
10:41He's killing me.
10:43You know, I can't hold people's hands.
10:47Our team leaders are lined up.
10:48I'm going to call your names randomly from our velvet bag.
10:52And when I do, please choose your teammate.
10:55So our first designer is...
10:58Laura.
11:00I'd like to work with Michael.
11:05Our next designer is...
11:10Kane.
11:12Oh, this is so hard.
11:14I would like to choose Robert.
11:16I probably would have chosen Angela, had she not bothered me during our 30 minutes of sketching time.
11:23Our next designer is Jeffrey.
11:27I choose Allison.
11:30Milan.
11:32Catherine.
11:35Uli.
11:36Bonnie.
11:38Keith.
11:40Bradley.
11:42Bradley's aesthetic is totally different from mine.
11:45But between him and Angela, Bradley, any day.
11:50I don't need to reach in for the last designer, because it's Vincent.
11:54Well, I'm happy to work with Allison.
11:56Angela.
12:00Now that your teams are assembled, you have two days for this challenge.
12:04You have a $300 budget.
12:06Woo!
12:07And we're going shopping with that $300 right now.
12:17Let me grab the other fabric.
12:19This has a bit more gold here. I think it's gonna be better.
12:21This competition's actually pretty exciting because evening gowns are what I do best.
12:28I felt like the warm tones of the gold and the browns would kind of give her a luminescent quality.
12:33See, that's very soft and pretty.
12:36She wanted something kind of earth-toned, she said, but I got an iridescent organza and it's gorgeous, so hopefully she'll love the end product.
12:43This definitely brings out the more purple.
12:45I don't understand Kane at all, what he's thinking.
12:48Unless Sherbert has suddenly become an earth-toned and not an ice cream, I'm not sure what he's gonna do to explain away that.
12:54Do you have that?
12:56Now, there was another thing.
12:57That's gonna be 14 minutes.
12:58That's all right.
13:00We could walk out of here without fabric.
13:02We are not gonna walk out of here without fabric.
13:04Well, we could if we don't make a decision.
13:06We are not.
13:07Angela kept saying to me, we only have T-minus six minutes, T-minus five.
13:11And I said, please, you know, let's stop that.
13:15Wait, but slow down a little bit. I don't wanna...
13:17Let me just look one more run. I don't need to...
13:19She was nervous. You know, I can't hold people's hands.
13:22I'm freaking out because Vincent is the team leader and I'm not inspired by his vision at all.
13:28So, right now, I'm feeling worried.
13:31Everybody, time is up.
13:45All right.
13:50Well, I'm gonna keep this pattern so when I go home I can do a lot of stuff, huh?
13:53Exactly.
13:55Working together is like a comedy show because we're both, we crack each other up.
14:00Do you wanna look like Miss Universe?
14:01We'll do it for you in Fuchsia.
14:04If we do something strapless, I can see it at the waist.
14:07I chose Michael because I really thought that he would honestly question what I normally do.
14:13Okay.
14:14We're all talking about, you know, it's gonna be a one-person elimination, it's gonna be two.
14:22I think it's gonna be one person, so I hope because it would be bummer to these two people at this point.
14:29I wanna see people start fighting.
14:31Hey, Vincent, do you want me to help drape the skirt?
14:36Um, just hang.
14:38I felt a little bit awkward about not being able to give her work at whatever time, but I knew I had to get something done.
14:48Is there anything you want me to do?
14:49No.
14:51I was sitting there and I was looking around and everybody is working together.
14:56And I was like, what is going on here?
14:59Like, there was no opportunity for me to be part of the process.
15:03Angela.
15:15It's gonna be elegant.
15:16It's gonna have a certain elegance.
15:17Yeah.
15:18Right?
15:19It will.
15:20Trust me.
15:21Yeah.
15:22Trust me.
15:23Trust me.
15:24I think that Bradley might have been worried because I have immunity that I wouldn't care and then that would mess him up.
15:30But, like, I would think that he would know after my last challenge that I'm kind of, like, good.
15:37So, what's he worried about?
15:39It will not be the end of you, this dress.
15:44The thing is that the best way to go about something like this is just to be really organized.
15:48Yeah.
15:49And if you're organized, then you don't have to worry about all the other bull .
15:51Mm-hmm.
15:52I'm very happy that Milan picked me as a partner.
15:55He's had so much experience with gowns and he really knows the structure.
15:58So, it's helped a lot to learn that.
16:01It's just the right length.
16:03Yeah.
16:04I never went to school.
16:05I taught myself fashion without having really any support from anyone.
16:10When I was about 13, I had a stack of sketches that I drew.
16:17And when I went to my mother and I showed her the sketches, she looked through the first few pages.
16:23And then she threw them on the floor and said that they would never amount to anything and that I should never do that again.
16:30Project Runway will give me a chance to show her.
16:45I'm very happy.
16:46Yes.
16:47That's exactly what I want right here.
16:48I'm so happy.
16:49I'm so happy I almost cried.
16:51Vincent, I'm really concerned because I made a dress like this when I was in college.
17:04Right now I can't discuss that because I've got to figure out how to drape this back.
17:08Why don't you cut that like that?
17:11Angela was a little bit worried about what we were trying to achieve.
17:15It got annoying because that's not her call.
17:18I'm the team leader.
17:19And it's my call.
17:20Hey, listen.
17:21You have to move three feet away from me.
17:23Please.
17:24Please.
17:25I got to do this.
17:26I need you to move three feet away from me.
17:28All right?
17:29I stepped back one and a half feet.
17:31You can step forward one and a half feet.
17:32It's killing me.
17:33Ugh!
17:34You hurt me like so hard.
17:36So hard.
17:37Because if you're negative, it's going to me up so bad.
17:39And this is coming.
17:40I'm not being negative.
17:41I'm being honest.
17:42It's coming.
17:43It's coming now.
17:45It's like hitting.
17:46Okay.
17:47I'm getting it.
17:48Bam.
17:49Yippee-ay-hey-hey.
17:50Woo-hoo!
17:51Time is up.
17:52We can go to bed.
17:53Sleep time.
18:04Coming up on Project Runway.
18:05How are you feeling?
18:06I wouldn't want my name attached to this dress.
18:09The length of the gown was probably about half a foot too short.
18:14You get to defend that.
18:29Hi, everybody.
18:30Hi.
18:31Julie, Bonnie, how are you doing?
18:32Good.
18:33Good.
18:34This is how it's going to look.
18:36I love your concept.
18:38It just needs perfect finishing.
18:42All right?
18:43Let's carry on.
18:45I'm pretty happy about what we are doing, Bonnie and I.
18:49I think it's definitely what Tara wanted.
18:52How are you guys?
18:53Very good.
18:54I'll tell you what I don't like.
18:56Okay.
18:57I don't like this.
18:58I don't, I, I, I like, I like the.
19:00Barely being attached.
19:01Having the fold over so that we don't see this.
19:04Mm-hmm.
19:05And I know.
19:06You're supposed to jump up and down a bit.
19:07Well, I will tomorrow.
19:09Okay, guys.
19:10All right.
19:11All right.
19:13Carry on.
19:15I just, I mean, I'll be blunt.
19:18I'm disappointed.
19:19Oh, that's okay.
19:20All right.
19:22How are you feeling?
19:23Um, as a designer, a professional designer, I, I wouldn't want my name attached to this
19:28dress.
19:29Mm-hmm.
19:32It might have bothered me for a bit for Angela to turn her back on me, but that's the type
19:38of person she is.
19:39I'm not going to get flustered over someone like that.
19:42Okie dokie.
19:43Flip back.
19:44Okay.
19:45Hurry on.
19:46How are you guys doing?
19:48Oh, we're doing well.
19:49We're trying to work out the bottom.
19:50We're trying to work out the bottom.
19:51That's it.
19:52Okay.
19:53It's looking really heavy.
19:58Kind of like it's carved out of a big log.
20:01Really?
20:05Just be extremely objective and think what's not working for us.
20:11Okay.
20:13Just work hard.
20:14Okay.
20:15All right?
20:17I will see you in the morning.
20:19Carry on.
20:21You guys aren't getting along in there?
20:23I feel like we're relating, like, well, but...
20:25Really?
20:26I don't think so at all.
20:27Well, I don't value your opinion in this situation, so...
20:30Okay.
20:31You're wrong.
20:32He made it clear that he's a designer.
20:34It's his...
20:35It's his challenge.
20:36It's his dress.
20:37So, okay.
20:38I mean...
20:39I tried.
20:40I think he's kind of right on that.
20:41See you later.
20:42See ya.
20:47There's just...
20:48I think there's just too much fabric.
20:50Throughout the day, I kept getting more nervous about our garment.
20:53Here it's just like...
20:54No, but that's what I want.
20:55That's what I want.
20:56Okay.
20:57I want it, like, roosed really tight like that.
20:59The way it was turning out, it just looked heavy.
21:01And so, no woman's gonna see that on the runway and wanna wear it.
21:04If and when that gets called out...
21:06Mm-hmm.
21:07...you get to defend that.
21:09Okay.
21:10This cannot be here.
21:15It'll look like she's pooping.
21:20I'm not taking this at all.
21:22There are enough rhinestones.
21:24Robert, we bought four million gross rhinestones.
21:27We will put them on till our fingernails bleed.
21:29Steve, a beauty queen, not a disco ball.
21:33Whatever you do, don't say that on the runway that we ran out of time.
21:36Well, Angela...
21:37Because that's...
21:38Sweetheart, you already don't want responsibility for being any part of this dress with me.
21:43So you're gonna say, if anything, that you had no responsibility for this dress.
21:47You don't...
21:48If this dress wins tomorrow, you don't want any responsibility.
21:50You already said that seven times.
21:52I'm happy with the dress.
21:54I'm team leader.
21:55Vincent is 100% completely behind the dress.
22:08I've seen him defend crap on the runway before.
22:11That's great.
22:12Honestly, I think that we are gonna be in the bottom three.
22:15I'm gonna defend myself as much as possible.
22:18Like, it's just the words are gonna just come right out.
22:21Angela?
22:22She is transparent as a glass window.
22:25Yeah, no, he's right.
22:26Look, she's gonna knife me in the back in a heartbeat.
22:28She'll smile up front, and she'll put a knife in my back.
22:31I got one word for you to sum her up.
22:33Feminazi.
22:44Everybody, I'm about to send in the models.
22:47So you have two hours to send them to the Tresemme hair salon,
22:51to the L'Oreal Paris makeup room,
22:53and to fit them and prep them for the runway.
23:00My garment just fit my model perfect.
23:02So I could not be more happy with my work on this challenge.
23:05Oh, you look gorgeous, sister.
23:09It looks great on you.
23:11It looks very nice like this.
23:14Fitting our model before the show was nerve-wracking.
23:18The length of the gown was probably about half a foot too short.
23:22I don't want to go home when it's not my design.
23:25Angela, do we have seven minutes or a little bit more?
23:27Yeah.
23:28No, 1230.
23:30Could you find out for sure, dear?
23:31It's really important.
23:32It's 1215.
23:33When we have to stop and go down?
23:35Yes, that's what they said.
23:36They said 1215, we have to be ready for runway.
23:39You told me 12.
23:40Thank you, Angela.
23:41It's 1230 now.
23:42Okay.
23:43I asked you four times to find out for sure.
23:45And you stand here and you say 1215 like you know for sure.
23:48You know, the whole time of the gown, you didn't help me.
23:53You absolutely cannot do that.
23:54I know.
23:55Because you know why?
23:56I offered to help you with the gown.
23:57That's your style.
23:58How silly of me to get mad or stoop so low.
24:02I'm really looking for more red carpet than pageant.
24:09Like a little volume sort of movie stuff.
24:15Nice.
24:16That's looking good.
24:17Okay, designers, models, this is it.
24:22I need you to follow me right now.
24:26I was really, really concerned about the skirt.
24:30It was too short.
24:31It was just, it was too late.
24:32We didn't have enough time.
24:33We had to leave it.
24:34Right now.
24:40Coming up on Project Runway.
24:42What happened here?
24:45This was the nightmare of my life.
24:54Hello.
24:55Hi.
24:58Welcome to the runway.
25:00As you know in fashion, one day you're in, and the next day you're out.
25:06For this challenge, we asked you to work in teams of two to create an evening gown for Miss USA, Tara Connor.
25:14We gave you $300 and two days to put it together.
25:19Tara will wear the winning look in the Miss Universe pageant,
25:23and she's putting her future in your hands.
25:26So we better be wowed by what you've done.
25:32Let's meet the judges.
25:34Sitting in for Michael Kors, we have world-renowned fashion designer, Vera Wang.
25:41Nina Garcia, fashion director of Elle magazine.
25:46And your client, Miss USA, Tara Connor.
25:51We will score your designs as they come down the runway, and Tara will pick the winner.
25:59Let's start the show.
26:00When I saw my dress come down the runway, I was totally excited.
26:11I couldn't stop looking at the beautifully grotesque way that the skirt was draped.
26:15It turned out exactly the way I wanted it to turn out.
26:18I think if we had two weeks, we could make a really gorgeous dress.
26:21But the fact that it was so complicated and the time was so little,
26:24the end result wasn't exactly what I thought it would be.
26:31The design that I pitched to Tara is exactly what we made.
26:34Miss USA loved the sketch, so she'll love the dress, hopefully.
26:38I'm not worried about being eliminated.
26:42I think it turned out very, very nice.
26:50When my dress came down the runway, I felt really, really good.
26:54I got my point of view across.
27:01Vincent was very difficult to work with.
27:04That was Vincent's dress, not Vincent and Angela's dress.
27:07I feel really confident about my gown.
27:10I've been to 462 million pageants and I've never seen a dress like it, so I feel good about it.
27:25I felt really good about what we had finished and accomplished and what the gown looked like.
27:31It really felt like it had delivered on what a beauty pageant winner would want.
27:36I've put my best foot forward.
27:46I know what I've done is really good, but we'll see what they say.
27:53I wasn't happy with it at all, but I did the best I could with his design.
27:58I think it was really modern and clean and sophisticated.
28:10And the points Tara picked out, they were definitely accomplished.
28:20I think it was really eye-catching and beautiful and it was very true to what Uli had pitched.
28:26My garment is very different. The silhouette is much simpler.
28:35I'm very proud of the dress, but I think that Tara is the real judge here.
28:41It was gorgeous. If I don't say something myself, I did an excellent job on the construction.
28:45We've scored your designs. Will the following teams please step forward?
29:07Cain and Robert.
29:11Milan and Catherine.
29:15Uli and Bonnie.
29:19Vincent and Angela.
29:23If I have not called your name, congratulations.
29:30Your scores were high enough and you can move on to the next challenge.
29:33You can leave the runway.
29:35The four remaining teams have the highest and the lowest scores.
29:52One of you will be named the winner.
29:55And for this challenge, only one of you will be going home.
30:02Let's bring out the models.
30:05I would like to start with Uli and Bonnie.
30:19It's a beautiful gown. I love the way it flows.
30:22I thought really when she's walking, it opens up and it makes you really soft and flowy.
30:28I really like the way it is in the back. I think that's beautiful.
30:30I love the back of that.
30:31Because I said I wanted something with the back cut out of it.
30:33How was your feeling on the dress, Bonnie?
30:35I loved it and I thought we really got along well.
30:38I'm happy with it.
30:40I think it's a very modern dress.
30:43And I love the color.
30:44I do love the color.
30:45I love the layering of the color.
30:47I think that's very unique.
30:49I think they did very, very well.
30:50Tara, how would you like Kane and Robert's dress?
30:53I love a sweetheart top.
30:54My top at Miss USA was actually a sweetheart top with straps.
30:59The color seemed different for me, but the more I looked at it, the more I loved the color.
31:03I thought this was earthy, but with a little bit of color.
31:06And on stage, like, I just want for you that Miss Universe.
31:08You've already won the state pageant.
31:09You've already won the national pageant.
31:10You're going to Miss Universe, for goodness sakes.
31:11So that's why I was like, this was a perfect little meet in the middle.
31:16It's amazing that you took the initiative to choose the color that you thought was complimentary to her.
31:28And I had reservations about it being too much, but Kane convinced me.
31:32And when I actually saw it all together, I thought that he did a great job of really seeing it through.
31:37You listen very well to everything that I said, and there's not a whole lot of bad things I can say about this gown.
31:43Milan and Catherine.
31:48The ruching is a lot of detail on one dress.
31:53I love all that gathering and all that. I think that's very modern, very cool.
31:58I just, something up there is not quite right.
32:00There's like so much going on. It's so poofy. One is bigger than the other.
32:04I was a bit confused on that as well because, you know, you can't tell where the action's going.
32:09Yeah.
32:10What happened here with this bustier?
32:13Basically, when this was to be done for Tara, it would be done much flatter.
32:17But we built this up a little bit more just to give her the illusion, like a theatrical illusion, that she's a little bigger on top as Tara is.
32:24And I think Tara wanted to look less busty, not more busty.
32:29And then something down there is not quite right. I don't know.
32:32It's not long enough.
32:33The model, her proportions, actually she's much longer in the torso than any of the other models, and I wasn't aware of that.
32:40It's always good to leave extra.
32:42Yeah.
32:43Catherine, what do you think of the design?
32:46I went into this challenge with, this is Milan's design.
32:51In your team, if one of you would have to go, who would it be?
32:54I would have to say Milan.
32:56I just don't want to go home when it wasn't my vision and my design.
33:01Milan.
33:02The design concept was my own.
33:04I mean, it would have to be me.
33:08Vincent and Angela, did you guys work well together?
33:15The work that I decided to put into this in the two days was astronomical.
33:20I had to rip this apart for mistakes that she put in and do it all myself.
33:26Angela, what do you think of the dress?
33:29I didn't like it.
33:30I thought it was too simple.
33:31I thought it reminded me of a dress that I did when I was in college.
33:36Can I see the back of that?
33:39Because I thought this was really beautiful in the back.
33:42It's very sweet.
33:43Why, thank you so much.
33:45I do think that the sleeve is, you know, it's not easy to wear.
33:50They're looking a little Spice Cadet.
33:53I think the idea is sophisticated, though.
33:56And how minimal it is does make it interesting.
33:59It just didn't feel designery to me or inspired or different.
34:03I can't see this as being one that would stand out.
34:07Actually, I disagree with you.
34:09I think the dress does stand out because it is so different.
34:12Like, I almost feel like maybe you were trying to lead when he was the leader.
34:17I was the team leader, and if someone says to you,
34:20I have no ideas about gowns, what would you do?
34:24That's rough. That's rough stuff.
34:26Vincent, if one of you would have to go, who would it be?
34:30What she put me through to make this dress happen, it was horrific.
34:35So Angela would go?
34:37Oh, yes.
34:38What do you think about that, Angela?
34:40I'm shocked. I'm in complete and total shock.
34:44This was the nightmare of my life.
34:49Okay, I want to thank you guys.
34:51We've heard what you had to say.
34:53We're going to have a little chat.
34:55And then I'm going to call you back onto the runway for now.
34:58You can leave the runway.
35:10What do we think about Vincent and Angela?
35:13Well, with Vincent's dress, it was very simple.
35:15If we could just taper the sleeves a little, that would make that gown.
35:20I think that gown is classic.
35:22What do you guys think about Angela on her teamwork with Vincent?
35:28That was out of line.
35:29Part of this challenge was to work as a team.
35:32She should have been able to work as a team, Angela.
35:34It was design and teamwork.
35:36It was terrible.
35:38What do we think about Uli and Bonnie?
35:44Uli's, I liked Uli's.
35:45It was the most modern dress.
35:47It was young and hip and happening.
35:49Yes.
35:50Sophisticated.
35:51The low back, the sexy.
35:52She did listen because I did say that I wanted a low back and they listened to that.
35:55That dress was perfectly beautiful.
36:00What do we think about Cain and Robert?
36:02I like the detail on Cain's dress.
36:04You know, it wasn't too much.
36:06It was very elegant and it was very almost blitzy.
36:09I love the crystals that are on it.
36:11I mean, I can totally see you in that walking and you'd be like, whoa.
36:15Right.
36:16It turned out pretty good.
36:19How about Milan and Catherine?
36:21I don't really know what happened with that one.
36:23One of the things that I did tell them, I want something that will show me.
36:26When that girl was out there, I didn't even see her.
36:29And then the bottom was unfinished.
36:32Horrible.
36:33And just thinking of that dress of your pageant in between all these girls.
36:37Right.
36:42We made up our mind.
36:43Let's bring them back out.
36:45The eight of you will present the best and the worst.
37:00One of you will be named the winner.
37:03And one of you will be out.
37:06Robert.
37:07Robert.
37:08You're in.
37:09Please leave the runway.
37:11Bonnie.
37:12The eight of you will present the best and the worst.
37:18One of you will be named the winner.
37:22And one of you will be out.
37:26Robert, you're in.
37:29Please leave the runway.
37:38Bonnie, you're in.
37:42Please leave the runway.
37:48And now for the winner.
37:50I would like for Tara to announce who the winner is.
37:54The winner of this challenge is Cain.
37:59I love that gown.
38:02I'm going to work that gown.
38:04So thank you so much.
38:06Cain, you won this challenge and you have immunity for the next challenge.
38:11Congratulations.
38:12You can leave the runway.
38:14I like to say.
38:17Winning this challenge is definitely going to be a huge, huge advancement in my career.
38:24Everybody's going to know that I was the gown designer for Miss USA.
38:29It's so exciting.
38:30Uli, you're in.
38:37You can leave the runway.
38:42Catherine, you're in.
38:46You can leave the runway.
38:47Vincent, you're in.
39:08You can leave the runway.
39:10Milan, Angela, one of you will be out.
39:25Milan, this challenge was about design.
39:27And from color choice to execution, we feel that you failed.
39:35Angela, this challenge also was about teamwork.
39:39And you failed your teammate.
39:42Angela, you're in.
39:55But just barely.
39:57You can leave the runway.
40:09Milan, that means you're out.
40:11I'll feed us in.
40:19Oh my God, I just got kicked off the show.
40:26And I felt so ashamed.
40:35I hate saying goodbye to people because I've had to say goodbye to people in my life.
40:40I never really had a lot of friends.
40:43So it's kind of like for a moment I felt like I'm a part of something.
40:48Man, now it's over.
40:52But I've had far too many roadblocks in my life.
40:55This isn't going to make me believe that I'm not capable of creating fashion.
41:02The show must go on.
41:03I'm going to make you wish to view it.
41:07I'm going to swear I can say goodbye to people.
41:12I love you.
