Toyota frischt die TRD Pro-Modelle für 2026 mit nur einer, aber umso auffälligeren Neuerung auf: Der neue Farbton „Wave Maker“ sorgt bei 4Runner, Tacoma, Tundra und Sequoia für einen echten Hingucker – auf Straße wie im Gelände.

Technisch bleibt alles beim Alten: Der 2,4-l-Turbovierzylinder im 4Runner und Tacoma liefert 331 PS und 630 Nm, während Tundra und Sequoia mit dem 3,4-l-V6-Biturbo-Hybrid auf 443 PS und 790 Nm kommen. Verkaufsstart ist im Herbst – alle Details im Video!

00:04Today, we're going to be talking about Toyota's striking new color option for its 2026 TRD Pro models.
00:12The TRD Pro models, including the Runner, Tacoma, Tundra, and Sequia,
00:17are known for their powerful styling and serious off-road capabilities.
00:22Now, Toyota is giving this quartet a fresh look with the Wavemaker color that literally stands out.
00:30This bold blue paint job was developed by the in-house County Design Studio,
00:35whose studio manager in Ann Arbor, Benjamin Jimenez,
00:38explains that they were inspired by previously unexplored adventure realms,
00:42all the way to extreme terrain and beyond.
00:47While that may sound poetic, it's clear that this color is set to turn heads both on and off the road.
00:54Toyota has offered its THD Pro models in numerous special colors,
00:58but few have been as eye-catching as Wavemaker.
01:03Previous bold colors such as Voodoo Blue, Inferno, Solar Orange, or Lime Rush already had a signal effect,
01:10while more subtle variants such as Army Green or the Earthy Mudoth are also available and have also found their fans.
01:18Starting in the fall, dealers in the United States will receive the 2026 TRD Pro models.
01:23No further major innovations are planned, which hardly seems necessary given the current model quality.
01:33The current generation of the Tacoma TRD Pro was only launched a few years ago
01:38and brought with it an exciting innovation in the form of the so-called IZynamic Performance Seats.
01:42These seats are equipped with shock absorbers to effectively reduce body and head movements while driving.
01:51A clear advantage for demanding off-road use.
01:55The various TR Pro models also differ in terms of drive technology.
01:59The Verunner and Tacoma have a 2.4L four-cylinder turbo engine in combination with an electric motor,
02:07which results in a system output of around 331 horsepower and around 630 newm of torque.
02:16The larger Tundra and Sequia models, on the other hand, rely on a 3.4-liter V6 turbocharged engine with hybrid support,
02:23which produces around 443 horsepower and an impressive 790 newtonim.
02:31Whether you're cruising along the coast or battling over rocky terrain,
02:35the new color scheme makes every THRD Pro model stand out from the crowd.
