00:00Welcome to our latest video from TuningBlock, where we introduce you to the impressive new
00:11Toyota Sequoia. A vehicle that is sure to make SUV enthusiasts' hearts beat faster.
00:19The Toyota Sequoia debuts in its new generation with a powerful 443-horsepower V6 hybrid engine,
00:26which not only offers impressive performance but also remarkable efficiency.
00:34This robust SUV, which will first appear on the U.S. market in 2022 as a 2023 model year,
00:41replaces the now-outdated second-generation of the three-row SUV and sets new standards in both
00:46technical and visual terms. Toyota is taking this opportunity to give the Sequoia a comprehensive
00:54overhaul. Following the discontinuation of the legendary Land Cruiser in the United States,
01:00the Sequoia is now elevated to the brand's top SUV. This strategic decision underscores the
01:07significance of the new model and the high expectations that Toyota has for the Sequoia.
01:13The extensive changes are not just cosmetic, but also affect the technical underpinnings of the
01:18vehicle, which significantly enhances the new Sequoia in terms of performance and versatility.
01:25A standout feature of the new Sequoia is its powertrain. All versions of the new SUV are equipped
01:32with a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 hybrid engine, which Toyota calls the E-Force Max. This engine delivers
01:41an impressive 4.43 horsepower and develops 790 newton-meters of torque, an output that is on par
01:48with the proven Tundra. The only transmission available is a 10-speed automatic, which ensures
01:55smooth and efficient power delivery. Toyota emphasizes that fuel economy is a huge improvement
02:03compared to the previous generation. While the old models had a consumption of 18,100 kilometers in
02:11the city, this figure is significantly reduced in the new Sequoia, which makes it not only powerful,
02:17but also more economical in everyday use. The new generation of the Sequoia is based on the same
02:24modular body-on-frame platform as the current Tundra, the Land Cruiser and the Lexus LX600.
02:30This common basis enables a high level of flexibility and robustness, which is essential
02:37for a large SUV like the Sequoia. Buyers can choose between two-wheel drive or optional part-time
02:44all-wheel drive, depending on their individual needs and areas of use. In particular, the THD Pro
02:52package is only available with all-wheel drive, making it the ideal choice for those who want to
02:56use the vehicle intensively off-road. The chassis of the new Sequoia consists of independent front
03:04suspension and a multi-link axle at the rear, which ensures excellent driving dynamics and stability.
03:12Adaptive dampers and an air suspension system for the rear axle are optionally available,
03:17which further increase ride comfort and can adapt the vehicle to different road conditions.
03:21Another highlight of the new Sequoia is its impressive towing capacity.
03:29With a maximum towing capacity of 4,782 kilograms,
03:34the Sequoia can tow almost 20% more than its predecessor models.
03:39This makes it the perfect choice for anyone who wants to transport heavy loads or tow a trailer.
03:44In addition to its impressive pulling power, the new CQR offers numerous practical features that
03:52make towing easier. These include electrically foldable trailer mirrors that provide improved
03:59visibility, as well as a panoramic monitor that provides a bird's-eye view of the vehicle
04:03and its surroundings. These technologies contribute significantly to safety and convenience,
04:11especially when maneuvering in tight or confusing areas.
04:17The exterior design of the new CQR is robust and streamlined, giving it a distinctive and powerful
04:23appearance. The front end is very reminiscent of the current Tundra, with a large grille that varies
04:31depending on the trim level. For example, the THD Pro package features wide black hexagons,
04:40while the capstone package features smaller openings with a chrome finish.
04:46The curved headlights enhance the aggressive look and provide excellent illumination of the road.
04:54The muscular fenders with distinctive edges above the wheel openings underscore the Sequoia's robust
04:59build. The base of the D-pillar is angled forward and the rear window partially merges into the bodywork,
05:07giving the vehicle an aerodynamic and powerful presence.
05:15Overall, the design of the Sequoia conveys an impression of strength and reliability that is
05:20impressive both in urban environments and off-road.
05:25Inside the Sequoia, passengers can expect a spacious and comfortable ambience with three rows of seats.
05:31Depending on the selected trim level, the second row of seats has either a generous bench seat or
05:39freestanding individual seats that can be individually adjusted.
05:46The third row of seats can be moved forwards and backwards by six centimeters and is equipped with
05:51a practical shelving system in the rear that makes it easier to stack luggage in the rear.
05:55This flexible interior design makes the Sequoia an ideal companion for family outings,
06:03long journeys or everyday use.
06:06The new Toyota Sequoia is available in five trim levels,
06:10SR5, Limited, Platinum, TRD Pro and Capstone.
06:16Each of these variants offers a unique combination of comfort, technology and design,
06:20so that there is something for every taste and need.

06:29which includes advanced safety features such as adaptive cruise control,
06:32lane departure warning, and automatic emergency braking.
06:38Additionally, all variants have heated seats, a sunroof, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster,
06:44and a panoramic camera system that makes parking and maneuvering easier.
06:48The SR5 trim is already very well equipped and features an 8.0-inch infotainment display.
06:57The SR5, Premium, on the other hand, offers a significantly larger 14.0-inch display,
07:04as well as power-folding third-row seats, a hands-free tailgate,

07:11Both SR5 models can also be equipped with the TRD Sport Package,
07:17which includes Bilstein shock absorbers and revised suspension tuning.
07:24These variants also ride on matte black 20-inch wheels instead of the standard 18-inch ones,
07:29which not only looks impressive, but also improves driving dynamics.
07:32The Limited trim builds on the SR5 Premium and adds heated and ventilated front seats,
07:41a heated steering wheel, and sunshades for the second and third rows.
07:49These additional comfort features make the Limited a particularly attractive option
07:53for those who value the highest level of comfort and luxury in the interior.
07:56The TRD Off-Road Package is available for all-wheel-drive versions of the SR5 and Limited.
08:05This package includes a locking rear differential, 18-inch wheels,
08:09the multi-terrain select system, hill descent control, and a crawler gear.
08:16It also includes billet shock absorbers and revised suspension tuning that further improve off-road handling.
08:21This trim level makes the CQ-R a true off-road all-terrain beast that remains reliable and capable even in extreme conditions.
08:34The Platinum trim expands the Limited trim to include additional luxury features such as heated and ventilated second-row seats,
08:41a 14-speaker stereo system, a panoramic roof, a head-up display, wireless charging, and rain-sensing windshield wipers.

09:33Black 18-inch wheels with a larger offset ensure a wider stance and improved off-road capability.
09:38Dual exhaust pipes and the exclusive solar octane exterior color round off the THD Pro Package and give the Sequoia a distinctive appearance.
09:50The top version, the Capstone Package, focuses on luxury and exclusive details.
09:56This variant is equipped with chrome accents and electric running boards, which are not only practical but also visually appealing.
10:02The SUV rides on impressive 22-inch wheels with a shiny chrome finish, which lend the vehicle an elegant touch.
