00:16Today I'd like to introduce you to a 20-inch e-bike in the folding bike format.
00:21It's actually in the classic folding bike format, like folding bikes used to be.
00:25It basically has the same functions.
00:28You can fold the handlebars and
00:29once here and then the frame here, and then the thing is so small that it fits in a car, for example.
00:38Err, to be precise, that's the Grundig E20.
00:43Err, it has an aluminum frame and yes, it can be folded 180 degrees.
00:50And I've been out and about on the bike for a while now, and of course it's basically a pure city bike.
00:55Let's say, for maybe going to work or to university, school, or whatever.
01:01Of course, as you can see, it's not a trail bike or anything.
01:07Um, I use it in our area here.
01:09I live here a bit at the foot of the Fichtelberg.
01:12Um, I was out and about at the weekend and actually managed to cover over 40 kilometers on one battery charge in the mountains.
01:19So consistently on such, how should I say, yes, such roads, such mountain gradients.
01:25I have to say, the 40 kilometers was actually so empty, it was completely empty.
01:30Um, the battery.
01:31I then rode the last kilometer without a battery, but for mountains and such a small 252 watt hour battery, I think that's great.
01:43Um, I've written down a few things, because it's quite a lot.
01:47I don't have it all memorized right now.
01:49Um, I'm not going to cycle through the entire thing, but I'll give you a few excerpts.
01:52The important thing, as always, is that we've written a blog article about it and of course it contains all the essentials.

02:10I'll tell you in a moment what the reflector and bell are all about.
02:13They don't belong to the bike.

02:22Um, the bike's motor is a Winker Hecknabin motor with 30 newton meters of torque.
02:30The bike has 5 support levels.

02:41You see, I rode 55 kilometers.
02:44That was quite fun.
02:46In the meantime I had already charged it again.
02:49Rode another 10 kilometers or so.
02:51But I actually did exactly 40 kilometers and that matches the specification, because Grundig says 50 kilometers is ideal.
02:58You naturally assume that if you ride around in flat country and if you manage 40 kilometers here in the mountains, you can also manage 50 in the city.
03:07I think that's not unrealistic.
03:08Otherwise, it has two disc brakes.
03:14One here, one there.
03:16They're not absolute miracles, they're from Tektrol.
03:18But nevertheless, it's all brand quality or margin names, so to speak.
03:26The bike itself currently costs, I think, 750 euros.
03:30It's CE certified.
03:32There are always a few promotions where it's maybe 50 euros or 100 euros cheaper.
03:36The normal price is currently 750 euros though.
03:39It also comes with this cool lamp.
03:43And reflectors here at the back too.
03:44You can see that the film is still on here, because I only rode during the day.
03:48To be honest, I haven't even taken it out yet.
03:50But yeah, it's built in, right?
03:53Uh, the gear system, it's a 7-speed Shimano Tourne.

04:05The tires, by the way, they have reflectors on them.
04:08It's actually pretty cool, looks awesome too.
04:10And the pannier rack, I think it can hold up to 20 kilogram.
04:14Yeah, it's a typical city bike, right?
04:16So it's not an absolute miracle, but the saddle and everything is fine.

04:23Uh, my bottom didn't hurt after all those kilometers.
04:26And the metal protection surfaces are included.

04:33What I did notice is that when the motor is under load, it's not completely quiet.
04:38You can definitely hear it, but yes.
04:40Well, when you have background noises like that on the road, I think it's bearable.
04:44But I did notice that it's not the quietest bike.
04:49Anyone expecting that will probably have to look a little higher financially, I would almost say.
04:56Apart from that, let's talk about what's been rigged up here, and I actually think it's a pretty cool gimmick.
05:03Let's start with the lamp, because the spotlight is ultimately based on the same principle.
05:07And there, did I say lamp, with the bell?
05:12It's a bell with a built-in air tech.
05:17You have to buy that separately, so everything is separate.
05:20And it's the same secret for the reversing spotlight.
05:22You basically have the bell here, you can unscrew it.
05:27I'll do that now.
05:28I hope it doesn't fall off straight away.
05:30And then the air tech is in here.
05:34And in my opinion the background is very intelligently done.
05:37Because no one can think of it.
05:38I mean, no one can think of it.
05:40The bell looks like any other bell.
05:41Not every thief is afraid to steal something like this.
05:44They will have searched the internet for all types of bells and will know,
05:47Aha, that's a bell with the air tech.
05:49If a thief does find one, then you're out of luck.
05:52But I think the chances are very slim.
05:55And that's why I think it's a really cool idea.
05:57You have the teag in here down there.
05:59I think it will last for up to 6 months or so and it's completely unobtrusive.
06:05And it's the same with the spotlight.

06:11It doesn't really belong on the bike, there are various other mounts.

06:26It's just a reversing spotlight.

06:33In here, there's a small screw at the back.

06:35One at the top, one at the bottom.
06:38You can unscrew it and there's an airton there too and yes,
06:41it's inconspicuous, I don't think anyone will notice it.
06:44The functions of the air deck are well known, how it works.
06:49You have an app, you can then sort it out and the air techs,
06:53they don't work with GBS, they communicate with each other.
06:56That means that if the thing gets stolen in town and it rolls past the person with an iPhone,
07:02then the iPhone signals, well, oh god, I'm stammering right now.
07:07This iPhone records the data and, I think, encrypts it.
07:14If I've now got that across correctly with my non-technical expertise.
07:18That's exactly what the fun is like.
07:23You have the air techs with it, you have to buy that separately.
07:26I think it costs 50 euros.
07:28That was somehow less, I'm not entirely sure about the bell.
