00:00Welcome to our latest video from the Car Magazine Tuning Blog, in which we take a
00:10close look at the newly revised BMW Facelift. You can find the link to the detailed article
00:17in our magazine in the video description. The BMW Facelift will be presented in 2025
00:24with a completely new look and an impressive range of up to 700 kilometers. In addition
00:31to a visual refresh, the electric SUV will also receive a substantial power-up upgrade.
00:37The new BMW XDrive60 delivers 544 horsepower and thus sets a clear
00:42accent compared to the previous model XXDrive50. The sharpened front section catches the eye at
00:49first glance. With the facelift, all EXM models get a fundamentally changed front,
00:55with the daytime running light design taking center stage.
01:00Instead of the previous horizontal stripes on the narrow headlights,
01:03two almost vertical elements now dominate, creating a completely new effect.
01:09The interior of the characteristic large kidney grille has also been significantly revised.
01:14The BMW X-Facelift relies entirely on diagonal struts for its strut design,
01:20after a mix of vertical and diagonal struts was previously used on models such as the Iser,
01:25the Speiger Grand Coupe and the X3.
01:29The kidney grille is particularly impressive at night with an illuminated iconic glow surround,
01:34which lends the vehicle an elegant touch. The apron design around the kidney grille has also been
01:40redesigned, although this remains rather subtle compared to the front. Apart from the front,
01:46the changes to the rest of the electric SUV are rather moderate. The new rear apron and the now up
01:52to 23-inch rims bring a breath of fresh air, while the other aspects remain largely unchanged.
01:59For those who want a completely new look, the expanded color palette offers numerous new options.
02:04These include Arctic Race Blue, which was previously only available on the X3, as well as Dune Grey,
02:12Tanzanite Blue, Space Silver, Carbon Black and the matte variants Frozen Deep Grey and Frozen Pure Grey.
02:19Below the BMW X-XDrive 60 is the new X-Drive 45, whose range according to WLTP has increased
02:26considerably in both absolute figures and percentage terms. The Basic X is now available on the market with
02:32with 94 kWh of net capacity, which increases the maximum range in the standard cycle from 435 to up to 602 km.
02:41The power output has also been significantly increased. Instead of 326 horsepower, 408 horsepower are now available.
02:48At the same time, the maximum system torque has increased from 630 to 700 Nm.
02:55The third in the group is the new BMW XM70, which has been boosted to 659 horsepower with the facelift,
03:02making it the third most powerful vehicle in the BMW portfolio.
03:07Although the system torque of the two electric motors remains unchanged at 115 Nm in regular operation,
03:13the range of the performance version of the X has also increased up to 600 km,
03:18thanks to reduced consumption from 24.7 to 23.5 kWh.
03:23This increase in efficiency will also benefit the BMW i5 2025 from spring onwards, which will now have a larger range.
03:36All new BMW i5 models benefit from a retuning of the drive system,
03:40further develop power electronics and a heat pump to heat the high-capacity battery.
03:44Every day AC charging is possible with up to 22 kW, while fast chargers will be able to achieve charging power between 125 and 195 kW in the future.
03:59This means an increase in performance for the entry-level model, while the two large X variants actually experience a slight reduction in charging power.
04:06Greater driving comfort is provided by tires with foam absorbers, which were previously only found in various Rolls-Royce models and the SEER series.
04:17This efficient noise insulation measure is used in the X in combination with 22 or 23-inch rims.
04:23The facelift is rounded off by new seats and the new generation of steering wheels, which also give the electric SUV a fresh look in the interior.
