00:14The vehicle in the video is a BMW M70 Axe Drive in the cool color Frozen Deep Gray Metallic.
00:22However, the following information refers to the entire model range and not exclusively to the M70 Axe Drive.
00:30The BMW facelift will be presented in 2025 with a completely new look and an impressive range of up to 700 kilometers.
00:42In addition to a visual refresh, the electric SUV will also receive a substantial power upgrade.
00:48The new BMW X-Drive 60 produces 544 horsepower and thus sets a clear accent compared to the previous X-Drive 50 model.
01:00The sharpened front end catches the eye even at first glance.
01:04With the facelift, all X models get a fundamentally changed front end, with the daytime running light design taking center stage.
01:12Instead of the previous horizontal stripes on the narrow headlights, two almost vertical elements now dominate, creating a completely new effect.
01:20The interior of the characteristic large kidney grille has also been significantly revised.
01:27The BMW X facelift relies entirely on diagonal struts for its strut design, following a mix of vertical and diagonal struts previously used on models such as the Iser, the Speiger Grand Coupe, and the X3.
01:40The kidney grille is particularly impressive at night, with its illuminated iconic glow surround, which gives the vehicle an elegant touch.
01:50The apron design around the kidney grille has also been redesigned, although this remains rather subtle compared to the front.
01:56Apart from the front, the changes to the rest of the electric SUV are rather moderate.
02:02The new rear apron and the wheels, now up to 23 inches in size, bring a breath of fresh air, while the other aspects remain largely unchanged.
02:12For those who want a completely new look, the expanded color palette offers numerous new options.
02:17These include Arctic Race Blue, which was previously only available on the X3, as well as Dune Gray, Tan Blue, Space Silver, Carbon Black, and the matte variants Frozen Deep Gray and Frozen Pure Gray.
02:31Below the BMW X-Drive 60 is the new X-Drive 45, whose range according to the WLTP has increased significantly, both in absolute terms and in percentage terms.
02:42The base X now comes with a net capacity of 94 kWh, increasing the maximum range in the standard cycle from 435 to up to 602 kilometers.
02:54Performance has also been significantly increased, with 408 horsepower now available instead of 326 horsepower.
03:00At the same time, maximum system torque increases from 630 to 700 Nm.
03:05The third in the group is the new BMW XM70, which, with the facelift, has been boosted to 659 horsepower, making it the third most powerful vehicle in the BMW portfolio.
03:18Although the system torque of the two electric motors remains unchanged at 15 Nm in regular operation, the range of the performance version of the X also increases to up to 600 kilometers, thanks to reduced fuel consumption from 24.7 to 23.5 kWh.
03:38This efficiency improvement will also benefit the 2025 BMW i5 starting in spring, giving it a larger range.
03:48All new BMW X models benefit from a re-tuned drive system, including advanced power electronics and a heat pump to heat the high-capacity battery.
03:59Daily AC charging is possible with up to 22 kW, while rapid chargers will be able to achieve charging power between 125 and 195 kW in the future.
04:10This represents an increase in power for the entry-level model, while the two larger X variants actually experience a slight reduction in charging power.
04:21Tires with foam absorbers, previously only found in various Rolls-Royce models and the Sears series, offer greater driving comfort.
04:29This efficient soundproofing measure is used on the X in combination with 22 or 23-inch rims.
04:38The facelift is rounded off by new seats and the new generation of steering wheels, which also give the electric SUV a fresh look inside.
