Blade movie star Wesley Snipes is expected to be visiting these shores come November 4th for a Martial Arts Caravan hosted by the Black Hawks Martial Arts Academy. Snipes is set to be part of a slate that will be aiming to inspire children and set the tone for the Pan Caribbean Martial Arts Games.

00:00Hollywood actor best known for the role Blade, also known as Wesley Snipes,
00:05former WWE wrestler Mark Henry and other notable international martial arts figureheads
00:10are expected to be in these shows from November 4th to the 9th.
00:14So what's the big action movie?
00:16Well, they are coming for a martial arts caravan around the country
00:20to bring attention to the Pan-Caribbean Games which will be held in TNT.
00:24They will be welcomed by Blackhawks director Professor Christopher Francis.
00:28This brings a track to a lot of international people here.
00:34So you have people like Wesley Snipes, you have people like Mark Henry, WWE Brand,
00:38you have people like Ron Van Cleef, you have people here like C.J.C. Mohammed, Carlos Montalbos on the FBI.
00:46You have a lot of really high-profile persons coming to Trinidad to do, of course,
00:52a youth caravan dealing with school violence and disruptions in schools.
00:56and those guys are experts in the area.
00:59The caravan is expected to jump over to the east-west corridor, south-central,
01:04and considerations are being made for Tobago as well before the Pan-Caribbean Martial Arts Games
01:09which takes place on November 9th at the Aranguas North Secondary School.
01:14They are hoping to entertain approximately 500 competitors from around the world.
01:18That would attract people from all around the Caribbean.
01:21So you bring people from Mexico, Panama, Chile, Ecuador, Spain, United States, United Kingdom,
01:29people from Italy, people from South Africa, people from South Korea would come to Pan-Caribbean.
01:37So it's really a world event.
01:39In addition, at least the 30 masters will be in attendance
01:42as they will be presented with their diploma for attaining different grades of black belts.
01:47However, how will attendees get to know who is the greatest master of them all?
01:52Will you be battling any one of them?
01:55Well, we don't battle as masters, but we're always there to perform if needed
02:00to show the younger generation what it took to elevate our skills.
02:12There will be different styles on display, including hapkido, kana jiu-jitsu,
02:17and other forms of martial arts.
02:19I'm a retired LAPD officer, so my job on this committee
02:25and this caravan of experts that's coming here is to just lecture to the kids.
02:31Now, we're not going to save every child,
02:33but if we save one child like I was saved, we have done our job.
02:38Try all you like.
02:39It takes patience, endurance, and self-control
02:42to learn a style that's been around for decades.
02:45The masters coming in for the initiative will be hoping their words
02:49help craft the right martial artist with a listening ear
02:52when the opportunity arises November 4th to the night
02:55for the Pan-Caribbean Games.
