00:00So, did the White House fake a presidential speech with AI?
00:03That's certainly what the internet thought after President Trump's address about Charlie Kirk.
00:07But hold up. Right there.
00:09See that glitchy moment with Trump's finger?
00:11Social media exploded, claiming that this was proof that the video was AI-generated.
00:15Millions of views, hot takes, and conspiracy theories later, experts stepped in.
00:20Hani Farid, a professor at UC Berkeley and co-founder of Get Real Security, said,
00:24Nope, not AI.
00:26His team ran audio and video analysis and found no signs of deepfake tech.
00:30The voice matched the mouth movements, and there were no lip-sync fails or robotic vibes.
00:34Filmmaker Albert Bozen chimed in, claiming it was likely a morph-cut effect.
00:38Basically, video editors used this to stitch together takes.
00:41It's usually smooth, but if someone moves too much, boom, finger-swap glitch.
00:46They argue that even small distortions could be signs of manipulation,
00:50but experts say, don't confuse editing with AI fakery.
00:53And why does all of this matter?
00:54Well, Trump's speech wasn't just any speech.
00:56It blamed the radical left for Kirk's death and called for a crackdown on certain organizations.
01:00If people think it's fake, it undermines trust in real political messaging.
01:04Now, this whole debate shows how easy it is to lose trust when videos look strange or edited.
01:09As AI keeps getting better, how can we trust that things are real without jumping to wild conclusions?
01:13But what do you think?
01:14Is this real?
01:15Is this AI?
