00:00President Trump is downplaying any talk of a reunion with Elon Musk after the two were seen sitting together and sharing a brief conversation at Charlie Kirk's memorial service.
00:12A reporter asked the president after the service if he and the Tesla CEO might join forces again. Trump dismissed the idea.
00:19Well, Elon came over and said, well, no, it's nothing to do with that. I thought it was nice. He came over and had a little conversation. We had a very good relationship, but it was nice that he came over.
00:33It's the first time Trump and Musk have been spotted together since their high profile fallout earlier this year.
00:39In a bitter exchange on social media in June, Musk accused Trump of failing to release the Jeffrey Epstein files, alleging Trump was in them.
00:47The White House called that false. Musk also opposed the president's big, beautiful bill, prompting Trump to threaten a review of Musk's government contracts and to accuse him of Trump derangement syndrome.
00:59Still, Trump recently called Musk 80 percent genius and, quote, 20 percent. He's got some problems.
01:06The two were close. Trump tapped Musk to head the department government efficiency, which aimed to downsize the federal government and led to major cuts to the government workforce.
