Montha Cyclone. The Meteorological Department said that the depression formed in the Bay of Bengal has strengthened and turned into a cyclonic storm. "It is centered over the southwest-southeast central Bay of Bengal. It is moving west-northwestwards. In the last 6 hours, it has moved at a speed of 16 km per hour. It is likely to intensify into a severe cyclonic storm by Tuesday morning. The cyclone is centered 710 km south-southeast of Visakhapatnam, 680 km south-southeast of Kakinada, and 600 km east-southeast of Chennai. బంగాళాఖాతంలో ఏర్పడిన వాయుగుండం బలపడి మొంథా తుపానుగా మారినట్లు వాతావరణ శాఖ తెలిపింది. ‘‘నైరుతి-ఆగ్నేయ మధ్య బంగాళాఖాతంలో ఇది కేంద్రీకృతమై ఉంది. ఇది పశ్చిమ వాయవ్య దిశగా కదులుతోంది. గడిచిన 6 గంటల్లో గంటకు 16 కి.మీ. వేగంతో కదిలింది. మంగళవారం ఉదయానికి తీవ్ర తుపానుగా మారే అవకాశం ఉంది. విశాఖకు దక్షిణ ఆగ్నేయంగా 710 కి.మీ. దూరంలో, కాకినాడకు ఆగ్నేయంగా 680కి.మీ. దూరంలో, చెన్నైకి తూర్పు ఆగ్నేయంగా 600 కి.మీ. దూరంలో తుపాను కేంద్రీకృతమై ఉంది. #CycloneMontha #MonthaCyclone #AndhraPradesh #Montha #Kakinada #apnews
