Montha Cyclone. Cyclone Montha is heading towards Andhra Pradesh. The severe low pressure area formed in the southeast Bay of Bengal strengthened into a cyclonic storm yesterday (Saturday). It is centered 920 km from Kakinada. Heavy rains are already lashing many parts of the state. In this context, holidays have been declared in three districts. Holidays have been declared for educational institutions in Guntur, Krishna and NTR districts on the 27th, 28th and 29th.
ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ వైపు మొంథా తుఫాన్‌ దూసుకొస్తోంది. ఆగ్నేయ బంగాళాఖాతంలో ఏర్పడిన తీవ్ర అల్పపీడనం నిన్న(శనివారం) వాయుగుండంగా బలపడింది. కాకినాడకు 920కిలోమీటర్ల దూరంలో ఇది కేంద్రీకృతమైంది. ఇప్పటికే రాష్ట్ర వ్యాప్తంగా పలు ప్రాంతాల్లో భారీ వర్షాలు కురుస్తున్నాయి. ఈ నేపథ్యంలోనే మూడు జిల్లాల్లో సెలవులు ప్రకటించారు. గుంటూరు, కృష్ణా, ఎన్టీఆర్ జిల్లాల్లో 27, 28, 29 తేదీల్లో విద్యాసంస్థలకు సెలవులు ప్రకటించారు.
