00:00A Minnesota mother who went viral after a video taken in April emerged of her using the N-word
00:05is now facing criminal charges, potential jail time, and a fine.
00:10The Rochester County Attorney's Office says it has filed three counts of disorderly conduct
00:15against the woman identified as Shiloh Hendricks after they say she called a black child a racial slur.
00:21Here's video of the incident after her alleged verbal attack on the child
00:25as a bystander confronts her with a cell phone camera.
00:30The video has received millions of views and Rochester Mayor Kim Norton said in a statement
00:52it has caused real turmoil in the community.
00:54The criminal complaint filed Tuesday accuses Hendricks of being
00:58wrongfully and unlawfully engaged in offensive, obscene, or abusive language
01:03that would reasonably tend to arouse alarm, anger, or resentment from others.
01:08While many have condemned the woman for her behavior, others have defended her
01:12after she says her address and her personal information was leaked online.
01:16As of Wednesday, her Give, Send, Go page has raised more than $800,000 with a goal of $1 million.
01:22The little boy's GoFundMe, meanwhile, has raised more than $340,000.
01:28The child was listed as a five-year-old in the initial report, but the criminal complaint
01:32describes him as an eight-year-old.
01:35According to police, the father chased down the little boy, who is autistic, after he took
01:40an applesauce pouch out of another person's diaper bag.
01:43Hendricks allegedly repeatedly called the little boy a racial slur and took the item away from him.
01:48If convicted, Hendricks faces up to 90 days in jail and or a $1,000 fine.
