00:00Protesters face off against federal agents on the southwest side of Chicago after a border
00:10patrol agent shot a woman. The Department of Homeland Security says the woman was armed.
00:18Agents shot the woman as she tried to ram a law enforcement vehicle.
00:21Aldermen representing the neighborhood are calling for an investigation.
00:24We want to demand an investigation. There are escalating violence. There are escalating
00:30violence in the city. This is not making anyone safer. These raids, you saw the raids that just
00:35did a few days ago, they were innocent people. They have not shown the need to go and terrorize
00:41families in the middle of the night, see blocking kids, getting people naked in the middle of the
00:45street. Is that public safety? Is this public safety ended up with a shooting? Some being chased
00:51and now wrecked and a few blocks away from here. This is not keeping nobody safe. And they know
00:56that. The Department of Homeland Security says the woman drove herself to the hospital. However,
01:01the Chicago Sun-Times reports Chicago fire authorities say the woman was transported,
01:06enlisted in fair condition. No law enforcement officers were seriously injured. U.S. Homeland
01:11Security Secretary Kristi Noem posted on social media she was sending additional special operations
01:16to control the scene. Earlier in the day, Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker said he was given an ultimatum
01:21by President Donald Trump to deploy Illinois' National Guard. For Straight Arrow News, I'm Jack Henry.
