00:00Mark Solerith is absolutely tripping with his take on what the Giants should do with Russell Wilson and Jackson Dart.

00:06The Giants should cut Russell Wilson and start Jackson Dart.

00:12And to me, if you drafted Jackson Dart, you came back up in the 25th pick overall,

00:18and you're a roster right now offensively that has struggled,

00:21and you're in a division that has Philly, that has Washington,

00:25that has a Cowboy team that expects to bounce back since they got their quarterback back,

00:30you start your rookie, and you go with the growing pains,

00:33and you understand that you're not going to the playoffs right now.

00:36You do have a great defense, which is one of the best things you can give a young quarterback is a great defense.

00:41I think it's just time to rip off the Band-Aid and say, Jackson Dart, you're our guy.

00:46Oh, violence and hot takes before training camp has even started.

00:50But guys, this is the part of the NFL calendar year that we, the media, hate the most.

00:55It's that dead period in between many camps and training camp.

00:59There's no real football news or stories going on, so we have to come up with crazy stuff to say

01:05for the clicks, the retweets, and the shares.

01:07And I'm not coming at the guy, the man that said it.

01:09Much respect for Mark.

01:11But what he said is absolutely crazy.

01:12But he did his job because he went viral, and we're all talking about it.

01:16But let's go back to what he said.

01:19Why would the Giants waste a season of having a defense like they have on paper right now

01:24just to get Jackson Dart through some growing pains?

01:28Giants fans and this franchise has gone through growing pains the last six years,

01:32which is why they went out and they got a Russell Wilson and a Jameis Winston.

01:36I've been at the OTAs.

01:37I've been at many camp practices.

01:40Russell Wilson, right now, gives this team the best chance to win games.

01:44And he gives them the best chance to evaluate what you have on the roster

01:48through solid and consistent quarterback play.

01:52We don't know how good the 2024 Giants defense could have been

01:55or how good they actually were last season

01:58because they had to hold teams to under 10 or 14 points

02:01for a chance for them to even stay in and win a game.

02:05That's the same defense that led and tied the league for the lead in sacks

02:10almost the entire first half of the season.

02:13But that wasn't talked about much because the offense wasn't putting up much points

02:16and they were losing games.

02:17I say the Giants need to stay on course and let Russ cook for as long as needed

02:23until Jackson is ready to take the apron and the chef's hat

02:26and go full salt bae or until some sort of unfortunate event or injury happens.

02:32But that's what no one wants to see.
