00:00All right, I want to be appropriate when I say this, but he has balls.
00:06Okay, this is New York Post. You can say balls.
00:08Yeah, yeah, he has balls of steel.
00:11And you see it in practice where he's just like, I would say we, I don't know if I can say it, but it was a fourth down, right?
00:21Okay, all right.
00:22It was a fourth down, and I was in there with him, and we had a call and motion over.
00:29I know that it's man-to-man coverage.
00:32They got a man blitz, so to say, and it's fourth down, and then I run my route, and he sees it as I see it, but it's a drop player.
00:41They ran a man blitz with a drop defender, and the drop defender drops right underneath me.
00:46And when I tell you, as a quarterback, you're like, ah, you second-guess yourself, or you pump the ball, and it's just like, mm-mm, he full-on hit me, fourth and three, conversion.
00:59I jump over, you know, the drop defender.
01:02I catch the ball, and it's just like most quarterbacks don't go out there and just say, let it rip.
01:09Like, as a rookie quarterback, they'll just be like, ah, they don't want to make that mistake.
01:13And not to say it was a mistake, but it's just like he's going out there playing ball, and it's just like that's somebody you can play with, you can be out there with, because you know they there to win, too.
01:23And that's the mentality I have.
01:25I go to win.
01:25I go to win no matter who's out there, who we playing, you know, where we at.
01:30I don't care.
01:31I'm just out there to win, and that's my mentality, and I'm not trying to lose, and he has the same mentality.
01:36And it's just like it's so fun being out there with somebody like that.
01:39And it's just like you get to be yourself and just have fun playing ball, and when you feel like you're unstoppable, and you got the other person that feel like that, the connection is, you know, mutual, and you start seeing a lot of things happen.
01:51I tell people, like, as a receiver, like, you get excited about the Russ, the Jameis, the Tommies, the Jackson Darts, because they're all quarterbacks that are going to allow you to be evaluated, you know?
02:03Like, you can come into a situation, and it's like while you're waiting to play with the one, the Mahomes, the Elis, the two and the three, and that fourth guy that's just there, you know, collecting a little training camp check, they're not getting you the rock.
02:20And it's like, I got dude beat by one or two steps, and you're throwing it behind me.
02:24Now I got to make a heck of a grab instead of just putting my speed on tape and running by someone.
02:29And I say that a difference to what I've seen, and there's, again, no knock on any of the quarterbacks that have been through here, is you're being able to, and we say it on the beat, we're able to watch and evaluate the receivers a little bit better this spring than what we kind of have before.
