00:00can the jackson dart hype and the eagles win high hold up in the altitude the giants coming
00:07off a mini bye week and uh they're gonna head on out to denver on sunday it's monday ladies and
00:13gentlemen let's officially put week six to bed let's bring in former giants receiver super bowl
00:18champ david tyree and giants beat writer for the post uh paul schwartz gentlemen you enjoy your
00:23weekends paul weekend off is always good yeah and um you know what when you have a long weekend
00:30and you get to write about a great win on thursday and you can write about it on friday and saturday
00:36and sunday instead of thinking the things what the heck am i gonna write about this team that
00:40loses all the time it's a lot of stories when the team wins a lot we'll break some of them down here
00:45you guys know right i mean you know you guys have played you know you have an off weekend you're
00:49off a win it's um it's great it's great and um it was great for the giants and um you know and you
00:55know what i think it's good that they got to enjoy it and now flush it you know they had a whole weekend
01:00to do it now they come back and you know it's on to the next the next the next the next yeah dt i was
01:05thinking the same thing paul it's like a win going into the bye week is always a great thing but a win
01:11going into the mini bye i feel like it's perfect and is what this team needed right yeah 100 man i mean
01:19momentum and a sense of real positive direction right i think when you number one getting a win
01:25number two getting a long way to win uh versus your your turnpike uh you know nemesis there even more
01:34so so um they couldn't have rebounded to what what was i don't want to say least expected against the
01:40winless saints but it was a really really positive show in relation to hey man we actually are
01:44professionals we come to play and we can't play a complete team game which was kudos to the coaching
01:51staff and the players for having to resolve and the gall to step up against a formidable opponent
01:55well they were before we go in and break down the game we've seen you know the hype videos that the
02:02giants put out we've seen former players come in try and get the crowd hype but no one got the crowd
02:09hype like before the eagles game i want to i want you guys to check this video out because i might be
02:15out of a job after this one uh producer
02:17and he did the helmet catch at the edge
02:39dt dt i was looking at you like like it was coming up coming uh was it coming to america i was
02:46looking like that boy good you was hyped for that man hey listen they tell you if you if you're going
02:53to show up don't get me a ticket to the prom okay because i'm trying to get prom king at the end of
02:57the day what whatever the job is you got to do it to the fullest of your abilities and obviously you
03:02know like the the fans i think any former player who has the ability to play this game at some measure
03:08as a as a when you're in your playing career you appreciate the fans but you don't understand
03:12how valuable they are to your longevity so the giants fans have always kept me through and through
03:17the respect through the years so it was great to come back and give me some of that helmet catch
03:21energy so we can get the dub come on man absolutely loved it man um i saw you it was great seeing you
03:27and we were walking through the uh the uh the tunnel right after that you had me hype man so i
03:32appreciate it um i appreciate that statement win though paul big win over the eagles let's
03:37recap this game a little bit my first time seeing you uh since the w i guess what what did the what
03:43did the giants i put on tape that you liked and maybe there's you see that there could be something
03:48there with this team well what do the eagles what do we know about the eagles and how do they win a
03:54super bowl offensive line defensive line right they kick people's butts up front that's what they do
04:01they didn't do that this game you know they did not do that this game they uh you know the giants
04:06offensive line kept jackson dart clean enough uh they kept some running lanes open they did a
04:13really good job i mean andrew thomas he's just you know we know he's a really good player but he came
04:19back um you know we talked to him a little bit on on monday he came back off off his um off his
04:25injury and missing the first two games and the guy just doesn't allow anything you know he it's it's
04:29like there's like no news is good news over there nothing ever happens on his side which is great for
04:33an offensive lineman they played well and then the defensive line you know this wasn't about a
04:38million sacks but this was about containing jalen hurts and i don't know what you guys thought but
04:43i'm watching you know i'm you know david tyree was great right his his pump videos you know his pump
04:48stuff before the game was great and then what happens eagles get the ball saquon barkley uh what
04:54the giants kicked the ball out of bounds right so the eagles get the ball to 40 first carry for
04:59saquon 18 yards that to that point was the longest run of his in the season okay he has not you know
05:05had a great rushing season 18 yards next carry 13 yards and i'm thinking 31 yards two carries this is
05:13going to be a long night for the giants and saquon barkley is going to have a field day his next nine
05:18carries 27 total yards that's the defense not making a million sacks and doing all kinds of crazy things
05:25but playing really good run defense cave on thibodeau was tremendous brian burns was tremendous
05:30dexter lawrence was tremendous um abdul carter had no stats you believe it no stats no tackles no assists
05:37no no pressures no sacks but he set the edge and did his thing so um what i take from this game is
05:45offense and defensive line maybe the giants have something you know growing here dt
05:50yeah i mean i couldn't say much better than paul but what i will say is i think that brian burns is
05:56um one of the more underrated most valuable players in national football league i think
06:02prior to the pickup but he is fully validated quietly the worth of his position he's a he's
06:09well known as this speed rusher not as big in stature but plays far more powerful in a running he is
06:16the consistent force whereas last year of course we talk about this breakout overwhelming dominant
06:21season by dexter lawrence he is the consistent playmaker and now i would give him the the the
06:27anchor of this of this of this defensive blueprint that really gives them life even in moments where
06:35there's a little bit of tension and tug of pull on that defense and everything really came together
06:40consistently around his ability to pressure jalen hurts actually sack the quarterback when the
06:45opportunity was there and miss it so week in and week out he continues to press me not just
06:50impress me further and i think it's it's time for up you know for him to continue to maybe raise a
06:56little bit more voice just as much as he's raising havoc on the field that was my key to victory for
07:01the new york giant football as the defense really played such a solid game i think my biggest takeaway
07:07fellas would be the the cordial flott stepping up as well someone making a play in the defensive
07:13secondary outside of drew phillips you know drew phillips may get called for dpi's but he's also
07:19leading the team in interceptions cordial flott made a heck of a play on that cover zero that blitz in
07:24the goal line where he was able to jump that route and then you know it was a little bad ball by by jalen
07:30hurts but hey you're you that's what you wanted set on the route set on that out route dt and read the eyes
07:36of jalen hurts on that cover zero it was absolutely beautiful now when i go into the locker room on
07:41wednesday paul i'm gonna get on them and be like man you gotta score there baby boy like because
07:46saquon pushed that man out of bounds like he owed him money or something but at the end of the day we
07:51saw the back end be able to make plays paulson adebo kind of held his own a little bit against uh
07:56aj brown aj brown was still able to make some big catches here and there but at the end of the day i think
08:01the back end the secondary kind of took a step devontae smith them not being able to hit that wide
08:09open ball that was kind of a coverage breakdown paul that could have gave a spark a little momentum
08:13like the saints game luckily it didn't work you know for the giants but at the end of the day i
08:19think the secondary um kind of took a step and speaking of taking steps jackson dart is doing it
08:25with his feet i did not know this kid could run the football as well as he did and because of that
08:32he's able to to make plays down the field using his mobility i guess three games in is a small
08:40sample size dt but you know all about uh player progression and and what uh offense or what a
08:47coach wants to get out of these draft picks where is jackson dart at right now in terms of his
08:54progression yeah he he's i think i think from a play perspective he's a he's above schedule but he's
09:00also as advertised so if that's it's positive to look but you're looking at a talent who's energetic
09:05who's extremely more physically tough just as much as he is emotionally and mentally stable um he's
09:12bringing some identity you know like there's been um we hear writers talking about they want to bring
09:17the toughness and the winning attitude back to the new york giants they being him and camp scataboo
09:22so what i love about jackson dart primarily is that he has minimized mistakes while still playing his
09:29game early on and there's only really one flaw to his game he just doesn't have the body of cam
09:34newton in my personal opinion to endure this weekend and week out and he is the linchpin future of the
09:41giants so if we want to mentally tough we just want him to even kill and pump the brakes on the bruising
09:47because he's getting it you can see 220 pounds as a quarterback and 6-2 is not enough meat on the bone
09:54to last a lengthy career but other than that well well like you're talking about i mean the the the
10:01only quarterbacks above him in qbr you can look at the quality we got we got jordan dangles below him
10:06in qbr and he's throwing 68 completion percentage two to one on the touchdowns the ratio and he's making
10:12plays with his feet to ignite the the the new york giant offense to keep the chains moving paul are you
10:19i won't say are you team jackson dart but is he playing above what we kind of thought remember we've
10:25been talking quarterback since october of last year is this kid could this be the future at for the
10:32giants at quarterback you know there was a time thursday night where i just thought to myself i'm
10:38watching you know you know that that for opening sequence right did you see jackson dart put his foot
10:42in the ground and go by zach bond yeah i mean you know zach bond was one of the best defensive
10:49players in the league last year and he tackles everything that comes at him and and he was lost
10:54with jackson dart running at him you know i mean jackson dart went this way put his foot in the ground
10:58and went that way and i'm like that that's pretty impressive um and i thought to myself can you imagine
11:04if they got this right you know can you imagine if the giants got this right with this quarterback i mean
11:10it usually doesn't work you know we don't know if cam ward if the titans got that right we don't know
11:15if anybody gets it right we assume jayden daniels and the commanders got it right you know are we sure
11:20that the bears and caleb williams got it right they might have but usually teams don't get it right
11:26that's why they have to take a lot of bites at the apple to get a quarterback and you know right now if
11:30you asked me did they get it right i would say certainly more yes than no and after three starts
11:36that's pretty good you know we're waiting and brian dable keeps warning us there's going to be
11:41ups there's going to be downs and maybe this week in denver is a big down you know maybe he looks like
11:45a rookie um but he has not looked like a rookie yet and that's really impressive two interceptions
11:51uh in in new orleans were not big deals you know he's thrown one of them's a punt and the other one
11:55he throws it and the receiver you know doesn't finish the route no not a big deal so um but i agree
12:01with david i really agree with david i'm writing about that in the post for wednesday is that i don't
12:07want to be a get off my lawn old man buzz kill kill joy um his legs are going to be a big part of his
12:15game but the no you know what number i don't like guys you know what number i really don't like
12:20three he's had three visits to the medical tent already once in the preseason and twice in the
12:27regular season all three times he got out and came back to the field you can't be going to the
12:32medical tent all that time because you know the fourth or fifth or sixth time they're not going
12:37to let you out you know something's going to you know god forbid be wrong and so um he has to
12:42you know he just has to be more careful with his body and not put himself in harm's way but when we
12:49talked about it after the game with him he kind of laughed and said yeah seems like i'm talking about
12:53this all the time and he looked at us like we were crazy he said look if there's a third down
12:57and i gotta make it i have to make it and that's fine i get it but it's just not every play is a
13:03third down you have to live for another day so i agree with david tremendously is that
13:08we love what you're doing on the field but you got to stay on the field you know and it's more
13:13important for you and i was told i talked to charlie weiss you know the former um you know
13:17college coach a giant coach you know charlie weiss's son is was jackson darts um
13:23um offense coordinator and quarterbacks coach at ole miss and he said it was the same thing at
13:28ole miss and he said you know my son and lane kiffin the ole miss head coach both tried to tell
13:34him and it didn't really sink in you got to protect yourself you got to protect yourself
13:38charlie weiss told me it's up to the players the teammates he said if dexter lawrence goes over to
13:43him and says look number six i love what you're doing but don't take hits and have you off the field
13:49we can't do that you know so i think some of the players you know david mentioned brian burns
13:54some of these guys maybe uh andrew thomas look bro we love you but stay on the field okay stay on
14:01the field and we'll get it the next down and dt the players had a players only meeting you know about a
14:06week week or some change ago and they were talking it wasn't one of those tour player meetings it was
14:11more about you know accountability and kind of cutting the penalties and not killing themselves
14:16do you think that should be a topic of discussion for the next one or the next time guys are out to
14:22dinner or hanging out playing madden together because paul all of us were in the stadium no
14:30disrespect when russell wilson came in there was like an energy just just left metlife stadium people
14:37were born i don't know if it got tipped or it was just thrown into the ground but jackson dart going to
14:42the medical tent could be a reason why the giants get fined by the nfl because brian dable went looking
14:50back there like again like someone owed him money and was telling telling the team doctors to get him
14:55out there should that be on the menu of discussion the next time from a dexter lawrence or from a brian
15:03burns whether it be behind the scenes or just be a players only meeting yeah i think behind the scenes
15:10probably a little more fitting in light of everyone's awareness right so you what you love
15:14what you celebrate is the toughness what you would mourn is the is the lack of availability right and i
15:19think um let's let's be honest the giants were in desperation mode and brian dable manifested the
15:26desperation to the extent where did you know the organization could potentially be fine in light of
15:30his inquiries and i think do i understand it yeah is it is it is it wise or tolerable probably not
15:37but let's let's let's let's bring this thing over i mean the dude i'm gonna date myself here but you
15:42know r.i.p carl weathers action jackson is the is is this is is the movie that we're watching right now
15:49yeah it's a feature movie in 2020 instead of 1987 and you know and if he doesn't if if his if it is his
15:57fellow teammates don't help him understand the value and worth of his presence on his football team
16:02short term and long term it's going to be fraction jackson so that's just i'm just telling you right
16:06now it's it doesn't work out well over time and even smart quarterbacks like the lamar jacksons and
16:12even young russell wilson they were really smart and calculated with their feet and toughness um early
16:20lord jackson early robert griffin we saw with robert griffin jr back in the day you just have to
16:25know who you are and understand what's at stake in this league these are men with mortgages
16:30coming to take you out so uh that's really it i do believe it's more of a behind the scenes thing
16:34and it should be rectified quickly yeah because you want action jackson to be one of those franchise
16:39studio movies like avengers where you get a couple of those movies not blank man when it's like one
16:44and done or ant man where it's like one and done like but i i think one thing that stands out to me
16:51um when it comes to this kid and this is where i how i evaluate quarterbacks is can you make the
16:56receiver room better and we saw jackson dart able to hit different guys get got little jordan humphrey
17:03gets bumped up off the practice squad wandel robinson has a couple catches here and there
17:08no one stood out no one is going to break the bank when it comes to fantasy points or or pro bowl type
17:14performance but he did enough uh wandel robinson we're going to break this down dt because i want
17:19you to tell us what you see on this on this uh on this play how jackson dart was able to use his feet
17:25to get wandel robinson open and wandel be able to show the yak that that he's been able to put on tape
17:32on why they uh traded up for him in the second round and paul you jump into as well dt what are we looking
17:37at here yeah it looks like we actually got quads um we got quite four receivers to the to the side three
17:43wide receivers obviously this is above the x's and o's jackson dart roller right and this is where
17:48wandel robinson makes his money it's really the run after the catch and the physical toughness that
17:53he brings to the game um sure prolific round runner great out the slot but he he is compact um known for
18:00having the the the toughness and the and the uh and the balance of a running back and you know he's just
18:06really tough to pull down he's like a little bullfrog so i mean you you just love that when you start
18:10seeing these young guys bring their talents to the table it does bring energy does bring enthusiasm
18:17and and wandel has been bringing the heat being a reliable target for jackson paul we talked about
18:22how last year wandel averaged what about seven seven or so seven or nine yards per catch we talked
18:29about i mean we talked about it at length from time to time jackson dart has come in and kind of
18:34unlocked wandel's true potential well look don't forget in week two we thought russell wilson
18:42unlocked wandel's potential by throwing the ball you know what i mean that's what wandel's been
18:46waiting for right throw the ball down a field to me and have him catch it over his shoulder which
18:50we had not really seen from wandel look this was a great play by jackson dart i mean that was a great
18:55play you know he's he's kind of twisting turning in a pocket and i thought he's going to take off and
18:59run with the ball you know if you look you know they did watch this pocket the pocket now is broken so
19:06now he's got a road he's got this way he's going left now i think he's going to run now that throw
19:10to wandel robinson is a throw for a first down and that's all it is it's a really good play and he's
19:17like two yards from the stick right so if wandel and and and and and if he gets tackled there which
19:22he should that's a first down and it's a positive play for everybody but he makes it from a positive
19:29play to a game you know not a game winning play but a play that wins games for you um you know it's a
19:34tremendous play by wandel there's no question about it and i have a question for you david because
19:39you know all those years in the locker room right you're a special teams guy you play some wide
19:45receiver right somebody gets hurt someone like me or a bunch of my brethren right many women go over
19:51to david tyree's locker and say um wide receiver room is down you know what i mean it's down this week
19:58you know what i mean how are you guys gonna overcome that and and we're not disrespecting you but
20:04we're saying the the the one or two guys are not there david you're not one of those two guys
20:12so in a way we think that you can't do it this team might be in trouble right so and and and this is
20:20what so let me hear what you say then i'll tell you what wandel said about that but so we're going
20:24to you and saying and you know right you've been around right you know in the back of my mind when i'm
20:29asking you a question you're thinking this guy's saying oh how am i going to go on the field with
20:34my terrible primitive skills and actually compete because i can't do it and you're thinking what
20:41i'm thinking as much as there's two things happen this is my opportunity this is my time to prove
20:46that i'm actually that guy everything prior to that is i've already proved that i'm not that guy
20:51so it's really seizing the moment and the opportunity and if you don't believe that you're that guy you
20:56don't belong in the locker room so as a player you have to you have to not just save face you have to
21:01proclaim it and now what the opportunity presents is the opportunity to prove it and i think in this
21:08short window of you know from elite neighbors injury on there's there's there's something that has been
21:14wanting out of the receiver room that that when we talk about the the power of a high-end number one
21:21we haven't seen these multitude of pieces come in and bring something that's a little bit more stable
21:27little little jordan humphrey flashed a few moments but he missed the moments so you want to see a guy
21:32who comes out of nowhere to be a steady force in the presence victor cruz didn't become victor cruz
21:37overnight but he showed flashes and then the next year it was pop and i think that's what any backup wide
21:45receiver has to prove that you can consistently be a positive impact presence to to diminish the
21:52thought that you're a downgrade in the nfl yeah you know i remember i remember in the super bowl
21:58right you remember the super bowl david you remember super bowl 42 right yeah yeah yeah yeah you were
22:05you were active for that game right yeah okay yeah but you know you you you catch a touchdown pass right
22:10and i'm thinking that is a hell of a story right david tyree caught a touchdown pass in the super
22:15bowl right i mean that is a great story right you caught a touchdown pass in the super bowl i mean
22:20that's if that was the end of it that is a great story go ahead and i think you added to the story i
22:27think you added to the story i get that but i mean no one would have thought that you would have done
22:33that in a super bowl i mean none of us would have i don't know i mean your coaches and eli i'm sure
22:39felt that they believed in you but i don't know if they really thought that david tyree is going to
22:43do this in the in the super bowl so you know maybe maybe you know i'm that's not disrespectful
22:50like you said it it's it's what you've done and and and so you know so when i go say a little
22:55jordan humphrey i don't think you can do it wandale is not that kind of a player you know jalen
22:58hyatt hasn't shown it um you know right opportunity all the all you can ask for is an opportunity right
23:04yeah yeah so i don't have any disagree i think i think the skepticism is earned um i can remember
23:11my third year in the league i actually won the third wire receiver position coming out of training
23:16camp and things just didn't work out well so i think when it comes to the evolution of this this
23:22one moment there actually was an evolution over years of competing up to a place of making quote
23:28unquote starting contributions and i didn't fit the bill things didn't work out well some players
23:33don't materialize for different reasons i.e daniel jones right so at the end of the day we know he
23:38was a starting quarterback in the nfl but is he that guy it's the same thing just at a totally
23:43different level when you're talking about some of these backup receivers when the opportunity presents
23:47itself so you can think about so so not the daniel jones we could we could kind of compare that to
23:54the jaylen hyatt right now he has shown flashes but then at times where they've needed him there have
24:01been some inconsistencies there so i'm gonna ask both of you guys and i'll start with you dt you
24:06could go first uh paul remove your media side of it dt remove the football player side of it think
24:12of the joe shane and a brian dabel what message would you be sending this team or not sending this
24:19team if you don't go out and get a wide receiver who can have at least half of the production of a malik
24:27neighbors are you you're pitting me all right so i think the message that you're sending your team
24:36is there's no way around it you either believe that there's a solution and i don't want to go with
24:42the with the alternative i think they you either believe that this roster is strong enough to sustain
24:48you to the point where you can win eight or nine games um and if you don't make that attempt to go get
24:55that wide receiver yeah and i think that's looking at the optics looking at the past resumes looking at
25:03the uh the the the capitalizing on opportunities with all these players on the roster yeah there's
25:09not some kind of move made for a veteran wide receiver that you that that should be able to get
25:15you 600 yards receiving five six hundred yards something that is a steady force and present seven
25:20maybe 750 850 um yeah it's it's tough to say that we're just tanking it and and we're gonna go what
25:26we got paul we talk about protecting jackson dart and and he's the lifeline or the get out of jail free
25:33card for joe shane and a brian dabel you've seen what he's been able to do in in three games small sample
25:40size but do you go out and get him help to maximize this first year of this rookie quarterback
25:48well i don't think you get anybody who like you mentioned you know somebody who can get
25:53uh half the production of malik neighbors that guy doesn't exist you know it's not you know you
25:56can't you know it just he just doesn't exist now you're talking about a chris olave you're talking
26:01about you know would he be available from the saints um what are you giving up you know it is an
26:06approach is it appropriate for a team that's two and four to start you know making moves to go win
26:11the pent here you know what i mean and in a baseball you know baseball parlance um i think
26:17joe shane looks all the time to see how he can improve the team i don't think he's interested in
26:22giving up a lot of future draft picks at this point um you know i the the jackson dart thing is
26:27interesting because you know i know when they lost malik neighbors you know people thought
26:32darn it we now this this costs you know jackson all these games without malik neighbors to grow
26:39together you know besides the fact that he's the best receiver on the team so um you know do they
26:44look at it and say look with jackson for these last 10 11 games is it going to be difficult for us to
26:50evaluate him properly if he doesn't have a better receiver maybe you know do they have enough in the
26:56room probably not you know darius slayton will come back certainly um it depends you know i mean i i i
27:03just you have to you have to present the trades to me and you know joe shane if he gets
27:08opportunities who's out there how much better does he make your team um how many snaps will
27:14the guy get how long will it take him to incorporate himself into the offense and how much of a difference
27:19will it make i do not think that this is a we need to get a guy to make a big run you know to make a
27:24run and make a playoff run i don't think that's really appropriate with this team right now i don't
27:29think there is a big playoff run coming um they're two and four you know i don't think there's a playoff
27:33run coming now maybe in a month maybe in two weeks there will be you know don't forget they
27:38had this great win at home right great i'm not going to discount anything that they get against
27:43the eagles the next time they come home what what are they they play at denver and at philly so what
27:50are they are they a team on the rise are they have they won one are they uh three and five are they four
27:58and four are they two and six you know i don't know they're not going to be favored in either game
28:02in denver or in philly so i don't think you just say we're giving up a second round pick to get it to
28:07get a receiver right now i just don't know if you do that well that's what i was going to say i was
28:11going to say give up a second round pick for a chris alive or a proven guy because you got malik
28:16neighbors coming back from the acl you're you might need a proven wide receiver the first couple of games
28:22while the the rust knocks off for him um the the darius layton situation i guess you just see what happens
28:29in the off season or see what he does for the rest of this the remainder of this season but
28:35with the defense kind of starting to trend in the right direction i just don't want to waste that
28:40defensive line you're never going to get a defensive line like the 07 defensive line like the 2011
28:46defensive line so it's like if you have what you have on that team right now then just go all the
28:52way in but you know it's just one of those uh i i look at it like get as much as you can out of this
28:57young rookie because what did tom coughlin used to say uh dt that the at the end of the year the
29:04team is going to be a completely different team the following year with a completely different
29:09journey another guy another big name is going to go down in a different position the the following
29:14year so um it's just going to be interesting to see what they come back home with i'm glad you you
29:19raised that paul because you said something about that because they do have two huge games on the
29:24road against two good teams uh dt were you both of you guys really quick because we're almost at
29:29like 30 minutes now really quick finish this off go paul go dt yeah man i mean just this was obviously a
29:38the first collective team performance no you know minimal minimal penalties in relation to where the
29:43giants have been zero turnovers uh you know outside of their uncharacteristic uh game against the
29:49saints this is the football that gives them an opportunity to be competitive in the national
29:54football league we talked about any given sunday um being within one score majority i believe
30:0070 70 plus percent within one score uh games uh throughout the national football league and this
30:07is because they're paid professionals and this is the kind of brand of football that the giants need
30:11need to continue to play these cave on timidows um not just the contract gear but these solid veterans
30:18doing far more than the stats revealed on defense is going to position this chant this team to actually go out
30:22to denver and compete against the denver team that's very much up and down a little bit as well so um
30:28kudos to to the giants for actually shaping this potential identity these young these young stallions
30:33giving some some girl some some growl and maybe a little bit of bite to the ground and i think the giants
30:39have something to work with and have some confidence moving forward into a nice stretch movement paul we'll go
30:45into detail about denver on the preview show but go ahead wrap us up do you want to watch them play
30:53sunday in denver right do you want to watch them the answer is yes right you're you're interested now
30:58right how's jackson dart going to do how's the cam scatterboo going to do you know how are they going to
31:04mix and match with the receivers again there's darius slayton come back um is is this defensive line
31:09you know really rounding into shape here are they going to be able to stop the run like they have for a
31:14couple of weeks now so these are all questions you want answers to you know a couple of weeks ago it
31:19was like i know i was thinking boy i i i really am not all that pumped up to watch the giants play on
31:26sundays because i am not expecting a lot of a lot of positives here you know there's been too many
31:31weeks too many games where it's just there's nothing out there to really watch so they have now done
31:36that six games into the season look the record is what it is i know did you notice brian dabel the
31:41other day said well with the rookie quarterback we're two and one with him as a starter well two
31:47and one is a good record but oh and three before that is still on their resume right but it does feel
31:53in some ways like the season started in week four when jackson dark took over against the chargers so
31:59that's what everyone is being evaluated on to a large extent so what the giants have accomplished so
32:05far through six games is to make you think i want to see them in week seven right i want to see them
32:11i'm intrigued by them by the quarterback by the defense i'm intrigued to see what this team is now
32:18in two weeks time we'll see maybe that intrigue is a little bit tarnished maybe it's heightened i don't
32:23know that but at this point week seven i'm like i am really interested to see what this team does and
32:30that's so much better than what the alternative could have been i love how paul will hype it up
32:35hype it up and then it just drops like a roller coaster and he brings you back to reality which
32:40but hey we we need that absolutely love that um thank you guys for hanging out with us we're going
32:45to see you on thursday for the blue rush preview show breaking down denver and the giants for paul
32:51schwartz david tyree and brendan london check you guys on thursday
