00:00All right, Knicks fans, it's officially summertime in New York, which means it's time to talk about free agency.
00:06Let's be real. The Knicks, they don't exactly have a boatload of cash to splash this offseason.
00:10They do have the taxpayer mid-level exception to use, so smart, targeted moves could make all the difference.
00:17Here are my top three free agents that the Knicks should absolutely chase at the start of free agency.
00:22First up, let's talk about Gershon Yabaselli.
00:25After spending last season with the Sixers, the French forwards showed that he can still make an NBA impact,
00:30blending toughness and versatility on both ends of the floor.
00:34The Dancing Bear, he's truly evolved, providing reliable three-point shooting, hitting 38% from deep last season.
00:40He's exactly the kind of gritty player that New York basketball fans love, with the added bonus of stretching the floor.
00:47Who wouldn't want to see? The Dancing Bear, love that nickname, at MSG.
00:51Next, the Bockers need shooters, shooters, and more shooters.
00:55And Luke Kennard is exactly that guy.
00:58Kennard knocked down 43% from downtown with the Grizzlies last season,
01:02and with spacing always at a premium around Jalen Brunson and Carl Anthony Towns,
01:07Kennard's silky stroke would open lanes and ease some of that offensive pressure.
01:11Plus, he's got playoff experience and should be able to thrive under the pressure here in New York.
01:16Kennard in the Garden? Count me in for that.
01:18Last but definitely not least, let's talk about Gary Harris.
01:22Yes, coming off of a tough season with the Magic, shooting just over 35% from three,
01:27while averaging the fewest minutes, 14.8, and points three per game since his rookie year.
01:33But that's exactly why he could be available on a low-risk, one-year, prove-it minimum deal.
01:39And despite recent struggles and some injury history,
01:42Harris is still a veteran presence, with a defensive upside at 30 years old.
01:46And being a CAA client never hurts when it comes to the Knicks.
01:51All right, Knicks Nation, there you have it.
01:53Yavusele for toughness and shooting.
01:55Kennard to light it up from downtown.
01:57And Harris as a potential bounce-back two-way candidate on a friendly deal.
02:01Now look, none of these moves might break the bank,
02:04but all three could be game-changers at the Garden.
02:07Free A&C is here.
02:08Let's see if the Knicks front office makes these moves happen.
02:11See you now.
