00:00More of the first few quarters is a bigger takeaway.
00:08They were playing great basketball, had us on our heels.
00:12I'm just going to give them a lot of credit.
00:13Obviously, we played well on the fourth in overtime, but we got to come out ready to go.
00:20Honestly, I think we did.
00:21It was the middle, second, third quarter where we let go of the rope.
00:26So that's our biggest takeaway.
00:28Obviously, Landry's shot had a shooter's role, a shooter's bounce.
00:33What were you thinking when that was hitting the rim and hitting the backboard?
00:42Honestly, all of that was kind of a blur.
00:43I don't remember what I was truly thinking at the time, but I just remember that we were fighting back,
00:49putting ourselves in a position to win the game.
00:52I think down the stretch, just making the right plays were in our favor.
00:59There's only been a couple of bigger comebacks than that in the playoffs.
01:03Stuff you like to preach about staying focused and keep fighting, all that stuff.
01:08What does it mean to you to sort of, you know, this is a team achievement that what you guys
01:12did last night?
01:12Yeah, absolutely.
01:17It's great to have a mindset of, you know, just continuing to do the things that has made us a
01:26good team over the course of this year.
01:29Regardless of what the score was, being able to fight back and obviously was great.
01:36I mean, we don't want to be in a position where we're down 22 again, obviously.
01:39But having that mindset definitely, definitely helps.
01:46Jim, you guys, you've been in this position a couple of times where it's a remarkable event.
01:53They come back and you're in the middle of it.
01:56Just wondering, like, do you, after the game, do you consume any social media, any coverage?
02:03Besides reading my articles, do you, like, or do you just shut it down?
02:07What's the process for you after something like that?
02:10Um, I've been, I've been shutting down social media throughout the series.
02:16Obviously, I think I may have posted in between series, but I've been shutting it down, not opening it.
02:26Just focusing on what we need to do as a team, what I need to do individually.
02:31So, um, just do my best to have tunnel vision and stay focused.
02:36Just, Jalen, for you specifically, I think you had 15 in the fourth quarter, you know, 11 straight at one
02:41point, I guess.
02:42Um, you know, what was working so well?
02:44I think, you know, a lot of those buckets game with James Harden guarding, I guess.
02:47What did you like about that matchup and, you know, what was working so well for you?
02:51Um, just being able to go out there and, um, have the trust in my teammates, I think is the
02:56most important thing.
02:57Um, shots started to fall and, um, get back into a rhythm and, um, just, yeah.
03:05Like I said, the second and third quarter, you know, individually as a team, I just, we, we weren't there.
03:11I think we started the game okay after the 10 to four start.
03:15Um, but, uh, I mean, the fourth ball is going in.
03:18I think we had a great momentum.
03:19Our fans kept us in it.
03:21Um, so credit to all of them.
03:24Jalen, you talk about trusting your teammates.
03:26Mikael has two huge threes in crunch time.
03:29Just what's it like for you as someone who has such a close relationship with him to watch those shots
03:33go in for him in that game?
03:34I mean, fantastic.
03:36Um, it's not something, it's not something I truly am thinking about until you said something, but, um, it's great
03:46to have guys like that that you've known for a long time, um, be in those positions with you.
03:52You know, you have a lot of fond memories of going, um, having big games and doing stuff like that,
03:59but, um, it was great.
04:02You know, we're all very thankful of everything that happened in that fourth and overtime, but it's time to move
04:06on.
04:06I mean, he hit that big shot in Portland as well.
04:08I mean, is there, is there something you said about just how he comes up in big moments over there
04:12in the floor?
04:13No, he's, he's done great.
04:15He's done great.
04:16That's, that's, it's, it's who he is when he's, when he's needed to step up for as long as I've
04:20known him, he stepped up.
04:22Jake, you said last night about kind of the message during, it helps itself as habits, forming the right habits
04:30and keeping the faith.
04:32Just kind of, do you take out of, I guess, expensive and expensive lessons or something?
04:39Do you, do you take that game yesterday as, you know, a lesson that you can kind of use going
04:45forward?
04:45Yeah.
04:46Um, I think a lot of people, you know, when they watch film that they're lost,
04:51you learn a lot.
04:52I think you can still learn from a win as well.
04:55Um, obviously you're very thankful that you got the win, but there's clearly things that we need to work on,
05:01uh, to be better and not be in the position we were in.
05:05So, um, it's definitely a lot you can learn, always.
05:11Um, Jalen, yeah, I think Landry played me three minutes before the fourth quarter.
05:16And what is it about him that he just then come in and did, did, did that big shot,
05:21play defense, I mean, just stay ready with him?
05:23Yeah, it's, um, I've talked about this before and, um, he's always been a true professional.
05:29Being able to see it from afar for the first, I guess, six years and then being a team for
05:34the last two.
05:35Um, he's always in a position to stay ready.
05:38He's always working on his craft.
05:39He's always doing the things that he needs to do to make sure his mind is ready, you know, for
05:43games.
05:43And, um, whenever his number's called, he's always ready.
05:48Always.
05:49He's going to do the dirty work.
05:50He's going to come in and make big shots.
05:51That's just who he is.
05:52All right, well, the last one right here.
05:53Jalen, obviously, you guys had the game one loss, you know, last year to Indiana.
05:57I mean, Cleveland just went through something similar now.
05:59I mean, can you kind of picture what their mindset is like going into this game based on your experiences
06:04last year?
06:05Um, I mean, we know that they're going to be ready to go.
06:08Um, being able to steal one at home, you know, after the way they played throughout most of that game,
06:15we know that they're definitely going to be ready to go.
