00:00The Knicks Summer League roster was announced on Monday in last year's draft class first and
00:05second round picks. Pakom Dadie, Tyler Kolick, and Ariel Hookporti are three names that just
00:10immediately jumped out to us because these are all guys that we feel like can have a chance to
00:15fight for some minutes in their second season with the franchise and what Knicks fans hope is
00:20a deeper bench. So here's what to watch from who when things kick off on Friday. And we start with
00:27Pakom. He's only 19 years old, but his ceiling is very high. He got some garbage time in 18 regular
00:34season games, but he did average almost 14 points a game in the G League. And do I expect him to have
00:40a breakout year this season and maybe be the sixth man of the year? No, but you don't use a first
00:46round pick on a teenager if you don't think that he's going to develop into something special.
00:51Expect a better summer league this year than last year. Tyler Kolick is a
00:57kid that I think has a chance to really make a name for himself in this new regime and fight
01:02for some increased minutes and really carve a roll out for himself. In his best game last season,
01:07he had nine assists and a win against Dallas and he's become a fan favorite. I don't want to see
01:13this kid in Westchester this season. I think he can be this team's TJ McConnell. Ariel Hookporti is a
01:20seven footer who you guys know stepped in last season at times due to injury, but he made the best of
01:26his opportunities. I think we would have seen a lot more of them, but he tore his meniscus in his
01:31first start back in February. All eyes are going to be on this kid because before that injury, he was
01:37really giving Tom Thibodeau some good minutes. Eight points, two offensive rebounds and one blocked shot
01:43in 16 minutes. Now there's also James Nagy who was involved in the cat trade and he's coming over
01:49from Barcelona. And if you think about it and you look at the roster, there are a lot of international
01:55Knicks on the summer league squad. Another guy to keep an eye on is Dink Pate. He's a G-League
02:00Ignite player that people think has a lot of upside and potential as well. And he's only 19 years old.
02:07Knicks kick off their summer league action on Friday at 6 p.m. against the Detroit Pistons.
02:12Knicks.
02:17Knicks kick off my staff …
02:25Right?
02:32Knicks dook.
02:35Okay.
