00:19given how many times Sham has done that for you guys,
00:21or was it the pressure of the conference finals
00:23that makes it that much more special?
00:25Um, I don't know, I just think obviously it was special
00:30because, I mean, we were dead in the water kind of, you know,
00:34at a certain point, but we were down 20 or 22, 23, whatever it was.
00:39And, you know, we just kept, you know, chipping away
00:42and kept tapping at the rock.
00:43And, you know, finally, you know, the rock broke.
00:48You got a good view of the Lander shot
00:49and had that shooter's role in the background.
00:52What were you thinking when that shot was going up?
00:55Bouncing all over the place.
00:56Um, same as everybody.
00:59I think I saw something, you know, the crowd reaction
01:02and it hits the rim and it's like, oh,
01:05and then it just kind of rolls in, hey,
01:06and everyone started yelling at that crowd pop.
01:09It was the same way.
01:12You know, you're deflated for, you know, 5, you know, 0.5 seconds
01:16and then, you know, you're hyped, you know, the next moment.
01:20Um, and, you know, it's just a credit to him, you know, him staying ready.
01:26They, they, uh, they, they guard you with Jared Allen, obviously a lot.
01:31They kind of left you open.
01:33You know, in the beginning of the game, you kind of attacked that
01:34and took a lot of threes, you know, I think later in the game,
01:37you kind of tried to drive against it.
01:39I guess what's your mindset with that when you're defended that way?
01:41Um, I don't know, just whatever I feel in the moment.
01:47You know, I shot shots, you know, good shots.
01:50I just, you know, didn't make them.
01:52So, um, I'm working on that, obviously.
01:55Um, I would have liked to make them.
01:57Um, but, uh, you know, I'm going to continue to shoot.
02:01I'm, I'm working incredibly hard on, on my shots.
02:04I'm going to keep shooting that with confidence.
02:05And then, um, you know, if, if they don't go in,
02:09then I've got to find a way to, um, you know, uh, combat that
02:14and whether that's getting guys in, you know, DHOs and, and quick actions,
02:19where the, where the big is, uh, you know, in that, in that drop
02:23and, you know, get them open shots.
02:24Judge, what do you think the response of Kalina is going to be
02:27as far as, you know, they've been embarrassed by getting up 22 points
02:30and how they're going to respond to the game too?
02:32Um, I mean, they're, they're going to come out, um, with, you know,
02:37uh, extreme energy, uh, attention to detail, focus,
02:41a sense of urgency and desperation.
02:44Um, and, and we've got to not match that, but we have to exceed it.
02:49Um, obviously they're, they're looking at it like this,
02:52that was our game that we gave away.
02:53And, you know, they're looking at film of,
02:56uh, if we fix this here or fix this here, you know,
02:59we would have won the game.
03:00And that's what they're going to try to, you know, do tomorrow.
03:02So we've got to make sure we come in, focus,
03:05and have a better start than we did.
03:07Jalen had said that during the game,
03:08when you guys were struggling, um, in the huddle,
03:11I guess he was kind of talking animatedly
03:13during some huddles about habits and stuff.
03:17Um, before he hits those crazy shots in the fourth quarter,
03:21is the captain's stuff of keeping guys together,
03:24keeping guys up, just as important?
03:26Uh, yeah, I mean, I, I feel like, you know,
03:30we all kind of do that.
03:32And that's just kind of like the makeup of our team.
03:34Um, you know, he kind of, he does that a little bit more in huddles.
03:36I think other guys kind of do that, um, you know,
03:40in different, uh, different times during the game,
03:43whether it's in a huddle or just pulling guys to the side
03:45during a dead ball or free throws and stuff like that.
03:47So, um, I mean, you know, that's what you need, uh,
03:51in the playoffs and adverse situations
03:55for guys to talk, to hold each other accountable,
03:58um, kind of to steady the ship.
04:00You mentioned those two guys that McHale hit in crunch time.
04:04Also think about that shot he hit in Portland.
04:05What have you seen from him on the offensive end in crunch time?
04:07It looks like he takes it to, to, to the level that helps you guys.
04:11Yeah, I mean, Kels, uh, been an amazing player,
04:16you know, since high school, college,
04:19and just seeing him, obviously in college,
04:22I don't know, either three years, four years,
04:24I forgot, I think redshirted one and three.
04:26So he was there for four years, I think.
04:29Um, but just seeing the player that he was to start that
04:32and then, um, how he's grown, um,
04:34he really, uh, makes those winning plays,
04:39especially down the stretch when it's winning time,
04:40whether that's, uh, big shots, big stops,
04:43you've seen game-winning blocks, game-winning shots,
04:45game-winning steals.
04:46You've seen him, uh, impact the game
04:49and win the game in a variety of different ways,
04:52especially down the stretch,
04:53and that's something that I've seen,
04:57I'm continuing to see,
04:58and it's, uh, it, it's surreal sometimes.
05:01Are you playing, like, they're going to leave you open again?
05:05Yeah, I mean, it is, um,
05:09you know, probably the same game plan.
05:11You know, for them, it's, we,
05:13this was the game plan that we were up 20 or whatever,
05:16and obviously, and then they, you know,
05:17we had that comeback, so they're probably going to do the same exact thing
05:20and I'm going to, uh, shoot the same exact shots.
05:23Uh, I'm going to, I'm going to shoot them with confidence.
05:25I'm going to, um, play my game, whether,
05:28you know, whatever that is in the moment.
05:30Um, but I don't think their game plan is going to change too much.
05:33Did you mention what you were saying in the last shot?
05:35Josh, you were obviously,
05:36last one was really watching the comeback and everything,
05:38but was it strange or hard not being out there at that time?
05:42Um, yeah, obviously,
05:44that's always difficult watching it on the bench.
05:46Um, obviously, I want to be out there.
05:49I want to help my guys win, but, um,
05:52at the end of the day, for me, I don't have an ego to it.
05:56Like, I, I approach this game, uh, with extreme humility.
06:01Um, you know, and that's just, that's how I approach it, man.
06:06I don't, I don't have an ego.
06:07I've said it last year, the last several years,
06:09I'm here, uh, to serve these guys.
06:13Um, and, you know, that, that's the,
06:15the gift God giving me to go out here and serve these guys,
06:18make sure they're in the best position to be successful.
06:21And I put the success of the team over the success, uh, of myself.
