00:01Illusion, the art of tricking the brain,
00:05distorting the senses, challenging perception.
00:08You can't trust what you see even with your own eyes.
00:12Meet the Master Illusion.
00:30Prepare to be amazed by feats that challenge the very laws of nature.
00:52I'm Dean Payne and you're about to watch Masters of Illusion.
00:58Now, what I love about magic is how it takes the ordinary
01:02and turns it into something extraordinary.
01:04Each trick is a moment of pure wonder,
01:06a reminder that anything is possible.
01:09And tonight, we're bringing you some of the most astonishing illusions you've ever seen.
01:13So, without further...
01:15Darling, darling.
01:17Lucy Darling, ladies and gentlemen, speaking of darling.
01:20Hello.
01:21I don't mean to interrupt, but you know what?
01:23I've been watching you and I think you've acquired some secret, sneaky magic powers.
01:27I really do think you have.
01:29I appreciate that, but I...
01:31I think you can read my...
01:32I think you can see into the future.
01:33I think you have incredible powers.
01:34Oh, okay.
01:35Let's do a little test, yes?
01:36Okay.
01:37Okay, close your eyes.
01:38They're already closed.
01:39Fantastic.
01:40I have a rose.
01:41Don't look.
01:42I have a rose sitting...
01:43A rose?
01:44...somewhere in front of you.
01:45A rose.
01:46You're gonna smell it.
01:47Take a deep breath in.
01:48Dean.
01:49With just your powers of...
01:50Your insightful psychic powers.
01:52What color is that rose?
01:54Red.
01:57Dean, look.
01:58You're right.
01:59Yes.
02:00Look at that.
02:01All right, good.
02:08I have no idea what just happened, but let's get started.
02:11Get ready to witness the magic of tomorrow.
02:16Our next act features a magician who uses the latest technology to create illusions that
02:21are as mesmerizing as they are innovative.
02:24Please give it up for the phenomenal Trigg Watson.
02:35All this amazing technology around us can make us feel separate from each other.
02:40But it can also bring us closer together.
02:43And that is what I would like to explore tonight.
02:46To help, I'd like to invite my friend Chloe Baldwin, fellow tech head.
02:52Hello.
02:57Hey, there you go.
02:58Hello.
03:00Hey.
03:01I just finished testing this new indie game.
03:02I gotta get you on it.
03:03Oh, that sounds great.
03:04Everyone meet Chloe.
03:05Consummate nerd and video game junkie coming to us live from her mom's basement.
03:14Okay.
03:16Look.
03:17First of all, it's video game designer.
03:19And second, her amazing Wi-Fi comes with unlimited snacks.
03:23So...
03:24Ooh.
03:25Thanks.
03:26Appreciate it.
03:27You wizards.
03:28Stay out of my chips.
03:29How's the new game coming along?
03:30Honestly, it could be better.
03:31I'm feeling kind of stuck.
03:32I just still need a villain character.
03:33Ooh, villain character.
03:34Well, look.
03:35We're in L.A.
03:36I bet there's a creative mind in the audience that could help out.
03:38Let's see.
03:39Do we have any gamers in the audience?
03:40Gamers, raise your hands.
03:41A few people.
03:42All right.
03:43How about you right here?
03:44What's your name?
03:45Amanda.
03:46Amanda.
03:47If you were to guess, no judgment.
03:48How many hours a week would you say you spend playing video games?
03:50Oh.
03:51Um...
03:52Ten.
03:53Ten.
03:54Maybe.
03:55Ten.
03:56Maybe.
03:57Ten.
03:58Maybe more?
03:59No.
04:00No.
04:01No.
04:02No.
04:03No.
04:04No.
04:05No.
04:06No.
04:07No.
04:08No.
04:09Ten.
04:10Ten.
04:11Maybe more?
04:12All right.
04:13Fair enough.
04:14Ten.
04:15That's double digits.
04:16I think Amanda's gonna work.
04:17It's not great.
04:18I think that's respectable.
04:19Amanda, I'd like you to take this clipboard, and I want you to take a moment to draw a picture
04:23of giving your best video game villain, all right?
04:27And keep this super simple.
04:28Stick figures are fine.
04:29You know, but try to give some personality, like crazy hair, special skill, anything like
04:33that.
04:34Go ahead.
04:35Make up a villain or like a...
04:36Yeah, make up a villain.
04:37All right.
04:40Oh, Trig, while you're doing that, can I show them my other character demise?
04:43Yeah, go for it.
04:44Okay.
04:45Um, so in my game, you're randomly assigned a character to play.
04:48Are you Slorks, the Barbarian?
04:53Soleil, the Bard?
04:56Or Podius, a strategic elf with a mysterious past?
05:00Ooh.
05:01Mine was Podius.
05:02Ugh, so on brand for you, Trig.
05:05Okay.
05:06Um, let's see.
05:07You there in the front row, kind of to the right with the red shirt and the black hair.
05:12Hi.
05:13Um, blind choice.
05:14Which card will you choose?
05:16Maybe from your left.
05:17One, two, or three.
05:19Two.
05:21Two?
05:22Oh, Slorks, the Barbarian, very nice.
05:26Nice.
05:27Nice.
05:28Amanda, you almost done with your drawing?
05:30Oh, amazing.
05:33Go ahead and recap the marker for me.
05:36Can I see?
05:37Yes.
05:38Ooh, okay.
05:39Nicely done.
05:41I love this.
05:43I love this.
05:44Looks like they're sailing maybe on a cloud.
05:46We have some spiky hair.
05:48Maybe, uh, some, uh, some sharp fire coming out of their hands, perhaps?
05:52Fireballs, yeah.
05:53And those are fireballs.
05:54I love it.
05:55Do we have a name for this villain?
05:56Um, King Fireball.
05:58King Fireballs.
06:02I love it.
06:05King Fireballs.
06:06I love that.
06:07Yeah.
06:08Sailing on a cloud on a boat?
06:09Yeah.
06:10Chloe, I should show you this.
06:13I have something I want to show you.
06:14I've been looking on this.
06:15Oh, okay.
06:17So, I hope you like it.
06:19I, um, I have a magic trick for you.
06:24I'm going to make this chip disappear.
06:31I don't know, Chloe.
06:32I think maybe, maybe stick to video games.
06:35Yeah, they're probably good.
06:37You know, I think this, uh, this, uh, fireball character,
06:40this villain is really worth your consideration.
06:42I know.
06:43I wish I could see it in person.
06:44I know.
06:45Well, maybe you can.
06:46What if I could share this drawing with you despite the distance?
06:51Here, I, I want to hand you this drawing.
06:54Wait, what?
06:55Here you go.
07:05The winner.
07:06The winner.
07:07The winner.
07:08The winner.
07:11Dan, did you get it?
07:13Yeah.
07:14Oh, my gosh.
07:15This is.
07:16Oh, how did you-
07:17Hey!
07:18Look at that.
07:19Oh my gosh, I see this ship.
07:23This makes sense.
07:23It's all coming together for me.
07:25I love it.
07:26You know, I feel like that belongs on...
07:27I think that belongs on your idea wall.
07:30Oh, that's a great idea.
07:31Yes.
07:31Okay, perfect.
07:32I'm going to put it in the highest place of honor.
07:35Oh my gosh.
07:36Look at this king.
07:37Thank you so much.
07:39It's giving you so many ideas.
07:41Oh.
07:46Oh no.
07:47We lost Chloe.
07:49I think she's frozen.
07:52I mean, I guess she got what she needed, right?
07:55She got a unique character on her wall, thanks to Amanda.
07:58Yeah.
08:01And I got what I needed.
08:04And I got what I needed.
08:06I got Chloe as a unique character on mine.
08:10Because this isn't a video call.
08:14It never has been.
08:17It's a poster.
08:19A memory.
08:30Of a moment I will never forget.
08:33Coming up, Andy Gladwin shows us how he plays his favorite card game.
08:46We are going to play a game of Uno, my wife.
08:49And I'm going to try and remember every one of your cards.
08:53And later, Carissa Hendricks uses psychic powers to...
08:57Give that bar!
08:59This is like dreams coming true.
09:01Plus, David Goldrake breaks out of jail in a surprising way.
09:05No one has ever used the actual bars of the prison.
09:08Masters of Illusion is just getting started.
09:11Get ready for a performance by one of the most respected magicians in the world.
09:31His expertise in close-up magic has earned him a place among the greats.
09:36Please, give it up for the phenomenal Andy Gladwin.
09:40I'm here with Sarah and Yasmin from the audience.
09:48And together, we are going to play a game of Uno, my wife.
09:51So, first of all, we need to get the cards shuffled.
09:52Would you shuffle these?
09:53And would you give these a little shuffle for me?
09:55And people often ask me whether I can cheat at games like Uno.
09:59And the truth is, Family Games Night at my house is like one plot twist away from a Jerry Springer episode.
10:04But I try not to cheat all that often.
10:07And Yasmin, you're happy that...
10:09Sarah, you're happy these are shuffled?
10:11And Sarah, I want you to take the cards that you've shuffled to the top, these two cards, and just place them somewhere safe.
10:17You could settle them, put them in a pocket, whatever you like.
10:19And Yasmin, I'd like you to take the rest of these cards and shuffle them into your cards.
10:23This way, when we play Uno, I think it is in the fairest way possible.
10:28Okay? Perfect. Shuffling.
10:30I feel like I've met my match here.
10:32I will take the cards, and I'm going to deal out a round of Uno for each of you.
10:36I'm not going to play this round, but we'll deal...
10:39It's seven cards each, right, in Uno.
10:42So, let's do that.
10:43How many do we have?
10:44One, two, three, four, five, six, and seven cards.
10:47And you're each going to get your cards.
10:50But when I say that I cheat at Uno,
10:52I kind of don't really cheat.
10:55You see, I normally play with my son.
10:57He's nine years old, and often he might accidentally show me his cards.
11:01And when he does that, I will remember his cards and use that information to take him down.
11:06So, that's what we're going to do.
11:08Sarah, you're going to take some cards.
11:10Yasmin, you're going to take some cards, too.
11:12And I want you to know that was a very fair deal from the top,
11:15and they were the cards that you shuffled.
11:16Now, I'm going to have you both spread your cards out.
11:19And in a moment, you're going to show me your cards really quickly.
11:23Like, maybe for one second.
11:25And I'm going to try and remember every one of your cards.
11:29So, Sarah, we're going to start with you.
11:31So, I'm going to count down from three to one.
11:34Show me your cards for like a split second, and I will try and remember them.
11:37Are you ready?
11:38Go.
11:39Okay, I think I got them.
11:42Yasmin, you're next.
11:45Okay, I took a little longer on that one, but I think I have both of your cards.
11:49This is what I'll do.
11:51I will start to name your cards.
11:54And if I get one right, say yes in a big, loud voice, take it out, and hand it to me.
11:58Okay, let's try this.
12:00I have to try and remember those cards in order.
12:03Sarah, you have two fours, am I right?
12:06Yes.
12:07Hand them to me.
12:09Yasmin, you also have four, just one four this time.
12:12Yes.
12:12Fantastic, one four.
12:14Let's go over to you again, Sarah.
12:16Let me try and remember.
12:18You have an Uno reverse card, right?
12:21I do.
12:21You do?
12:22Okay, good.
12:23Good hand.
12:25You also have a, you have like a pick up two card.
12:31Did I see that one?
12:32Yes.
12:32Yes, okay, perfect.
12:33Yasmin, you had a, it was a nine.
12:39Yes.
12:39Okay, good.
12:42Yasmin, let's go for you again.
12:44Let me try and remember the cards.
12:45You have a six as well.
12:48That's what confused me, because I saw a six and a nine.
12:50Okay, good.
12:52How many cards do you have left, Sarah?
12:53Three.
12:54Three, and Yasmin?
12:55Four.
12:55Four.
12:55Okay.
12:58Sarah, we'll do two of yours.
12:59You have a zero and a six.
13:01Did I get them?
13:02Yes, a zero and a six.
13:03That leads you with one.
13:04I'm going to come back to that one.
13:05I can't quite remember.
13:06Yasmin, Yasmin, how many do you have left?
13:09Four.
13:09Four.
13:10You have four.
13:11You have a seven and a two.
13:13Is that right?
13:14Yes.
13:14Yes, okay.
13:16These are the cards that you shuffled.
13:18Let's try.
13:22Sarah, you have just one card left.
13:23Yasmin, you have two.
13:24Sarah, you have a seven.
13:25Is that right?
13:27Yes.
13:28Yes, perfect.
13:29Okay.
13:29You had me worried there for a second.
13:32You have two cards left, Yasmin.
13:33Let me try and get those.
13:37It was a zero?
13:39Oh, no, no, no.
13:39No, wait.
13:40It wasn't a zero.
13:41It was a circle, like a zero, but it had a line.
13:43It's a Miss-A-Go card, right?
13:45A Miss-A-Go card?
13:46Yes, okay.
13:47Hand me the Miss-A-Go card.
13:48But that's just one card left.
13:50Let me try and get this.
13:51The final card, which means I've memorized all 14 cards.
13:54It was the number five.
13:55Show everybody the number five.
14:02Thank you so much.
14:03Would you hold on to this for me?
14:05Because there are two cards that you picked earlier, would you take those cards out for me?
14:09You've been keeping them safe so that I can't see those cards.
14:12What are they this time?
14:12I didn't memorize those, so you can show me.
14:15I can show them.
14:15Sure, why not?
14:16Perfect.
14:17We have a five and a one.
14:19Why don't you hold on to those?
14:20Five and a one.
14:21Actually, in the order they are, it's 15.
14:22So let's go for a one and a five is 15.
14:24Because what I just showed you wasn't cheating at Uno.
14:29It was just memorizing information.
14:31But I'm going to show you now how to actually cheat at Uno.
14:34And to do this, I need to stack the deck.
14:37I'm going to stack the deck for Sarah's randomly selected number 15.
14:41Let's try this.
14:43It takes a shuffle there.
14:47Cuts.
14:47Yeah, I think I've now stacked the deck for your number 15.
14:52That's where this board comes in.
14:55Check this out.
14:55If I've done this right, I should have stacked the cards for your number 15.
14:59You see, this is two plus nine is 11 plus four is 15.
15:06That's not the trick.
15:06I did it again more.
15:07You see, I also went this way as well.
15:08Seven plus five, that's 12.
15:10Plus three is also 15.
15:11I did it again here as well.
15:12Six plus one is seven, which means we just need an eight to make 15.
15:17But wait, thank you.
15:20You're very kind.
15:20But wait, I also, I went more as well.
15:22You see, two plus seven is nine, plus six is 15.
15:25Nine plus five is 14, plus one.
15:28Or four plus eight is 12, plus three is 15.
15:31Every way down and across add up to your randomly selected number, 15.
15:37But wait, there's more.
15:38There's more.
15:38You see, I didn't just go down and across.
15:40This is Masters of Illusion.
15:41We had to do something special.
15:42But I also went diagonally as well.
15:44Six plus four is 10, plus five is 15.
15:47Well, two plus eight plus five is also 15.
15:50The perfect way to cheat Aruna.
15:57Coming out, Carissa Hendricks uses psychic powers to...
16:00Game back all!
16:02This is like dreams coming true.
16:04And later, Draygon creates a unique game show that is sure to blow you away.
16:10Oh, whoa, whoa, he sniffed it.
16:12Didn't use this last piece because you would be walking away with a $100 belt.
16:17Plus, David Goldrake breaks out of jail in a surprising way.
16:22No one has ever used the actual bars of the prison.
16:26Masters of Illusion has so much left up our sleeves.
16:29Stick around.
16:29This performer is a magician with an unmatched blend of charm, wit, and mesmerizing magic.
16:48Known for her charismatic stage presence and sharp sense of humor, she has captivated audiences worldwide.
16:56Please welcome the enchanting and hilarious Carissa Hendricks.
17:00I am so excited to be here on Masters of Illusion on the CW.
17:08And I thought, you know, why not use this as a sneaky opportunity to be able to showcase this new game show idea I have.
17:15I think it would be perfect for the CW, actually.
17:17It's called Name That Card.
17:18And it's specifically for people who are vaguely psychic, or at least willing to claim that they're vaguely psychic.
17:24They can use their powers to win fun cash and prizes.
17:27And it'd be so fun because the whole audience would shout, Name That Card, every time.
17:31Let's practice.
17:31Let's try to do it.
17:32Ready?
17:32So I'll go like this, and you guys go, Name That Card.
17:34Ready?
17:35Name That Card!
17:36This is like dreams coming true.
17:38I'm so excited.
17:39Okay, does anyone here think that they're vaguely psychic?
17:42Who you are?
17:43What's your name?
17:43Nicolette.
17:44Nicolette.
17:45Ooh, that's beautiful.
17:46It makes me think of like, you know, trying to quit smoking with a special kind of gum.
17:49It's super fun.
17:52Nicolette, darling, you are in fact psychic, yes?
17:55Yes.
17:55What is the most psychic thing you've ever done?
17:58Um, I can like guess the stuff my sister is thinking about.
18:03Ooh, you can guess what your sister is thinking about.
18:05So you are vaguely psychic, so you are going to win this.
18:07You are a perfect first contestant on...
18:10Name That Card!
18:11You guys are so good at this.
18:13I'm totally getting this violent.
18:14Okay, so here's the plan.
18:15We are going to play, but this is not the official pilot.
18:18We're going to have to play for my money, so we're only playing for $30.
18:21Yeah, don't be too disappointed.
18:23Keep in mind, I'm Canadian.
18:24For me, with the exchange rate, I could buy a house in Canada for this.
18:27Okay?
18:28Inside here, we have one single playing card,
18:30and it's going to be your job in a second to guess what that playing card is.
18:33One in 52 chance.
18:34But you don't have to worry about chance because you are psychic, right?
18:37Yes.
18:38So, you guess this card.
18:39You're going to win $30 on our brand new game show.
18:43Name That Card!
18:44Nicolette, you name that card.
18:45That card is the...
18:47Three of Hearts.
18:47Three of Hearts.
18:49No, I'm so sorry.
18:51You have lost the first round, but like any game show,
18:54we don't do just one round, so you get another chance.
18:56I am going to take out that $20 because you didn't get it on your first try.
18:59I'm so sorry.
19:01I know, it's really disappointing.
19:02She should have tried harder.
19:03Hold on.
19:05You do still get the chance to win $10,
19:07enough to buy yourself a nice bottle of maple syrup at the duty-free,
19:10so don't worry about it.
19:12Same playing card in there, one in 52 chance, okay?
19:15Clear your mind.
19:16Are you ready for...
19:17Name That Card!
19:19That card is the...
19:20King of Diamonds.
19:21No, I'm so sorry.
19:24Round two, you also lost, so no more money.
19:28But there is a third round.
19:29You get the opportunity to try to win your pride back.
19:33Because on television, you have said that you are a mind reader,
19:38and then you have gotten this wrong twice in a row, right?
19:41In front of all these lovely people and the hundreds of thousands of people at home.
19:44So we need to give you the opportunity to try to win your pride back.
19:48So, one playing card still inside there.
19:52No money.
19:53But it's definitely worth more to win your pride.
19:56So I want you to take your second, clear your mind,
19:59really think about it.
20:00Think about the way you can read your sister's mind.
20:03All right.
20:05What card is inside that envelope?
20:07Eight of hearts.
20:08Why the eight of hearts?
20:12Born March 8th.
20:13You were born March 8th.
20:14That's interesting.
20:15So you're trying to do something that's kind of connected to your sisters?
20:18That's super fun.
20:19All right.
20:19So just in case nobody knows, this is what the eight of hearts looks like.
20:21That is the card you mean, yes?
20:22Yes.
20:23So if this matches that eight of hearts in there,
20:25then you're going to be, you know, at least get to go home and hold your head up high.
20:29Am I right?
20:31Let's see how you did.
20:32Inside here, underneath that $5 bill,
20:35I have one single playing card.
20:40You said eight of hearts.
20:42You did very well in the first contestant of a name for that card.
20:46All right.
20:47Now you can call yourself Psychic, NCW.
20:57You can call me for the pilot anytime.
20:59Coming up, Dragon creates a unique game show that is sure to blow you away.
21:09Oh, whoa, whoa.
21:10He sniffed it.
21:12Didn't choose this last piece because you would be walking away with a $100 bill.
21:16And later, Baxanth's beer makes coins appear out of an air.
21:20But I can go back in time.
21:24And stick around.
21:26David Goldrake breaks out of jail in a surprising way.
21:29No one has ever used the actual bars of a prison.
21:32All coming up next on Masters of Illusions.
21:36Prepare to be astonished by a magician
21:52who combines creativity and precision
21:55to deliver unforgettable illusions.
21:58He's an award-winning performer
21:59who has taken the world of close-up magic by storm.
22:03Captivating audiences everywhere, including right here.
22:06Let's give a warm welcome to the extraordinary Dragon.
22:14Hey, guys.
22:15I just wanted to let you know
22:17that I was planning a bit of a game show for all of you.
22:20It was going to be crazy.
22:22There were going to be pyrotechnics, confetti.
22:25Dean Cain was going to be riding a mechanical bull.
22:27It was going to be amazing.
22:28But sadly, I flew here,
22:31and I packed all of that stuff in my same suitcase as my shampoo.
22:34So the airport security confiscated all of it.
22:38But even though all of that stuff got taken from me,
22:41I have improvised a new game.
22:43And this game is going to involve
22:45my watch,
22:48my shoe,
22:49and, of course,
22:50my glasses.
22:52They're all that I have on me.
22:53And pretty much,
22:54one of you guys are going to play the contestant,
22:56and the contestant is going to get to decide
22:58where these things get to go.
22:59They can either go into my left hand,
23:03into my right hand,
23:04or we can set it down onto the table over here.
23:07Okay?
23:07So we need to choose who our contestant is going to be.
23:10Actually, here, right up in the front,
23:11what's your name?
23:12Brett.
23:13Brett, you are our contestant.
23:15And, Brett, no pressure,
23:16but you get to decide where my watch gets to go.
23:19Now, obviously, it's on my left hand right now,
23:21but you can either move it to my right hand,
23:23or you can set it down on the table.
23:25It's your life.
23:26The world is your oyster.
23:27What do you want to do?
23:29I'll put it on the table.
23:30You sure?
23:31Yes.
23:32Okay.
23:33Brett, I'm counting on you, Brett.
23:36We'll leave that right there.
23:38Fingers crossed.
23:39The next thing we're going to try
23:41is where my shoe gets to go.
23:44It can either go into my left hand or my right hand.
23:46Just remember, wherever it goes,
23:48my glasses go into the other hand.
23:51You want it in the right hand,
23:51or were you just saying right like correct?
23:53Right isn't correct.
23:56What are you in your left hand?
23:57Okay, okay.
23:58Again, are you sure?
23:59So that means that my glasses
24:02must go into my right hand, yeah?
24:04Yes.
24:04Okay, Brett, do you mind joining me on stage,
24:06and can everyone make him feel welcome?
24:08They're coming up here, Brett.
24:11Now, you're probably thinking to yourself,
24:14Dragan, how do I win this game?
24:16Which is a valid point,
24:18because this doesn't really make any sense.
24:20Well, I'm going to have you hold on to my glasses
24:22in your right hand.
24:24Can you hold your...
24:25Yeah, there we go.
24:26Can you hold your left hand out?
24:27We'll put the shoe right there.
24:28I promise you, it's mildly clean.
24:31And we'll leave my watch right...
24:32Oh, whoa, whoa.
24:33Sniffed it.
24:39In order to win the game,
24:41basically, the winning results
24:43are in that envelope that's been there
24:44since the very beginning.
24:45Okay.
24:47So they're in the...
24:48In the envelope?
24:49Yes.
24:50Inside of this envelope
24:52are the winning results.
24:54Here, I'll open it up,
24:55and I want you to be the eyes of the audience
24:57and confirm that everything I'm reading
24:59genuinely is on this piece of paper.
25:02You can see it, yeah.
25:03It says,
25:04The way to win this game is simple.
25:06Be sure to place my watch on the table,
25:09place my shoe in my left hand,
25:13and don't forget to leave my glasses
25:17in my right hand.
25:19If you follow these simple steps,
25:21let's you win a huge round of applause.
25:27Thank you, thank you.
25:29Well, I don't want you to leave the stage empty-handed,
25:32and I sort of need my shoe and my glasses back,
25:34so I did actually bring a prize
25:36just in case you won.
25:38Okay.
25:38Now, I was going to get this big trophy,
25:41give it to you by airport security.
25:43Right, right.
25:43So, instead,
25:46I offer you
25:47a pack of gum.
25:51That's all I have to get.
25:52In fact, more specifically,
25:54one single piece of gum.
25:55That's all I can afford to give you.
25:58So, Brad,
25:59take any piece of gum you want,
26:00but it's your choice.
26:01You don't need to take the top one.
26:02You can take the middle or the bottom.
26:03Just take one,
26:04and I promise it's not like a shock piece of gum.
26:07It's gum.
26:08Okay.
26:09Yeah, yeah.
26:10It's good to know.
26:10Oh.
26:13Oh, that one specifically.
26:18Yeah.
26:18All right, all right.
26:19I like that one.
26:19That is a good one,
26:20and I'm actually really happy you chose that one.
26:22I'm pretty sure he chose the correct one.
26:24Can you open that up
26:26and show everyone what you chose?
26:28All right.
26:31It is one piece of gum.
26:33Gum.
26:35That is what I told you
26:36you were going to win, right?
26:38Oh, there we go.
26:39That's a different show.
26:39That's the after show.
26:41But I did tell you
26:42you were going to win a piece of gum, right?
26:44And I'm glad that you didn't choose any of these
26:46because if you had chosen this one,
26:50you would have gotten a $1 bell.
26:56And I know that's not what you wanted.
26:57You wanted the gum.
26:58Right, right.
26:59Had you chosen this one,
27:01you would have been even more disappointed
27:03because that right there
27:05is a $20 bell.
27:07And again,
27:08you really wanted that gum.
27:10So it's a really good thing
27:11that you didn't choose
27:12this last piece right here
27:14because if you did,
27:15you would be walking away
27:16with a $100 bell.
27:18And I know that's not what you want,
27:19so you can enjoy your stick of gum.
27:20Everyone give it up for Brett
27:21and his gum.
27:23Thank you so much.
27:24Hey, jeez,
27:25you owe me a soda.
27:27Thank you guys so much.
27:29Coming up,
27:30Maxence Beer
27:31makes coins appear
27:32at a thin air.
27:34And coming up
27:41to close out our show,
27:43David Goldrake
27:43breaks out of jail
27:45in a surprising way.
27:46No one has ever used
27:48the actual bars of a prison.
27:49Masters of Illusion
27:50will be right back.
28:04Tonight's performer
28:07comes all the way
28:08from France
28:09and is known
28:10for his innovative approach
28:11to magic,
28:12combining mentalism
28:13and sleight of hand
28:14in a way
28:14that leaves audiences
28:15speechless.
28:17Please welcome
28:17the brilliant
28:18Maxence Beer.
28:21Thank you, thank you.
28:23Hello, America.
28:24Hello, my name is Max
28:25and I'm from France.
28:27I know,
28:28that's so crazy.
28:29Hello, what's your name?
28:30Bernadine.
28:31Why not?
28:32I call you Pauline.
28:33It's better.
28:35JJ.
28:35Ah, JJ is more easier.
28:37So, Pauline, JJ,
28:38welcome to the stage.
28:40I have glasses
28:41and you can to check
28:43the glasses.
28:43It's completely normal glasses
28:45and I bring with me
28:46my coin purse
28:47and inside my coin purse
28:49I have beautiful...
28:51Oh, it's completely empty.
28:54Could you put two fingers
28:54like that?
28:55Put inside?
28:57Welcoming friends, brother.
29:00Four coins,
29:01you can to check the coin.
29:02It's completely silver coin.
29:05You can to check it,
29:05of course.
29:07Did you like it?
29:08But it's mine.
29:12Great jobs.
29:13Oh,
29:14do you know,
29:15do you know what is it?
29:16I do it again just for you.
29:21Do you know what is it?
29:23It's a drop card.
29:24The gravity low
29:25by Isaac Newton.
29:26It's so cool.
29:27But I can go back in time.
29:28Oh my God,
29:32did you take the coin?
29:33Let's go back on the table.
29:34Okay?
29:37So good, yes?
29:39Okay, four coins,
29:40two hands,
29:40and I will do very story for you.
29:42How many coins do you see, actually?
29:45Correct.
29:46You're best.
29:47Listen to me.
29:48In few seconds,
29:48I will put the coin
29:49inside the glasses.
29:50Why I put it inside the glasses?
29:51Because you can see the coin,
29:52clearly,
29:53or you have it in the glasses,
29:54but you can hear,
29:55yes?
29:56So count for me.
29:57One.
29:58Good job.
29:58You are so smart, Pauline.
30:00Yes.
30:00Great.
30:01Great.
30:04Could you put your hand
30:04on the top of the glasses now?
30:07And now watch my magic.
30:08In few seconds,
30:09I will grab one coin like that.
30:12Oh, look.
30:14This is amazing.
30:15This is invisible coin now.
30:17And this is air magic.
30:19You see?
30:21No, you don't see it, actually.
30:22Because
30:23if I pretend
30:25to check my hand,
30:27Oh.
30:28you can see the coin arrive.
30:34And
30:35Pauline,
30:37how many coins should be
30:38in the glasses?
30:39Right?
30:39Are you sure?
30:41No, I think there's three.
30:46One,
30:46two,
30:47and three.
30:53three.
30:53You are amazing.
30:57JJ,
30:57any question about that?
30:59Yeah,
31:00how'd you levitate the coin?
31:01Huh?
31:01I will do it again for you.
31:04I can't tell you,
31:05but after,
31:05I need to kill you.
31:06All right.
31:06one,
31:07great.
31:12two,
31:14three.
31:17You are amazing.
31:22One,
31:24three.
31:29No.
31:30This is the wings of the car.
31:43And that's it.
31:56I made a joke.
31:57Let me show you my favorite part of this trick.
32:01I call it the French penetration.
32:05Of the glasses, of course. Relax.
32:08Could you check the bottom? It's completely solid.
32:13Yes.
32:15I put the first, second, the third coin here and only one.
32:21Better like that.
32:22Oh, maybe it's better if I grab two here and two here. It's better.
32:28I will put two coins inside the glasses.
32:30The first one and the second one.
32:32And now watch.
32:33Woo!
32:35Woo!
32:37Woo!
32:39Woo!
32:41In silence.
32:43And normally...
32:45One coin path through the glasses.
32:49One coin path through the glasses.
33:00The last but not the least.
33:03Pauline, give me your hands.
33:05Two hands?
33:07I read in your line of your hand, you will be rich very soon.
33:11I hope so.
33:12But not on this life.
33:15This is the first coin.
33:17This is the second one.
33:18This is the third.
33:19And this is the last coin.
33:22Question, Pauline.
33:23How many coins do you see in your hands?
33:25Four.
33:26Correct.
33:27Jesus Christ.
33:29If you second, listen to me.
33:30You will grab only the first coin, the top one, like that, with two fingers.
33:34You will grab it.
33:35You will put it on my hand and you close your hand very fast like that.
33:38I'm going to steal another coin.
33:41Grab the top one.
33:42You close your hand very fast.
33:44You're amazing.
33:47You ready?
33:48Now, turn your wrist like that, and mix it.
33:52Did you feel anything?
33:54Stop it. It's so strange now.
33:57But if you do correctly the move, normally, the coin...
34:05Go home.
34:07Wait.
34:08How many coins should be in your hand again?
34:11In mine?
34:12Yes.
34:13Three.
34:14Are you sure?
34:15No.
34:16Open your hands, and you watch inside.
34:21So, you have again one, two, three, and four coins.
34:29That's crazy, yes?
34:31I know, I know, I know.
34:33Thank you, stop.
34:38Stop, I'm not thinking.
34:41That was a question.
34:42Of course.
34:43If all of that was just an imagination...
34:47...maybe the coin...
34:49...never exists.
34:55...and maybe it didn't even move...
34:57...from the beginning.
35:00Because it's the beginning of the act.
35:02You put two fingers inside.
35:04It was completely empty.
35:05Yeah.
35:15We have again.
35:17One, two, three, and four.
35:21Come on, America!
35:22And...
35:27This is the trick...
35:29...of the four coins.
35:31But the secret is on this coin.
35:32This coin, it's a little bit bigger, you see?
35:37It's a little bit bigger.
35:39If you want to see, I can show you.
35:41Close your mouth, it's completely empty.
35:43Thank you so much.
35:45I hope you enjoy my show.
35:46My name is Max Alvier.
35:48And it's some noise for my two people!
35:54Coming up, to close out our show,
35:56David Goldrake breaks out of jail
35:58in a surprising way that will leave you amazed.
36:01No one has ever used the actual bars in the prison.
36:06The Masters of Illusion has saved the best for last.
36:17This performer is not just a magician,
36:23but a true craftsman of illusion,
36:26dedicated to perfecting every detail of his art.
36:30His commitment to creating breathtaking magic
36:32has earned him international acclaim
36:35and a reputation as one of the world's finest illusionists.
36:39Please welcome the incredible David Goldrake.
36:47Thank you so much.
36:49Now, if you've ever read a book
36:51or watched a movie about prison escapes,
36:53you may have noticed that the people who escape
36:55always use either ventilation shafts,
36:58explosives, or secret tunnels.
37:01But no one has ever used the actual bars of a prison.
37:04I've been very fortunate to acquire some spare bars
37:07from an old prison years ago,
37:09and I had my shop built this tiny window
37:11to accommodate the bars.
37:13I'm going to need a few guests from the audience
37:14to examine those bars.
37:15We're going to start with you, sir.
37:17Please examine the bar.
37:18Make sure it's solid.
37:19Make sure there's no way you can bend it.
37:21There is no way you can do anything with the bar.
37:23Make sure it's solid.
37:25Make sure it is exactly what it is.
37:28This is one for you.
37:29This is one for you.
37:31And then final bar right here for...
37:35Sir, what about you?
37:36This is for you.
37:37Excellent.
37:38Thank you so much.
37:40Now, as you can see, the bars will actually fit very tightly
37:43inside this custom-built frame.
37:46I'm going to ask you, sir, to confirm that the bars are actually solid.
37:50Is there any way you can bend it?
37:53Wolverine would be proud.
37:55Give it to me, please.
37:56Thank you so much.
37:58How about our second bar? Solid?
38:00Is there any way you can bend it?
38:01All good?
38:05Thank you so much.
38:06I'll grab this from you as well.
38:08And then, in fact, I'll grab the other one in a second.
38:11We're going to put this where it belongs as well.
38:14Right here, bar number three.
38:17Solid, real metal.
38:20Excellent.
38:22And for the final one, we have our fourth gentleman right there, sir.
38:27May I actually ask you to join me on stage?
38:29Nice to meet you.
38:34What is your name?
38:36Akeem, nice to meet you.
38:37Akeem, in fact, you're going to hold the bar yourself
38:39and you're going to insert it inside the top opening
38:42to show everyone that it is an actual, legit, solid metal bar
38:46that fits inside this frame.
38:48Akeem, please come with me.
38:50Stand right here behind the frame.
38:53Could you please show everyone?
38:54Is everything solid?
38:55Is there any way that you can move those bars?
38:59Akeem, I also have another object that I would like you to examine.
39:02Right here.
39:06A solid bowling ball.
39:07Akeem, join me right here.
39:09Hold on to the ball.
39:10Is it real?
