00:00Well, you know, it's going to be out there playing football tonight.
00:02Yeah, it's Minnesota and it's Los Angeles.
00:04That's the Chargers and the Vikings tonight.
00:06Carson Wentz will be under center going up against Herbert.
00:08This line, Joe, all throughout the weeks, threes, three and a half,
00:11primarily now sitting at three and a half, the total at 44 and a half.
00:14Keep an eye on this one.
00:16The offensive lines are really banged up on both sides.
00:19Darisal is also, Darisal and O'Neal, the left tackle and the right tackle,
00:23are questionable tonight for the Minnesota Vikings.
00:25The football players are tough.
00:26If they get out there, they'll play.
00:28All looking to try to come back here as one of the tackles for the Chargers.
00:31They've been depleted all season long,
00:33but it could come down to who's more valuable on the offensive line tonight
00:37to keep those pass rushes at bay.
00:39It's an interesting line, three and a half, Joe, and a total of 44 and a half.
00:42Where are we leaning tonight?
00:43Minnesota bounce back?
00:44Chargers bounce back?
00:45What gives here?
00:47Yeah, it's interesting that the hook is available there, Donnie, in some spots.
00:53But, I mean, the Chargers are not playing well.
00:55And, you know, they can't run the ball.
00:57They had no choice but to play catch-up last week.
01:00So, while Justin Herbert threw, I think, what, 50 times or so?
01:04He still threw 420 yards.
01:05But what choice did he have there?
01:08They've lost three out of their last four games.
01:11I mean, this is going – and they almost lost to the Dolphins, let's not forget, Donnie.
01:16That should have been a loss, too, as well.
01:18So, they got to figure some things out here.
01:20But, quite honestly, it just feels like the Vikings are looking for excuses not to play J.J. McCarthy.
01:26And if that is the case, Donnie, Carson Wentz is the guy that you're choosing to go to who always puts the ball up, you know, in trouble, in harm's way.
01:35I don't know.
01:36I think the defense of the Chargers has every reason to hurry up and want to play this game the way they got embarrassed last week by the Colts.
01:45And also understand this.
01:46Brian Flores loves to bring pressure.
01:48He's got to be licking his chops at that offensive line, which also means boom or bust plays, which you have to love.
01:54Big sacks, big turnovers, big plays downfield.
01:58Something to keep an eye on in this one.
01:59But, again, the two quarterbacks will be teeing it up tonight, Carson Wentz and also Justin Herbert.
02:03Passing props, 255.5 for Justin Herbert, 230.5 for Carson Wentz.
02:08If you like them to throw two touchdown passes, it's quite different here on the odds market.
02:12Over two touchdowns for Justin Herbert.
02:14Minus 172.
02:16Carson Wentz to throw two, plus 102.
02:19It's hard to say who you're trusting, right?
02:20Because you're not going to say, well, I always trust Carson Wentz over the other player.
02:23The question is, what are we getting out of Herbert?
02:25Because we can see some of the best deep throws that you've seen in football.
02:27And also, what the heck kind of throw was that?
02:29Like multiple interceptions, which included red zone interceptions last week as they played the Colts.
02:34Well, the problem, Donnie, in trusting either, both these defenses looked horrific on Sunday.
02:42You've got to be kidding.
02:43Jalen Hurts couldn't complete a pass more than six yards there.
02:47And all of a sudden, he goes away 19-23, 326, and three touchdowns.
02:51Nope.
02:52The perfect passer rating.
02:54And then you've got Khalil Mack comes back.
02:57You have a Chargers defense that is completely, finally, everybody is healthy.
03:01And they get absolutely embarrassed by Danny Dimes.
03:04So, on a short week, I don't trust either defense.
03:08I think both quarterbacks are going to have a ton of success.
03:12I am definitely looking at the over here.
03:13Yeah, not really looking at the running game so much.
03:16But also understand this.
03:17Aaron Jones came off the pup list, eligible to practice this week.
03:20Limited practices in the short week on a Thursday night.
03:23I'll see if he gets back in.
03:24The reason we say that, if you go to most sports books right now, if I'm just looking at FanDuel,
03:27there's no rushing props listed for Minnesota.
03:29You know Mason's going to be there, waiting to see if Aaron Jones is active tonight,
03:32maybe to give him a little bit more boost in that backfield at this point.
03:35And if we are talking about touchdown props in this game, which we all love,
03:39how about the favorite right now, who's actually not a favorite at plus 115, technically,
03:43Vidal, the running back here for the Chargers.
03:45Then Jordan Mason running back here for the Minnesota Vikings, plus 120.
03:48Justin Jefferson, Quentin Johnston, Keenan Allen comes behind him.
03:52If we're expecting touchdown passes, that's the way I would look.
03:54I think Mason has a good chance to score on the ground,
03:56but no way, shape, or form of taking any of the Chargers running backs, Joe,
03:59to score a rushing touchdown.
04:00All air shots for me with Herbert and the boys.
04:03They are the worst red zone offense in the NFL, Donnie.
04:08And they have been now for over a month.
04:10Why?
04:10Because they have no running game.
04:12And Herbert had a costly interception in the red zone again last week against Indy,
04:17which might have, you know, turned that game around, but they didn't.
04:21So you can't trust any of the Chargers guys in the red zone
04:24because oftentimes they're kicking field goals.
04:26Well, what about Jordan Addison,
04:28who seems to be Carson Wentz's favorite target here at this point?
04:32So, you know, I mean, he's, what, almost 95 yards per game
04:36since returning from the suspension.
04:37And it's only been with Carson Wentz.
04:40He's a guy I would focus on in the prop market here tonight.
04:43How about this tweet?
04:45The Vikings haven't won a road game on Thursday night in 47 years.
04:51It's usually, I was going to say, home team or no team here, Joe.
04:53That's an incredible statistic.
04:55May the force be with you.
04:56Minnesota Vikings.
04:57More hot topics coming up next right here on the early line.
05:00But also, let's keep on flipping down the pages here, Joe.
05:04You take a look at the NFL.
05:05Yeah, I wonder if anybody in the NFL is getting brought down on some charges this weekend.
05:09One of those games that we're looking at, the Bears and the Ravens.
05:12And why are we looking at this game?
05:14Lamar Jackson.
05:15Maybe he's coming back.
05:16Maybe he's not.
05:17But back to the practice field after a multi-week layoff due to a hamstring injury.
05:21This isn't a team that we're looking at right on the Ravens.
05:22Like, hey, man, 6-1 cruising.
05:24This team is a win in the worst way.
05:28And maybe Lamar can provide that, but just by being out there.
05:32Yes, but what version of Lamar do you get?
05:34I mean, we've seen in some spots this number start to come down to six here.
05:38But it hasn't with the idea of him being able to play and being announced that anything short of being announced the starter.
05:45And it does look like if he's practicing, obviously, he's going to be the starter.
05:48We thought, Donnie, once it was made official or we got to that point where he was on the practice field and he looks like he's good to go,
05:56that we'd start to see the money come in on Baltimore and this thing would go up to seven, maybe even more.
06:01But that's not the case.
06:02And it's shocking that we might actually see this thing go the other way.
06:07But I think it makes sense, right?
06:08Because you have no idea what you're going to get from him, number one.
06:11And the biggest issue for them is how are you going to stop exactly the running game now of the Chicago Bears,
06:19who all of a sudden coming out of the break, Donnie, are rushing for, you know,
06:24Swiss rushing for over 100 yards every game now.
06:27So I still don't think it's a great matchup for Baltimore, whether Lamar plays or he doesn't.
06:32Exactly.
06:33They've been terrible with Lamar Jackson as well.
06:35Like Lamar Jackson doesn't play defense.
06:37You're like, hey, Baltimore scored 30 points.
06:38Yeah, they'll give up 35.
06:39An interesting one to watch here.
06:41And again, always make sure you're checking those practice reports.
06:44Thursday, another day to practice, Joe.
06:45Friday, another day to practice.
06:46And then the determination will be made if he is going to play on Sunday.
06:49And you will see that line move one way or another if the decision is yes and or no.
06:55Let's get to another game at 1 o'clock on Sunday afternoon from Philadelphia.
06:58This line only moved two.
06:59Sevens for most of the week, Joe.
07:00Now up to seven and a half.
07:01The game we're talking about, the New York Giants and the Philadelphia Eagles.
07:04About two weeks ago, you saw the Giants hammer the Eagles on a Thursday night up at MetLife.
07:09Then the Philadelphia Eagles went on the road and picked up a victory.
07:11And then the Giants went on the road and had a 19-point lead in the fourth quarter and blew that to the Denver Broncos.
07:17Dart versus Hurts, 43 and a half as a total here.
07:20I still have the same conclusion as yesterday.
07:22The Giants, I don't know how many games are going to win the rest of the way, but they look like they're going to be competitive.
07:26Divisional game, I'll take the seven and a half.
07:28I will.
07:29Yeah, I mean, listen, I'm not a big believer in the whole revenge thing here a couple of weeks apart, but I am a big believer in that, well, we might get some points in this one.
07:40Because I have no reason to think that all of a sudden both these defenses are going to be locked out with this.
07:47I mean, the Giants dropped 34 on the Eagles a couple of weeks ago, and the Eagles had 17.
07:51But it looks like they have found something here against Minnesota.
07:56And, yeah, there's some issues there in the fourth quarter with that New York Giants defense.
08:01I think the over might be the best play in this game, Donnie, if we're being honest.
08:05And that's where I'm looking.
08:07Yeah, you know what?
08:08It's going to be a fun game because the one thing the Giants won't be able to defend all that well are the Eagles' wide receivers.
08:13And then also you take a look on the opposite side.
08:15The Eagles just having trouble defending a mobile quarterback.
08:18And you saw that in game number one.
08:19That should be a fun game to watch it play out.
08:21And also, it would have been a lot more interesting if the Giants had won against the Denver Broncos.
08:24Oh, yeah.
08:25Because then you're just letting me say, like, hey, can the Giants knock the Eagles off again?
08:28And can they actually win that division?
08:30Again, getting ahead of ourselves here.
08:31But it should be a pretty good game in Philly.
08:33425 start, Dallas and Denver.
08:35We just talked about the game.
08:36Denver, an unbelievable comeback.
08:3833 points scored in the fourth quarter and a one-point victory over the New York Giants and the Dallas Cowboys.
08:43That offense looks like it's the best right now in the NFL.
08:46Look at that total.
08:4850.5 up from 47.5.
08:49And a total, or excuse me, a side, Joe, it opened up 4.5 down to 3.5 now.
08:55The boys getting a little bit of points there on the road.
08:58Yeah, I got to tell you, this is an interesting one because the look ahead, Donnie, was much higher than this.
09:04And then after, congratulations on the fourth quarter comeback and set all records.
09:09But it didn't do you any favors in the marketplace because folks are looking for a reason to fade Denver in this spot here.
09:17And I don't blame them.
09:18I mean, quite honestly, they have been the most inconsistent team that there is.
09:22The one thing that we know for a fact, the most consistent thing we know, is that this Cowboy offense with Dak Prescott, they are humming, Donnie.
09:30And they are putting up a ton of points here.
09:34So, I think this is a fascinating game.
09:36But with the hook being out there, it seems a little strange still, right?
09:40Will this get to 3, Donnie, ever?
09:42You know what do people love to bet Dallas?
09:46You know they're going to see CeeDee Lamb and Dak Prescott and that tax that the Yankees usually have in baseball feels like it's on Dallas.
09:52I would say, you know what?
09:53I would say this line goes to 3 on Sunday.
09:56We'll see where that lines up.
09:57We'll talk about it again tomorrow on a football Friday.
09:59Sunday night football.
10:01We already had a video up earlier in the show talking about Aaron Rodgers.
10:03Like, hey, man, you know what?
10:04This ain't that big of a deal.
10:05I'm not going back to Green Bay.
10:06Still home.
10:07And, you know, I don't wish nothing ill will in Green Bay.
10:09Yes, you do, Aaron.
10:10And you're also an underdog here, getting three points at home for the Steelers.
10:14That's usually where Mike Tomlin likes it here.
10:1545 and a half total.
10:17Should be entertaining.
10:18All eyes on Pittsburgh Sunday night football, Joe.
10:22Yeah.
10:23And this is a sneaky shootout here, Donnie, as far as I'm concerned here.
10:28Because, I mean, let's face it.
10:29We just saw this vaunted Green Bay defense.
10:32I mean, Dallas dropped 40 on them.
10:35We saw Arizona had no problem, you know, getting all the yardage that they knew.
10:40They needed there and an opportunity to actually upend them at home with Jacoby Brissett at quarterback.
10:46We just saw Flacco, right, be able to put some points on the board.
10:51So, I think this is a sneaky shootout.
10:53I think Aaron Rodgers and Pittsburgh will have no problem scoring points.
10:59And at the same time, there's nothing I've seen about this Pittsburgh defense that tells me all of a sudden they're going to shuck this offense down here of Green Bay.
11:08I like a shootout in this one, Donnie, for sure.
11:11Yeah, we'll see.
11:11And also keep in mind, Christian Watson, you know, been practiced for a couple weeks back off the pup list here from that knee injury last year.
11:17He could add some influence into that football game.
11:19Monday Night Football, Kansas City is rolling on offense.
11:23And you take a look at Washington, not going to be rolling with their best quarterback here because Marcus Mariota will be the starter.
11:28This line goes from 9.5 to 12.5 at most outlets right now and a total of 46.5.
11:34Looks like an easy victory on deck here for Kansas City.
11:36Or is it?
11:37And can the commanders stay within that number?
11:41No, I don't.
11:42Listen, we could probably get some points.
11:44But, you know, forget about Kansas City's offense, Donnie.
11:47Have you seen what the Kansas City defense is starting to do now?
11:50They, too, are starting to put it together here.
11:53So it could be a very long afternoon for Washington.
11:56That's for sure.
11:57Yeah, long afternoon.
11:58Might as well be an afternoon out there, right?
12:00They'll be playing all night, looking to get back on that plane, licking their wounds at this point.
12:04Let's take you out in the streets here to Los Angeles tonight.
12:07Minnesota is going to be on the road with Carson Wentz, a quarterback, taking on the Chargers and Justin Herbert.
12:12It's an interesting game, Cam.
12:1344.5, let's call it, on the total.
12:15And a slight favorite to the Chargers.
12:17Both offensive lines coming in banged up.
12:19But both have some weaponry on the outside.
12:21I always love dome games.
12:22Because the one thing we don't have to worry about, Cam, is where is the wind blowing?
12:25Is it rainy?
12:25Is it 32 degrees?
12:26Clean slate on a Thursday.
12:28These two guys could sling it.
12:29I could see an over tonight.
12:30How are you playing this game between the two?
12:32I agree, Donnie.
12:33I'm looking at this total going, like, why is it 47.5 or more?
12:36Like, the Chargers defense is deplorable.
12:38Like, you guys saw what happened again.
12:40I guess I know the Colts have been doing it to everybody.
12:42But, God, and their offense is fine.
12:44Their offensive line is banged up.
12:46And let's give Prince Harry, a.k.a. Carson Wentz, a lot of credit with Minnesota.
12:49You know, the guy's taking hits and coming back for more.
12:51I'm looking at the pooch right now.
12:53We were on the Bengals last week.
12:55I don't know if Minnesota can do it outright.
12:57Like, 3.5, is that hook big?
12:59It could be.
13:0044.5 seems a little bit light, Donnie.
13:02I'm with you.
13:03I got to tell you, I like Minnesota.
13:05In a teaser situation, definitely.
13:07I expect this game to be a one-possession game, and right now I'm looking at the dog.
13:11Like, are we getting tricked with this total?
13:13Like, they could have made it three points higher, and I'd still look at the over.
13:17I'd have crazy, right?
13:19Cam, I'm just so not impressed with either defense right now.
13:24And it feels like the number's a little light, right?
13:27Doesn't it feel like both of these teams can get some points on the board here?
13:32Like, I don't understand the total here, but this is not the same old, same old Minnesota defense for sure.
13:38God, no.
13:38No, no.
13:39And they get shredded.
13:40You're right, Donnie.
13:40I'm just very surprised that the bookmakers put up that number.
13:44I guess it's only due to Thursday night football and short week, but I don't know.
13:47I could see sacks, turnovers, all sorts of crazy things in this game, right?
13:51So I think both teams could score.
13:53Guys, I know you don't do same-game teasers for people that are degenerates and play the whole board.
13:57But, like, I don't know how you take a teaser with the dog and go over there with Minnesota in the over.
14:01That's something I would definitely look at as well.
14:03So I'm with you.
14:04I like the dog, and I don't like points in this game, and I think the total's just a little bit too low.
14:08Our Thursdays with the Prime Minister Radio on the early line.
14:11Who doesn't love that?
14:12We absolutely love that.
14:13Donnie Wrightside and Joe Ranieri.
14:15And a lot of information was handed out today.
14:17So much action in two hours, which included some action we maybe didn't think we would get to,
14:21which means players and coaches getting arrested.
14:24Maybe two different stings involved by the FBI.
14:26But 10 a.m. Eastern, we will have a press conference here announcing what is actually going on in these gambling stings.
14:32Keep your ears glued and your eyes glued to the TV network that's known as the Sports Grid Network.
14:37But now is the time, at the end of the show, we like to reach out to the public and ask them a question and get their feedback.
14:43Here's Fade the Public.
14:44Thursday night football people live from Los Angeles, SoFi Stadium.
14:56And if you're not following the Sports Grid Network on social media, you're doing it wrong, people.
15:00Head over to X.
15:01Go find at Sports Grid and hit the subscribe button there.
15:05Follow along.
15:05Why?
15:06Because the question we asked today was an easy one.
15:08That's the way we like to keep it.
15:09What is your best bet for tonight's Thursday night football matchup between the Vikings and the Chargers?
15:15Four informational spots given for you that you can answer back yes on.
15:19Over, under, Vikings, or Chargers?
15:21And it looks like right now, Joe, the favorite is the Chargers.
15:24Minus three and a half by the public.
15:26Roughly 34% of the votes going that direction, followed by the Vikings at 29%, then the under at 11.8%, and the over at 25%.
15:35Pretty balanced and even, but the Chargers getting the lead dog votes right now, Joe.
15:40Yeah, no, and I get it.
15:43Listen, I mean, that was horrific what they looked like.
15:46They didn't have to travel, though, so they've been able to lick their wounds at home.
15:49And it's a tough spot here, scheduling-wise, for Minnesota, who also did, by the way, didn't look exactly great.
15:57But I'm going to stick with the over, Donnie.
15:58I think that's the play here tonight because both these defenses are lacking, that is for sure.
16:05And both offenses, quite honestly, they got quarterbacks that may not be great right now, but they can get the ball out and get it in the hands of playmakers.
16:13So I think points are coming here tonight.
16:15I'm going to take a side in this one.
16:16Not necessarily.
16:17How about a total?
16:18Nope, not necessarily.
16:19Charlie, how about a player that you might not be paying attention to?
16:21You love Lab McConkie.
16:22You love Keenan Allen.
16:23You love Quentin Johnson out there.
16:25You love Justin Herbert.
16:26Neither one of those players are on my card tonight.
16:28Why?
16:28Because it's a Rondé Gadsden.
16:30Donnie, who is that?
16:31The young tight end there for the Los Angeles Chargers.
16:34Take a look at what he's done, Joe, in the past two games.
16:37Seven targets in both, excuse me, eight targets in one game, nine targets in the other, seven catches in both.
16:43How about against those Miami Dolphins in a 29-27 victory?
16:4668 yards.
16:47How about against the Indianapolis Colts, Joe?
16:50Seven catches for $1.64 and a touchdown.
16:53O'Rondé Gadsden II, over 42.5 receiving yards tonight.
16:57Let's go and get it covered for a 2-0 price point, Joe.
17:01How are we feeling?
17:02I feel good.
17:03Get it done, baby.
17:04Let's get it done.
17:05Cash that ticket.
17:06Let's go and get it covered.
17:10Let's go.
