00:00When you have success, it's usually fun, whether it's a player, a fan, and or an owner.
00:04Like, you want to walk into that room like, yeah, I'm an Eagles fan.
00:07You see these two rings we got the past 10 years?
00:09That's how you get down to business.
00:10But when you're a Jets fan, you can't walk into the room and say, hey, man, I'm a Jets fan.
00:16Like, that's the response you get.
00:17Or, hey, that's Woody Johnson over there, the owner of the Jets.
00:20Oh, my God.
00:21Sell the team, Woody!
00:23The reason I bring this up here, Joe, let me ask you a quick question.
00:26How many wins do the Jets have this year?
00:29None.
00:30Exactly.
00:31They got no wins here.
00:32So here's Woody Johnson in front of a microphone saying, like, hey, Woody, why don't you have
00:36zero wins?
00:37What's the reasoning behind it?
00:38He'll tell you right now.
00:39What's your confidence level in Aaron to turn it around?
00:43Well, it looks like he's turning around parts of it.
00:46You know, it's hard when you have a quarterback with, you know, with a rating that we've got,
00:53you know.
00:53I mean, he has the ability, but something just is not jiving.
00:57But if you look at any head coach or the quarterback like that, you're going to see similar results
01:02if you go across the league.
01:04You have to play consistently with, you know, at that position.
01:09And that's what we're going to try to do for the remainder of the season.
01:14So what gives you hope, then?
01:17I just think defense special teams are doing better.
01:20Defense is pretty good.
01:22And if we could just complete a pass, it would look good.
01:28You know, you've got to complete some pass.
01:29You've got to convince them that you can do something.
01:32Otherwise, it's hard to have, you know, have a game that you can win.
01:38Do you still believe in the decisions that you made for putting who...
01:41I do. I think Aaron, I do believe in Aaron.
01:44He's a, I've known Aaron for, you know, since 1996.
01:48I was a fan.
01:49I've always been a fan of him.
01:50I see the way he handles the room.
01:53If I were a player, he would, I would respond to him.
01:57Because he's the real deal.
01:59He had no BS.
02:00There's no second agendas.
02:02What you're doing is the truth.
02:04And a lot of times, players don't get the truth.
02:06They get a lot of gobbledygook.
02:09Now, if Woody Johnson is backing you and that's who you picked,
02:13it's probably going to be a failed resistance.
02:14There's one thing to be said, Joe.
02:15But hey, you know what, man?
02:16I was real poor as a kid.
02:17I grew up, pulled up my bootstraps here.
02:19I'm a billionaire now.
02:20I understand how this stuff works.
02:22But when, you know, three of your great, great grandfathers or whatever,
02:26Robert Wood Johnson, James Wood Johnson, Edward Mean Johnson,
02:29founded Johnson & Johnson, and you get that in your lap and all that money,
02:32go out and buy an organization, and you've been an absolutely horrendous owner.
02:37But as I say this time and time again, Joe, it does not matter.
02:40If you're an NFL owner, you can have an 0-17,
02:42be the laughingstock of the nation in your respective sport,
02:45and still you print money and your organization gains wealth year over year over year.
02:51It's a shame for Jets fans here.
02:52But at least I hear him speaking honestly.
02:54But at the same time, he's not talking as a fan.
02:56He owns the team.
02:58He's the one who makes the decisions, whether you like it or not.
03:00Who's my head coach?
03:01Who's my general manager?
03:02Hey, by the way, we're going to spend a lot of money on this quarterback.
03:04Awesome.
03:05Justin Fields is your guy.
03:06Sign him.
03:06Now to sit back like, yeah, he stinks.
03:08No, no.
03:08You stink as an owner.
03:10How about that, Joe?
03:10Well, I don't think there's any doubt about that.
03:14I think we all know that.
03:16But, I mean, listen, they're not firing Aaron Glenn.
03:19They're not going to fire him now.
03:20They're not going to fire him at the end of the season.
03:22I mean, you've got to give him and the general manager a chance
03:25to get the kinds of guys that they envision in building that locker room up, right?
03:31And we all kind of knew, like, we all said it, Donnie, Jet fan or not,
03:35when they, you know, they were like, well, Fields is our quarterback.
03:37We were like, all right, maybe, we'll see.
03:41But I think, obviously, here we are seven weeks without a win.
03:45We haven't scored a touchdown, by the way, I don't think,
03:47since that blowout loss to the Cowboys in week five.
03:51So, we just can't seem to find the end zone here, Donnie.
03:55And we won't, whether it's Tyrod or it's Justin Fields.
03:59And quite honestly, this is all about next year with the Jets.
04:03He knows it.
04:04The owner knows it, and everybody else knows it at this point as well.
