Here's today's bulletin, with news of a funding crisis which has hit Ashgate Hospice and how a Chesterfield business is preparing to reopen two years after being devastated by flooding

00:03A funding crisis is forcing Ashgate Hospice to slash their beds from a potential 21 to just 6,
00:10making 52 of its workforce at risk of redundancy.
00:14The much-loved hospice is urging the community to act now for Ashgate
00:18as it announces plans to drastically reduce inpatient beds,
00:22cut staffing numbers and scale back many of its care and support services
00:26as it is forced to make £2.6 million of saving due to what it describes as insufficient NHS funding.
00:33Ashgate was rated outstanding by the Care Quality Commission earlier this year
00:37with 100% ratings in 4 out of 5 categories, giving it one of the highest scores in the country.
00:43It provides specialist palliative and end-of-life care to around 2,600 patients
00:48and the people important to them annually.
00:51But despite this outstanding quality of care,
00:53months of negotiations and the support of MPs across Derbyshire,
00:57Ashgate has been unsuccessful in its bid to get the local NHS to increase its funding settlement.
01:03Their Act Now for Ashgate campaign is calling on members of the public
01:06to contact Derby and Derbyshire Integrated Care Board
01:09and call for fair and sustainable funding for end-of-life care in North Derbyshire.
01:17Chesterfield's Olympia House is reopening
01:19two years after the devastating effects of Storm Babette's flooding.
01:23Now rebranded as an Emporium,
01:25the Staple Vintage Centre has been stripped back to brick and concrete
01:28in anticipation of potential future flooding events.
01:32Reopening on November 10th,
01:34the centre has 40 traders so far
01:36and has rebranded from Antiques to the Emporium.
01:39Items on sale include a range of vintage and new clothing
01:42as well as crafts and collectibles.
01:44But you might also find newly made chopping boards
01:46or repurposed trays, newly made jewellery and homewares
01:50alongside vinyl records.
