00:00On the key play of the game, which is the stumble and bumble from Trevor Lawrence, where the right guard steps on his foot, he falls down.
00:08And this is crazy to me, because he falls down, kind of gets up, falls down again, does get up.
00:16You're talking like tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick.
00:20Nobody from the Kansas City Chiefs, a very aggressive defense in spotlights like that, ever come anywhere near him.
00:27And he waltzes and winds up diving into the end zone to give the Jaguars the go-ahead and the final score of the game to go to 4-1 and beat the Kansas City Chiefs.
00:37But a couple things out of that.
00:39Number one, Chris Jones took the playoff.
00:41You can go back and watch video now.
00:43He doesn't move.
00:44He makes no attempt at any point to go get Trevor Lawrence.
00:48Now, Trevor Lawrence did a good job last night running the football, but Trevor Lawrence is not Lamar Jackson.
00:54You can go get Trevor Lawrence, and Chris Jones made a business decision last night not to go after the quarterback on the key play of the game.
01:04That's on him, number one.
01:05Number two, I know Chiefs fans are not going to like this, because the disparity in penalties called, I believe it was 12-4.
01:1412 penalties called against Kansas City, and only four penalties called against Jacksonville.
01:19But that's not the real story when it comes to penalties, because the NFL and the officiating crew tried their best to hand-deliver the game to the Kansas City Chiefs.
01:30On the Kelsey touchdown, there's blatant pick interference right at the goal line that the announcers even talked about, and it's not called.
01:41And Kelsey gets the touchdown there.
01:43All right, and then later on in the game, when the Jaguars have the lead on the ball in the fourth quarter, and Trevor Lawrence throws what appears to be a horrendous interception,
01:54and the Chiefs then go like three, four plays later, and they get the touchdown and take the lead late in the fourth quarter.
02:00Again, one of the Jacksonville Jaguar wide receivers was knocked on his ass before the play, before the pass got to him,
02:09and it was blatant interference right in the middle of the field, and that was uncalled.
02:15So while, yes, the Chiefs got called for three times as many penalties than the Jaguars did,
02:21the reality is that the refs still tried to give Kansas City the opportunity to win the game on both the Kelsey touchdown,
02:31which is a blatant pick, cannot be argued against that,
02:34and then the non-call on the interference on the Trevor Lawrence interception.
02:38And that, it got me to thinking, when you look back on the dynasty that the Chiefs were,
02:45and obviously a loss last night going to two and three, 0-3 now in one-score games,
02:50look, history cannot be rewritten, and I appreciate that, and I understand that,
02:55but you cannot find a Super Bowl championship win or winning season for Kansas City
03:01where the referees didn't play a role in it.
03:04And now that the referees are not just giving the game to Kansas City
03:09and calling egregious penalties against the opposition,
03:13we have now officially leveled the playing field.
03:17And in leveling the playing field, we now recognize,
03:21while there's still a very good football team,
03:24and Patrick Holmes is still the best quarterback for my money in the NFL,
03:28they're human again, they're beatable again.
