00:00The story as we've now been told from the police and I guess the DA out in Indy

00:04is that Mark was drinking at a bar on Friday night into Saturday

00:08you know in town again to do the Colts game

00:11was running wind sprints because who doesn't do that

00:14when you visit Indianapolis in like an alleyway between a bar he was drinking

00:19at and some other establishments

00:21a 69 year old guy minding his own business

00:25drove what amounts like a box truck into the alleyway

00:28and the guy was there for his job which was exchanging out

00:31dirty oil for new oil for like fry laters

00:33you know wings and nachos that kind of stuff right

00:35and Mark didn't like the fact that the guy was blocking his way of

00:40running wind sprints now the story as it goes now is

00:43Mark physically attacked the guy at least allegedly that's what the story is though

00:47threw him to the ground the guy feared for his life

00:50he tried to pepper spray Mark came through the pepper spray

00:53kept attacking him and then the guy pulled out a knife again

00:57in self-defense and stabbed Mark two or three times

01:01causing him obviously grave injury

01:04he was then rushed to the hospital

01:06he is now in stable condition

01:08he has been released from the hospital right to the local police department

01:12where he paid a $300 cash bond to get out

01:15but the breaking part of the story is

01:17they have now upgraded the charges against Mark Sanchez to a felony

01:23yeah this is from Ryan Mears he's the Marion County prosecutor

01:27it's a felony charge of battery resulting in serious bodily injury

01:32yeah we've seen a picture of the gentleman

01:34again this is essentially a 70 year old man

01:37so just be ready for it it's a little

01:39yeah it's a little graphic he's laid up in the hospital

01:42he has what amounts to three or four inch uh you know cut or um

01:45like he got um a gash gash of some kind that went through his cheek cut his tongue

01:51so I assume that was with the knife that he had I don't know that that to be factual

01:54um but all signs point to this being uh

01:57allegedly a drunk Mark Sanchez attacking somebody

02:01unprovoked for absolutely no reason

02:04but it was interesting because when the story first came out

02:07the original story was that Mark had been robbed

02:11there was a burglary

02:12and it was like 12 30 at night

02:14you know into you know into the early morning hours of Saturday

02:17and on the surface believable story

02:20you know it's one o'clock in the morning essentially

02:22guys head on the street

02:23and someone tried to mug him

02:25that's what I thought

02:26a famous enough guy you think he has money

02:28and by the way we just saw this happen in London

02:30with uh the backup quarterback

02:32I'm forgetting um

02:33which year

02:34oh yeah I forget yeah I know what you're talking about

02:36yeah I think it was the Steelers backup quarterback

02:38he had gotten he got mugged at London last week

02:41whatever it was

02:42so what's interesting is that

02:44like all the Fox colleagues

02:46and I get where they're coming from

02:47you don't know any more of the story than we do

02:50but Skylar Thompson got mugged in London right

02:52apparently no complaint was filed though

02:54he just wanted to go away

02:55yeah and he wasn't hurt

02:56and it was in Ireland

02:57he just had some of his stuff stolen I guess

02:58yeah

02:58but of course the initial reaction is

03:00thoughts and prayers from Mark Sanchez

03:02with no thought at all

03:04to the other guy in the squabble

03:07right

03:07to this moment

03:08and maybe I've missed it if I have my apologies

03:10I've not seen a single person come out and go

03:12thoughts and prayers

03:14to the 69 year old man

03:16who is brutally attacked by an alleged drunk guy

03:19in an alleyway

03:20and has a huge gash in his face

03:23that went through his cheek

03:24into his tongue

03:25and feared for his life

03:26right

03:27I've not seen a single person

03:29in the media put out that tweet

03:31right

03:31no

03:31we everyone jumped to conclusions

03:33that Mark had been robbed

03:34or mugged

03:35or held up

03:36and the reality is

03:37according to police

03:38and the DA out there

03:39Mark was the

03:40the

03:41Mark is

03:42the aggressor here

03:44and that's why

03:45they've now upgraded

03:46the charges

03:47from misdemeanor

03:48to felony

03:49he could do

03:50one to six years

03:51in prison

03:52for the

03:53violent physical attack

03:55on a 69 year old man

03:57minding his own business

03:58and it's it's it reminds me all the time

04:01we all have

04:03me included

04:04you included

04:04in certain stages

04:05this desire to run to Twitter

04:08or Instagram

04:09or whatever you know

04:10social media platform you use

04:12and get your name out there

04:14you want people to know

04:16that you send your regards

04:18right

04:19and when you do that online

04:21most of the time

04:23and myself included

04:24we're doing it for ourselves

04:26we want people to know

04:28that we're sensitive

04:30and caring

04:30and we want the person

04:32in the story

04:33to know

04:34that we reached out

04:35that we care so much

04:37and you have our thoughts

04:38and prayers

04:39most of those posts

04:40are about us

04:41we want other people

04:43to see

04:44that we're sensitive

04:45and caring

04:45but I haven't seen

04:47a single person

04:47in the media

04:48come out and say

04:50thoughts and prayers

04:52to the 69 year old man

04:54who is brutally attacked

04:55right

04:56now look

04:56I want Mark

04:57to get better also

04:58I'm glad the injuries

05:00weren't life threatening

05:01I want him to live

05:02to see another day

05:03it's not like

05:04I would take back

05:05my thoughts and prayers

05:06for someone I know

05:07to recover

05:08from multiple stab wounds

05:13on the innocent guy
