00:00Steph Diggs was becoming far more active in the offense a week ago.
00:04When you were sitting here a week ago, we were talking about
00:06they've got to get him in the slot more, they've got to play him there more,
00:09and they did, and it yielded results.
00:11Well, it actually felt like they, on a percentage basis,
00:13they actually played him a little less in the slot.
00:15And to me, that's a good sign.
00:16It means maybe you think he's feeling a little bit better physically,
00:20and so you feel better about playing him on the outside where he was
00:23when he picked up that big fourth and three conversion at the end of the game.
00:26And he doesn't look like he's necessarily got the electricity, so to speak,
00:33to get by that corner and just beat him down the field.
00:35But he can throw on the brakes if he's not beating him and understand,
00:39okay, my quarterback's going to see it the same way,
00:41and peel off and make a big completion and explosive gain
00:44on that back shoulder throw.
00:46The one thing that I did find interesting in watching this pass game back,
00:52so many targets, so many yards, and that's great for them.
00:54They need somebody who's dependable, reliable like that.
00:57There were a couple plays where I felt like May might have turned down
01:01other maybe even better options to throw maybe a tougher ball to Stephon Diggs.
01:09And when I see that, like potential touchdown when they're down and close
01:12to Travion Henderson, he just sort of hits Diggs on a little hitch route.
01:17On one of the deep overs, it looked like going the other way,
01:20he maybe had a potential bigger gain to Pop Douglas crossing the other field
01:26the other way where there were fewer defenders.
01:28Who do you trust now, though?
01:29So who do you trust?
01:30That to me is number one.
01:31Big go.
01:31And number two, I do go back to, because we're hearing it come out of Drake May's mouth,
01:36and he's really not even being prompted, I got to get him the ball more.
01:40I got to get him the ball more.
01:41Right?
01:42Each of the last two weeks going into that Panthers game.
01:44And we didn't, I don't think, hear it from him this week necessarily.
01:50But that's just something that I wonder about.
01:52If there, what you don't want, Beatle, is you don't, and it worked out great.
01:56Like the two throws that I'm talking about, he completed the pass to Stephon Diggs.
02:00So I'm not saying this is a bad thing.
02:04But you would hate for him to pass up better options because he feels like he's got
02:09to get the ball to his number one guy.
02:14He's got to get the ball to his number one guy.
