CAIT is a model, fashion blogger and student who lives in the UK. She was born with achondroplasia, a rare form of dwarfism, and is just 3ft 8" tall. She has been with Guy, a Marine engineer and a motorbike racer, for just over a year. Guy initially approached her last year after coming across her modelling profile. He instantly thought she was "beautiful" and "wanted to try to date her". He sent her a friend request on Facebook, and she eventually saw it nine weeks later and messaged him. They went on a first date, and their romance blossomed from there. However, some of Cait's friends and family questioned Guy's intentions. "There is this narrative that people like me could not get a guy like Guy," Cait explained. Cait's parents even researched his Facebook ahead of meeting him for the first time. "My parents were very unsure," Cait said. "It's easy to pretend to be something that you are not [online]," However, after meeting Guy for the first time their minds were changed: "We had a very good, positive feeling after you walked into our house," Jacqueline said.

00:00I have a chondroplasia, which is a form of dwarfism.
00:03Any time I'm out, I will be looking at people's phones to see if they're pointing towards me.
00:08I come across her modelling profile and I'm like, wow, she's beautiful.
00:11I like the look of that. I want to try and date her.
00:13There you are, beautiful. Okay, just throw yourself around a little bit.
00:17It's the first time I've ever seen a little person, especially a beautiful little person.
00:21And people will follow you and they will stalk you and they will try and touch you.
00:24It's almost like quite suffocating and horrendous, really.
00:27When you first like said I met somebody online on Facebook, what did you really, really think?
00:33Worried.
00:33I think it's easy to pretend you're something you're not.
00:41I've been a content creator for about four or five years now.
00:44And we thought moving over to like **** would help bring in an income.
00:49And it's not like I do the typical nudity or anything like that.
00:54It's just what I do on Instagram, but people pay for it.
00:57Hi, I'm Kate.
00:58I'm 22 and I'm a model, fashion blogger and student.
01:02I have a contraplasia, which is a form of dwarfism.
01:06There is a lot of people who **** with **** with dwarfism, obviously, as it's quite different.
01:12And the 2% of my following that will comment and I've got to be so careful to not interact
01:18with it.
01:18But at the same time, if I do not, I'll lose a following on ****.
01:25Guy is actually the one who suggested it.
01:27You ready, Kate?
01:29Yeah, just come in.
01:31I'm Guy, I'm 32.
01:32I'm a marine engineer, but I'm also a motorcycle racer.
01:35Let me know if it shows too much or not.
01:37You are a beautiful small girl.
01:39And it was like, you are quite different and you've got a unique selling point there.
01:42Alright?
01:43Yeah, that's fine.
01:44And there's potential there.
01:45Ready?
01:46Yep.
01:46We looked at **** and we saw like how much people were earning.
01:50And we thought, why not?
01:51Right, there you are.
01:52Beautiful.
01:52Okay, just throw yourself around a little bit.
01:59That was it.
02:00Yeah.
02:02Oh, they're good.
02:03Yeah?
02:03Yeah, I like those.
02:04I think that's one of my favourite shoots that we've done so far actually.
02:07Like the confidence is there.
02:09Yeah, you're like a beautiful lady there.
02:11I like it that you see yourself as a proper lady.
02:14You know, you're like dressing up.
02:15You know, when you're like dressing up.
02:16Everyone knows what they like, so I do prefer smaller women.
02:19I don't think I get one as small as Kate.
02:21You know, maybe 4 foot 6 or something.
02:23But yeah.
02:23I like to do things by extremes.
02:26So this was Kate's first **** tube.
02:29Which is not as easy to do as it sounds.
02:30Trying to find a basketball course at the Fitzer is very difficult.
02:33But I worked out that you could get old lady pop socks.
02:36Which just happened to be the right size for Kate's feet.
02:39So when I found that I was like, yes, we've got something here.
02:42There's always sort of a way through everything as a little person.
02:47Guy, how did you first meet Kate?
02:49So I was working in the south of France in a shipyard for a yacht.
02:53And I was in my bunk just scrolling through social media.
02:56And I came across her modelling profile.
02:59I was like, wow, she's beautiful.
03:01I like the look of that.
03:02I want to try and date her.
03:04And I sent you a friend request.
03:05And you accept the request eventually after like nine weeks.
03:09I thought it would be silly not to message him.
03:12He's very attractive.
03:13His profile picture at the time was him on a yacht.
03:17No top on.
03:18I looked at his profile four times to know he had a good history.
03:20And so I was like, yeah, why not?
03:21We went on a date in Bristol.
03:25And I stayed over overnight.
03:27So then it sort of just spiraled out of control from there.
03:30Some of my friends were worried that Guy was like exploiting me in some way or another.
03:35No way, he seems too good to be true.
03:37This photo on this yacht, they didn't believe me at all.
03:40We were quite concerned that he was like a Tinder swindler on Facebook.
03:44And because you're disabled, I think that some of them thought that they were better than you.
03:47Yeah.
03:48And it's not, you are a beautiful young woman.
03:49It's quite an obvious reason why I was molesting you.
03:52Yeah, there was definitely a lot of judgment on that end.
03:55Out of protectiveness, of course, but it's still a form of judgment.
03:59Yeah.
04:00There is this narrative that people like me cannot get Guy like Guy.
04:05So it was a bit bizarre for everybody.
04:10You got me pretty quickly.
04:12Yeah.
04:12Over nine months, I'd given you everything I offered.
04:15Yeah.
04:15The cottage.
04:16The dog.
04:16Living with me.
04:18Over nine months.
04:18I think Guy is probably my first love.
04:23But you've taken me seriously.
04:25You've done everything.
04:26That's ticked all my boxes.
04:27Whereas previously, my first long-term relationship didn't end that well.
04:34You keep going.
04:35Come on, boy.
04:36Keep on.
04:37Good.
04:39We're on display.
04:40And sometimes I have to stand up for you.
04:42And you get unusual people staring or taking pictures or following.
04:46And if you're going to date someone this morning, you've got to be, okay, that's going to happen.
04:49And sometimes you're going to have to tell someone to step back a bit, you know.
04:52So anytime I'm out, I will be looking at people's phones to see if they're pointing towards me.
04:59It makes you really paranoid.
05:01It's horrible.
05:02And it makes you feel like an animal.
05:03Yeah.
05:03It's almost like quite suffocating and horrendous, really, when I'm just trying to do something normal.
05:10But I've told people off before, haven't they, where you've been stalked and followed?
05:13Yeah.
05:13Like, he's very protective and he will just go up, no sort of qualms about it.
05:19It's, yeah, it's quite nice to have somebody be that protective.
05:24I've always tried to give Kate the confidence to dress, like, nicely and sexy in nice tight dresses
05:27and to dress up properly like you want to dress up, which can attract people who are just blown away
05:33when they see her.
05:34And people will follow you and they will stalk you and they will try and touch you.
05:38Oh, thank you.
05:39Sometimes it's the first time I've ever seen a little person, especially a beautiful little person.
05:44It's not just that you're small, you're small and you're beautiful.
05:46I think that's why the **** is so successful.
05:49My mum, bless her, she hasn't treated me any differently to my brother, but I know there is that extra
05:54layer of wanting to protect me.
05:57Hello.
05:58Hello, good afternoon.
06:00How are you?
06:01Well.
06:03Yeah.
06:03Mum, how are you?
06:04Good darling.
06:06My parents were very unsure.
06:08So, when you first heard I met somebody online on Facebook, what did you really, really think?
06:14Be honest.
06:15Worried.
06:16Yeah?
06:17Why so?
06:18We were concerned about his online relationship meetings or not being able to judge a person via text or you.
06:29Profile picture.
06:30I think it's easy to pretend you're something you're not.
06:34Obviously, before they met him they had the doubts.
06:37They were very wary.
06:38They had, like, researched his Facebook.
06:40They wanted to know.
06:42They researched my Facebook?
06:43Yeah, you knew they did.
06:45It wasn't about ten years ago and saw me drinking.
06:47They probably did.
06:47My mum loves a good Facebook store.
06:52Yeah, some interesting stuff there.
06:54Hello, family.
06:55Hi, guys.
06:56Hi, guys.
06:57So, what were your main concerns when you found out that a random seafarer had contacted her out the blue
07:01on Facebook?
07:03That she was going to disappear out to sea somewhere.
07:08I've got a little bit of trust in you and what you do, but...
07:13It might have been an okay thing, which, luckily enough, it turned out to be an okay thing.
07:19You just seemed like the boy next door.
07:23Yes.
07:24We had a good, positive feeling very soon after you walked into our house.
07:30All right.
07:30Thank you so much for your input.
07:32We love you.
07:33Love you very much.
07:34Bye.
07:34Love you too.
07:35Bye.
07:37Bye.
07:37Bye.
07:41Bye.
07:42Yep.
07:44So, how did you figure it out?
07:45Considering it was your father, pretty well.
07:47Yeah.
07:47Yeah, it was more important than with an average height person for them to know that I was okay
07:51and I was quite keen to come down and meet them as soon as possible so they knew I was
07:54genuine.
07:55You changed my life because you made me realise that I could have a romantic relationship and be in love
07:59with somebody.
08:00I did not expect the boy in love at all.
08:02And it just happened.
08:03It was like a fairytale story, wasn't it, really?
08:05I think you've helped me, sort of, life-wise.
08:09I feel like I could be a woman.
08:11You've really built my confidence.
08:13Good.
08:15Life's chaotic, but I wouldn't have it any other way.
08:18And, er, please don't change.
08:22I'm a bit emotional.
08:23That was true, wasn't it?
08:24Yeah.
08:26You said you're lucky.
08:27I mean, no, no, no.
08:28I can't believe I'm lucky.
08:29I am.
08:31That I've met you.
