00:00After almost a week with no trace of the little boy,
00:07searchers have now mostly departed from the isolated property.
00:12Whilst we've all been hoping for a miracle,
00:15that miracle was not eventuated.
00:17Four-year-old Gus was last seen on Saturday playing in the sand near his family's home.
00:23Police say the resulting search is one of South Australia's largest in recent times.
00:29This commitment has been ongoing and unwavering since that time.
00:35Police say every piece of evidence found to date indicates Gus just wandered away and became lost.
00:43I'm aware that there's a lot of speculation on social media
00:47and various theories that quite a number of people are espousing on social media.
00:52Can I just remind people that it is not helpful?
00:55SES volunteers, specialist police resources, a traditional Aboriginal tracker
01:01and about 50 members of the Defence Force all carefully searched the property and surrounding areas.
01:08But now limited resources will remain at the scene.
01:13As we scale back our resources, there won't necessarily be a presence on the property.
01:19Gus's disappearance has devastated this community,
01:23which has rallied around the family and emergency personnel conducting the search,
01:28offering to help however they could.
01:30Yes, the family are really upset by this, as you'd expect.
