00:01Over the past two days South Australian police have searched this vast area in the states of
00:07remote mid-north looking for Gus Lamont or clues to find out what might have happened to the four
00:12year old who's been missing for almost five months. Several sites have been searched including
00:17on day one when the family homestead south of Yunta at Oak Park station was searched by police.
00:23On day two yesterday the neighbouring property also owned by the family was searched roughly 20
00:29to 30 kilometers from the initial homestead and where Gus was last seen. A cadaver dog was brought
00:34in from New South Wales. Separately to this South Australian police helicoptered staff into a nearby
00:40conservation park to search disused mine shafts neither of which resulted in any evidence of
00:46what might have happened to Gus. Now this follows on from the arrest of 75 year old Josie Murray the
00:51grandmother of Gus on Monday although police say these firearms charges against her are not related
00:57at all to the disappearance of Gus. With police operations wrapping up and the majority of
01:02police heading home South Australian Police Commissioner Grant Stephens foreshadowed what
01:07potential future inquiries could look like. Without sort of encroaching on the work of major crime and
01:13forecasting what they're actually doing we're not ruling out anything so adjoining properties including
01:19the national park is in all likelihood will be part of our investigation as we move forward. We'll use every
01:24resource available to us to if it will contribute to resolving the disappearance of Gus Lamont.
01:30Ultimately this is at least the ninth time South Australian police have searched this vast pastoral
01:35area looking for Gus trying to piece together what might have happened and police are still no closer to finding
01:42answers.
