00:01Hello, it's Martin Dempster, the Scotsman Golf Correspondent here, coming to you from the old course at St Andrews,
00:07ahead of this week's Alfred Dunhill Lynx Championship.
00:12This is the 40th edition of an event bearing the Dunhill name here.
00:19Originally a team event, of course, and now a pro-am involving some of the world's best players
00:28and some well-known celebrities. On this occasion, a week after Europe won the Ryder Cup in New York,
00:36we've got four members of Luke Donald's triumphant team.
00:40Bob McIntyre, Terrell Hatton, Tommy Fleetwood and Matthew Fitzpatrick.
00:47Terrell Hatton is not only the defending champion, but a three-time winner here.
00:52In addition, he also finished second on two occasions, so there's no doubt who the man to beat is in this $5 million event.
01:02Seventeen live golf players are in the field this year.
01:06They include Dustin Johnson, Brooks Koepka, Cameron Smith, who won the Open Championship here a few years ago,
01:12Patrick Reid, Martin Keimer, Louis Oosthuizen, another Open winner here.
01:18And it's certainly going to be a fascinating four days.
01:22The first three days play takes place at Carnoustie, Kingsbarns and here at St Andrews.
01:29Free admission on all three days before the final round is played on the old course here.
01:35And tickets have to be bought for that particular day.
01:42Always a great event.
01:44Johan Rupert, the Dunhill Supremo, very proud of the event that he's created here.
01:51Some of the golf's top administrators are playing, the PGA Tour Commissioner, Jay Monaghan, Yasser Al-Rumayan, the Live Golf Chairman and Piff Supremo.
02:06He's playing again this year.
02:08And lots of autograph hunters are always out for the likes of Michael Douglas and his wife Catherine Zeta-Jones.
