00:01Hello, it's Martin Demsler, the Scotsman Golf Correspondent here, coming to you from Trump International Golf Links in Aberdeen.
00:10The original course here opened in 2012, and this year a second course is being opened at the venue owned by US President Donald Trump.
00:25Anyone who's been here will know that the original course that was designed by Dr Martin Hawtree is a fantastic test of golf, very dramatic.
00:38And it's no surprise really that the owners are saying that this new second course is going to be on par with the original course.
00:48The original course is going to be called the old course, and this is going to be the new course, and it really is in a stunning venue.
00:58Lots of this land was flat when work started on it, a number of designers have been involved, and it really, really is a wonderful piece of property.
01:13This year, the original course for the third year in a row is staging the Stay Sure PGA Seniors Championship, which is being hosted by Colin Montgomery for the second year running.
01:26It starts in the end of July, and the following week, a DP World Tour event, the Scottish Championship will then be played over the same course.
01:40That's rarely happened in golf. It's a fantastic double-header, and it's part of what Sarah Malone, the Executive Director of Trump International, said is a significant and special year.
01:57This course will open at some point in the year, and I think there's no doubt that these two golf courses are going to be significant in terms of hosting events in Scotland going forward.
