00:00I'm not sure that there was anything that Rocco Baldelli could do.

00:03And my guess is, Jack, is that he'll probably either take a year off

00:07or maybe he'll be a bench coach somewhere.

00:08And I do think he'll get another chance somewhere else

00:11as he's come through the system with Tampa Bay.

00:13And I think did a pretty good job with Minnesota.

00:16But essentially, this is a team that could be headed toward a rebuild.

00:19I would guess they'll bring in somebody for that for the next couple of years.

00:22I don't really have any insight there as far as that is concerned.

00:25But Rocco, I think for me, will end up getting a gig in the future.

00:30But probably, like most managers, when this happens,

00:32they sit out a year or two and then you get another chance.

00:34He was very well-liked in Minnesota.

00:37And I think a lot of people were not surprised,

00:39but I think a lot of people were intrigued to see him stick around

00:43for as long as he did.

00:44It felt like he was on a warmer seat for a couple of years.

00:48And I think it's just because people liked him

00:49and people liked being around Rocco Baldelli.

00:52Northeast guy has that Northeast nature to him.

00:54But the wound socket rocket, right?

00:56That's his nickname, Rocco Baldelli.

00:58So, you know, he could go Northeast and, you know,

01:00serve as a bench coach, to your point, or, you know,

01:02just an assistant, special advisor to somebody and, yeah, bounce right back in.

01:06But it seems like they want somebody with that younger feel

01:09for that younger rebuilding team.

01:11They did a really nice job selling off at the deadline.

01:14You know, we don't often give credit to the sellers at the trade deadline,

01:17but if you're going to tear it down, tear it down.

01:21Don't go 40%.

01:22Like, go 80% to 90%, and that's exactly what Minnesota did.

01:25They didn't move Buxton.

01:26They didn't move Joe Ryan, but they moved pretty much everybody else.

01:29And they got a lot of nice prospects to show for that.
