00:00I'm shocked at the amount of white sole trainers around namely the crew look at
00:11them what is up with these guys yeah and I've also noticed two of them can't afford socks
00:16no I would think you'll probably find that they have those socks that don't have tops
00:21what's the point in that well it's to give you that whole vibe of lovely ankles yeah in the 1920s
00:28glimpse of stocking was looked on as something shocking and that's the way people think about
00:33short socks now we're back oh I'm loving this scouring Britain sheds for classic cars a
00:42thing of beauty proper special quintessential Brits that's nice a Lee Francis American icons look at
00:50the amount of chrome on the front there and continental curios that is a Lancia Aprilia
00:57we're gonna buy them thank you so much Ludo sort them it's the sunroof no please I'm getting out now
01:04drive them and sell them for a tidy profit oh we're in the money this is shed buried classic cars
01:14we're off to an airfield near Maidenhead in search of a classic car
01:23we are gonna go and see a man called Ludo do you think he's game game yeah yeah I actually don't think
01:36we've ever visited a Ludo before no it's a cool name what should I tell you why it's quite cool go on
01:44because he is supposedly French so I can parlay avec him the fluent
01:51right okay je m'appelle Henri et aussi mon ami est jelly bean is that right oh yeah a great bit of
02:04bridging the divide between France and the UK okay with some exceptional franglais ah
02:13tre bien au jour duin now shall I tell you what else is tre bien yes yeah Ludo is into customs hot
02:21brody type stuff okay very cool so that could be there could be almost anything there French Italian American
02:31anything whether we come back with a custom classic a kids board game or a slap in the face from Ludo for
02:40my terrible French who knows that maidenhead a long new feet feet Ludo before we start there's a lot of
02:49commotion in the sky well I might have to ask you to speak up a bit okay can I just ask you just an
02:56initial glance here right you're French yes I'm French how come you got into all this just
03:01like happen when when I was kid yeah I just grew up with my dad and had American car and okay yeah
03:07it's a bit strange yeah that was a French love American car living in UK but so why did you come
03:12over here because I think the scene over here on black car and American car is much bigger in in UK
03:18so you've got loads and loads of great cars all kinds of stuff around here are you sort of willing to
03:25part with absolutely everything or we've got a few of them for sale okay right okay so maybe persuade
03:32you to do a little bit more yeah you never know Ludo look what we'll do if it's all right we'll have a
03:37little wander around yeah and then we'll call you in if we need any advice and then hopefully at the end
03:43we'll have a haggle okay yeah you have an idea don't worry you'll behave I will well just about yeah I
03:49will but Ludo uh très bien merci bon chance yeah let's go and allay over there and start a avec le
03:57Mach 1 okay yeah great stuff cheers Ludo we'll see you in a bit all right mate come on then
04:02and here it is the Ford Mustang Mach 1 it's not quite fast enough to break the sound barrier but
04:11the styling is I love the color recently I was in the presence of a lovely lovely red one but I I
04:20think I prefer the lime green I like it mate this is what early 70s yeah yeah early early to mid 70s
04:27because it was a radical departure the first versions of the Ford Mustang were relatively lean
04:36and mean but by the early 1970s they had muscled up with bigger engines and looks to match it was the
04:46the last stage before fuel crisis and of course you know then the freeways and everything back down to
04:53sort of 55 or 65 miles per hour and stuff like downhill from and and of course then emissions
05:00creeps in and then you end up with a Tesla anyway all these things are still around yeah do you want
05:04to go green yeah this is the car as well as muscle cars Ludo clearly has a penchant for classic pickups
05:14like this 1957 Ford and most striking of all this late 50s Ranchero I mean this is taking bare metal to
05:27another level the Ranchero was a general-purpose utility vehicle but Ludo has transformed this one
05:36into a work of automotive art the white bed we've got the rug over the seat and again like you say we've
05:47got the bare metal finish and I think Ludo's been at work as well louvered the bonnet yeah that is
05:53something proper special in my view I could just see myself going down highway one well I think so all the
06:02north circular actually don't bother me yeah yeah you know that's what it's all about I think everything
06:08about this just exudes coolness really whether we'd ever be able to afford this is another issue
06:17but Ludo's also got some rougher looking items there's a Ford Edsel saloon mid resto try getting this into a
06:27multi story and a chevy van with cartoon connotations well all I can say is
06:36Ro-Rain-Brenry what scooby-doo yeah Ro-Rain-Brenry and most intriguing of all there's a container at the
06:46back of the yard with a recent acquisition I wonder what could be inside there a baby well
06:51probably an American car I should imagine might have a trailer let's have a look hold on oh my word oh
07:00there's big and there's this look at the heck is that it's an imperial chrysler a chrysler imperial
07:08late 1950s perhaps but look at it look at the amount of chrome on the front there
07:13this is imperial by chrysler corporation a car of impressive size generous passenger space great dignity
07:27the imperial was chrysler's attempt to compete with cadillac a luxury saloon with high spec and a
07:34high price extracting all 18 foot of it is easier said than done well you have to do like we go on
07:41the side in hang on there are issues i am getting trapped this thing is a monster it takes plenty of
07:51oh la la oh my god and i want to go home but eventually our combined efforts get it out
07:58this is a monumental huge motor car i love it look at it i love it the fins on the back they're kind of
08:08toned down a bit with those rocket ship tail lights looking like looking like flames coming out the back
08:14i love them and the front is still in the 1950s as well but if you look at the saloon area that
08:20is pointing towards the 1960s does it go in that yeah we've started does it okay yeah and as it
08:27this one's available is it yeah blimey blimey o'reilly i'm gonna have to lie down
08:34if you thought nothing could upstage the imperial look at this ford pickup it's a holiday on wheels
08:42yes an american holiday it is yes okay so oh why okay it's a pickup with a caravan kind of drop-on
08:50but this ain't any old caravan oh yes here we are welcome home oh mate that is really mint isn't it
09:00yeah come on
09:04i was thinking i was going to get into some kind of sort of moth-eating camper van
09:08yeah but actually it's utterly lovely i mean what's not to like well probably the price
09:15yeah well we could ask well we can ask
09:17so what an automotive smorgasbord a pimped up ford mustang a stripped down ranchero
09:26a glammed up camper van and a great white whale of a chrysler
09:31but will we be able to afford any of them
09:34come on let's go see him come on then lulu uh au revoir je suis henry avec orange that's french you know
09:48you know to say we've had an amazing time is an understatement if we just go through a few things
09:53to see if there is anything you want to get rid of all right i'm going to start with the green mustang
09:58yeah so uh is that for sale that's for sale yeah okay and this one is for sale i think 17 17 000
10:06on the one okay 17 all right uh now ranchero this one yeah oh no this one is not for sale no
10:14no babies okay so now i'm going to speak french uh uh oh c uh ludo nous avons uh um chrysler grand
10:26blanc whale yeah how much is that that is at eight um eight and a half and then finally you've got what
10:35is a lovely f1 yeah yeah yeah what a lovely thing this is for sale as well yeah okay this is for sale for
10:4116 16 16. so yeah okay how about seven for the white whale um oh that's gonna be tricky seven and a half
10:52seven seven fifty
10:53we're down in maidenhead with ludo and his unexpected collection of american classics he wants eight
11:17and a half grand for a chrysler imperial but will he sell it for less does it have to start with an
11:25eight yeah don't say that where you're going to go from seven seven fifty seven sixty yeah yeah i think the
11:31price yeah yeah great all right thank you so much fantastic ludo that's great eight grand that is
11:40fantastic wheat grand yes that's right yeah it is yeah yeah i think you say wheat meal ludo thank you so
11:46much what a lovely day man two days later back at the shed we make some space for our chrysler alan's
11:57away on holes but jelly has already given it the poor of approval hold on this guy shrunk or is it
12:06just the size of the car it's just the size of the beast i have to tell you i think the only way to
12:13describe this is a cruise ship it is really i do think it's fantastic i love it i love things like look
12:21at this wing mirror it's all that rocket from the 60s to the moon and all that kind of yeah i love the
12:27shape of this screen same here it looks like it's like is this paint okay this oil wax i think yeah
12:35i reckon fuzzer don't you i think that it has been preserved with this wax yeah yeah and i think that
12:43wax goes on the chrome as well right so are we going to get that off or leave it on for a patina no i think
12:50the rust is the patina yeah if we can get this off let's get it off yeah let's digress it or something
12:58yeah i don't know well we'll try with different stuff mate we can do that tomorrow i think you pair
13:03have got your work cut out here because look at the size of it there's a lot of cleaning off to do
13:08there's an acreage yeah yes yeah and skid don't let him walk off so that's tomorrow sorted but today's
13:17other task is to check how this runs here we go there's a lever here all right there we go oh it's
13:24heavy here we go god i'll hold it a wide v 6750 cc's of v8 engine oh mate i just music to my ears yeah
13:36now i'm going to start it and we'll have a look and then we're going to take it down the drive
13:42the three of us and jellybean yeah okay let's see if it actually goes there you are that's all right
13:49okay yeah it's cool that sounds nice yeah it does me hey beans does it sound good to you
13:57has it got good oil pressure have you got an oil pressure gauge yeah seems all right
14:01that sounds lovely yeah that's super smooth i reckon that's running on all eight piling let's go
14:11so let the good times roll albeit in a stately smooth imperial kind of a way
14:18oh i like this i do as well i mean there's plenty of room i mean you know three grown blokes in the
14:33front and a dog and a dog yeah the old can stretch out in the back when he's back yeah yeah all the day
14:38eating crisps yeah i think this is a great vehicle man for a change i think you boys have done well
14:47yeah admittedly there are a few squeaks and rattles but the automatic transmission is as smooth as dean
14:56martin the interior is as big as a greyhound bus and once we've cleaned her up i've got a plan
15:05what are we going to do with it we're going to go to a custom show and we're going to give it the
15:09absolute massive there's something about this car that is very appealing i think you're right
15:17you can see if anything works while we just park okay good idea wipers yes and the car's going
15:26backwards so when you turn the wipers on it selects reverse there we are so there's a slight issue
15:35i don't know where the headlights are working someone's gonna have to get out
15:37okay so that's the that's the headlights side lights try the main beam yes
15:50next morning we start on the cleanup
15:52i found that in the ship it says abrasive compound for cutting finishing or both
16:08mate this is gonna take a while
16:12we're still not quite sure what this coating is but the combined impact of the cutting compound
16:18and the polishing mop has a pretty instant effect i can tell you like this vehicle because you're
16:24very enthusiastic for you normally at this stage you've walked away no no i can tell you're into
16:29this officially i am out of breath our imperial is 18 foot long six foot wide and five foot tall
16:38so it's got more body work than the statue of liberty it's the perfect moment for young sam to turn up
16:45for some work experience the key to it is pressing hard yeah so just all it is is that and then
16:54there you are you can see the black stuff we're trying to get rid of yeah yeah just give it a whiz
16:59give it a whiz have some fun that's fantastic isn't it i mean that's what work experience fellas are for
17:04isn't it collie did you ever do work experience did i heck i'll tell you from distance it's looking good
17:10yeah no it is in the afternoon we let sam off the hook while skid gets on with the chrome work
17:22well as ever when there's a bit of elbow grease to do he's disappeared
17:27they'll claim that he's been doing something of great importance but he's not this is not going to be
17:33a five minute job which also means he's going to get bored i think they've put a kind of lacquer on
17:40it very thinly they painted it on the paintwork this polish does get it off but it takes a while
17:49all right mate nice of you to turn up don't be like that the problem here is yes the sheer scale of
17:56it normally i can do a front bumper in what 20 minutes yeah no look i know you've been doing
18:00a couple of hours i know it is bad isn't it but at the same time mate no pain no game yeah you've got
18:07plenty so you've had no gain then absolutely no gain whatsoever i don't need it because i'm perfect
18:18by the end of the day with the glass cleaned and the chrome all polished
18:22our imperial really is fit for an emperor mate it looks fantastic doesn't it it's beautiful
18:29honestly i tell you that is a transformation it's a subtle one but it is a massive transformation
18:35getting rid of that whatever it is that was on it has been a hard job but at the same time have we added
18:41value next on the list the interior but when skid turns up on the following morning i've got a surprise
18:51for him i had a visitation last night yes uh from my mate oxford don and i couldn't resist it 45 quid
19:03it's a classic american bicycle a schwinn stingray the perfect accessory for the chrysler
19:13we can put that in the boot of the imperial and take it to a show and ride about and you never know
19:19someone might buy it it'll be a great thing to bobble about on yeah great so we can bobble around
19:24at the henley american car show this weekend
19:31but before that there's several things i want to change
19:35the modern headlamps gotta go the seat needs to tidy up and most of all the frame needs a respray
19:42or should we discombobulate yeah let's quickly rip it apart without more ado we banish the interloper
19:55strip and prep the frame
19:59ow what have you done oh that hurt my thumb and once it's all masked off
20:04puff on two coats of rattle cam black this bike will look fantastic when we've done it yeah it
20:12does look nice all that prep is paying off i think isn't it
20:1920 minutes later the first coat is virtually done
20:22i thought you said we'll walk away well you know what it's like you're walking away and then you
20:29see a little nuance that i am i'm walking away now any any any runs in it are going to be flatted off
20:35with a very fine wet and dry what do you think son it's beautiful with the red accents that'll be nice
20:44so what a great day we've given the bike a new look and smartened up the chrysler's paint job big time
20:51it'll be a tall order getting the interior sorted for the weekend's car show but when you've got a
20:56space-age chrysler in the yard the sky's the limit
21:04we've got a job on prepping our vast chrysler imperial for a car show this weekend and finishing
21:21off a schwinn stingray that's gonna sit in the boot the good news is fuzz is back in town the bad news
21:29he's spotted a gremlin i was just standing with it ticking over and i heard a groaning sound and
21:36i thought it might be you nice guy it was the radiator cap just uh letting off a bit of pressure
21:43and then there was a bit of a gush down on the floor and i thought that might have been you as well
21:47but it wasn't i think that we've got a bit of overheating going on
21:51let's put some water in the back okay go on then start it up and see what goes on go on then
22:00right come on i'm gonna see if this will start up okay go on then oh hello bean
22:04okay
22:10well it starts first time yeah that's like jurassic park isn't it i can see bubbles or is that just um
22:17if a head gasket had gone or if we had a crack in the block or something i would be expecting more
22:23bubbling than that right okay would it need a new thermostat possibly so yeah should we uh go and have
22:31tea then or what well if you put the kettle on we'll have the tea that you make
22:38he won't be back you know he has the attention span of a gnat
22:46five minutes later i'm back no refreshments but something much more exciting
22:53can i just say i haven't brought tea i brought something else didn't need to go out hey oh look
22:58at that hey what do you reckon beautiful absolutely stunning oh she's lovely look she's very docile
23:04isn't she so you've been distracted by jelly top the jelly top yeah mine's cold sorry i will do the
23:10tea but it's just that tot needed priority yes well that's fair enough then i'll suffer in silence
23:14so have you found out that the thermostat's knackered we're suspicious of it yeah yeah we're
23:19going to get it out and then drop it in boiling water and see if it opens oh great okay
23:22the thermostat's a vital component which regulates the engine temperature generally they last about
23:3110 years but this car's a lot older than that and here is our thermostat look it's closed so it hasn't
23:40opened at whatever temperature this is at so do we need to put it in boiling water now yeah yes as
23:47we're going to test that i'll go and boil the kettle okay right here we go that's in there so get it on
23:56there what's happening uh we've just dropped some boiling water over the thermostat and we're waiting
24:05to see if the thermostat will open i still haven't made the tea well there's no kettle there i've used
24:11the kettle oh that's right see that was the reason why i didn't because i knew you're going to need it and
24:15i noticed the kettle was stone cold and there were no tea bags in cups right come on then okay should
24:21we see yeah come on okay it should be open by now shouldn't it it should be yeah no okay well yeah it
24:28had opened very very slightly right so we need a new one of those yep can you get on the internet yeah
24:36skids itching to get back to the bike but the interior also leaves plenty to be desired the missing
24:47front panel the door card is lurking in the boot it looks like a burst sofa in fact every single
24:56door card in there looks like a burst sofa doesn't it so join the club
24:59fuzz is undaunted he fits the panel
25:09it looks in much better condition on than when it was in your hand at the boot
25:15and then unleashes his secret weapon a can of contact adhesive
25:21that's cheating i wasn't expecting okay well there we go
25:25when you asked me for a brush i thought you were going to just do the edge
25:30for good measure a little bit along here
25:34he adds the extra layer of glue to the edge
25:37and with skids help crimps it all into position
25:43yeah it's coming together there we are look at that just put my hand on there yeah
25:48well when your elbow's on there you won't see that will you good as new yeah ish
25:54another bit of good news is that i've sourced a replacement thermostat it won't be here till
26:00tomorrow so fuzz heads home leaving skid to get back to the bike now look initial impressions of this
26:07look it's not perfect but it's way better than it was so the first thing i'm going to do
26:13is take all the bags and masking tape off and actually see completely what we're left with
26:20skid removes all the masking that's looking really nice refits the wheels
26:29the cables there we go and the seat and then once the brakes are all sorted
26:38i arrive just in time to be too late oh you've done it that's the beauty of a pedal bike mate
26:46they're so simple well so it's taking you about an hour how fantastic does that look i think you
26:52actually got on quicker without me didn't you but i have to tell you mate that is rather lovely and
26:59it's all ready for us to well is it ready for us to a test ride absolutely it'd go really
27:05nicer with my chopper bicycle wouldn't it oh it would yes it's the americana versus the english oh
27:10well let's get down our drive yeah
27:20do you know what skiddy i'll tell you what there's something about these two bicycles that like
27:25embodies what i loved at an early age about two-wheel transportation youth culture mate yeah that's where
27:34my joy of two wheels started absolutely messing around with bicycles from a really young age
27:40now i want you to watch my starting technique okay because there's there's a really cool thing with
27:44these oh okay okay all right do you want to watch me you're gonna watch i'll stop and wait for you
27:48so we go all right okay now what you do with these this is uber cool right ready just push off
27:53go pedal there we go that's it skidder there we go son oh i'll catch up i'll wait wait for me so chocs away
28:07after spending most of the day working on a huge car these lightweight bikes are such a joy
28:13i'll tell you what is lovely about that is that it complements the imperial beautifully doesn't it
28:26absolutely it's part of american culture and psyche yes yeah yeah you start on that and you end
28:33up cruising main street in an imperial there won't be any cruising down main street unless that thermostat
28:45arrives fortunately next day it does i'm just gonna pop the new thermostat in place there we go
28:55everybody's left me look you're supposed to know what you're doing mate and i've bought you a big
29:06jug of water to fill it up with when you're finished oh he's just kicked over the water i've kicked the
29:16in goes the h2o and we're ready for a test
29:20so let's just wait and see what happens what are those pipes like now the heater pipes
29:51i mean they're warmer than they were but by this time last time
29:54yeah they'd have been red hot that's it well i think now we've got proper circulation
30:01i'm gonna stick my neck out and say yeah i reckon we've solved it right great yeah
30:07this is definitely warming up this was stone cold before yes that's right
30:12yeah i think we've solved it so well done boss i think we might
30:16be able to go out for a little drivey wavy i think we should have a spin shouldn't we
30:25so we're back on the road again
30:28with a car this wide i hope i don't meet anyone in the lane yeah and i hope you don't put it in a ditch
30:34oh ye of little faith firstly there are no ditches big enough and secondly it drives great
30:46tell you what so far so good i think no yeah what are the gauges all gauges are right in the middle
30:53right okay battery temperature gasoline which will be down in a minute our imperial comes from a time
31:02when no one cared about fuel economy it does eight miles per gallon on the highway less in the city
31:09this literally takes up most of the footprint of a route master bus i think it takes up most of the
31:17carbon footprint of the uk on a more positive note there's no sign of overheating or radiator problems
31:27shall i try and smoke it and see what happens with the gears no no no no you see there we go there's
31:33the mechanical sympathy oh oh here we go just go gently yeah before i destroy the gearbox we'll
31:42head back home fuzz has got a scoot so me and guy are going to do a bit of re-upholstery
31:50this is what you call in the trade mate blanket coverage look these are lovely look feel how nice
31:57they are they are soft they're all just soft and warm and fuzzy now then i think these are going to
32:03look rather nice in there should we do the back one first only because that's the most horrible yes
32:13whether they're rolled up on the front forks of a harley or adorning the back of a custom car
32:19the mexican roll mat has become a restorer staple
32:22i think we should leave the front seats as they are that red goes with that red vinyl yeah it's
32:31great mate rock on i would now be willing to actually sit on that exactly i'll tell you what's
32:37lovely about that with that furry inside of that blanket if we get sort of stranded yeah nice snooze
32:43material yeah or you can take it out and sit on the riverbank with it exactly or have a picnic it's
32:48beautiful man beautiful good old mexican mats tomorrow we're heading for a classic american car show
32:56at stoner park near henley admittedly our chrysler is still more rolling restoration
33:03than concourse queen but it's a perfect candidate for the rally of the giants
33:18just two weeks ago we rolled out a chrysler imperial from a container in maidenhead
33:29yeah great all right thank you so much we cleaned it repaired it
33:41we've got proper circulation all right and we've sold it and showed it the love
33:49a little bit along here now we're taking it to a classic car show at stoner park near henley
33:59have you filled up with petrol because this is this likes a drink well yes is the answer with
34:05a can or from a pump can so it's not that much no so it was just one we're going to get about 10 miles
34:12yeah can we stop at the first petrol station please it was a couple of cans all right we will stop we
34:19will stop and guzzle up
34:21in spite of its thirsty petrol tank advertisements for the imperial declared that it was such a
34:30comfortable ride owners would never want to leave the wheel even on a british road where it dwarfs the
34:36other cars it's incredibly smooth oh man this is rolling i really do feel like we're going to
34:44the rally of the giants hey i think it has a feeling already it will make it
34:49yeah i think it will make it i think it's great i love this car
34:55five gallons later we reach henley
35:02hey i'll tell you what it's not bad is it
35:16oh we've arrived boys fantastic how fantastic is that we're right in the middle of the action as well
35:21the rally of the giants is the uk's largest classic american car show living proof if it were needed
35:30that when it comes to american cars size matters alan murphy is the boss
35:38hey so look tell us then mate about the show and how long has it been going for and every year since 1966
35:45bar for the covid year there are 271 entries from all eras of american iron
35:56man they're just beautiful and also they're all so different you look at the eclectic next here
36:02you know i'm sorry in the 40s and 50s you didn't get that kind of sort of variation within british
36:08no that's right yeah with a brown interior yeah yeah
36:15though i was hoping to use the show to find a buyer for the chrysler
36:19it's impossible not to go walk about when there's so much to see
36:25there are all the famous brands from chevrolet to plymouth to buick
36:35oh gosh look at the dashboard lads and rare models like this cadillac el dorado
36:43which almost out fins are imperial
36:47i bought it as a wreck and i thought because i didn't have to pay a lot for it yeah i thought
36:52i'd do a bit of an elvis tribute because he had a purple 56 did he so i've done everything the same
36:57except for he had white stripe on the on the back fin there so it's an elvis homage it's quite a rare
37:04old car i mean i think they made about you know 1200 back in 56
37:11and going back even further one of the first ever cadillacs from 1903
37:17tell me about the snake there that's well cool it's a period extra it's a boa constrictor horn and
37:23how cool is that the car was um 200 pounds new yeah that horn was 12 pounds so well over 10 percent of
37:32the value that's amazing even more surprising is how you get this caddy going there's a bit of a
37:39procedure to it but you're happy to do it go on fuzz yeah i'll do it yeah remove the seat
37:45okay okay all right you lift up the hatch okay can you see there's a tap on the side yes turn that
37:53to 90 degrees turn to 90 degrees these oilers need to be in the upright position there's three of
37:59them on both oilers two and three correct okay this is the important bit can you see the little
38:06notch on there yeah you need to have that lined up with the with that line there okay if you want
38:13to now prime it i've shown you where the primer lever is if you now count to five one two three
38:20four five yep so you've now primed the carburetor fantastic i'm ready you have to put the throttle
38:27onto full so it's anti-clockwise you'll feel it get very stiff go over that that's the compression
38:35keep going around you've got to get it onto the third compression there okay right slide that button
38:42yeah to either the left or the right that's ignition two hands now right and give it all you've got
38:51there you go
38:54it's running you can take it for granted this cadillac was never used as a getaway car
39:05but there are others that might have been i have to tell you i mean we're both real bikers really
39:11yeah but i don't know what it is but i just feel like i've come home yeah when you look at something
39:17like that with that whole kind of sort of bonnie and clive sort of vibe it's everything that i grew
39:23up with great gatsby and all this kind of stuff you know it's 1930 yeah they made 128 of them and at the
39:31moment we only know of two others worldwide on the road wow they're still going yeah most of the cars
39:40are beautifully restored production models but there are some fabulous hot rods like this model b roadster
39:47it was bright yellow when i got it but i wanted to split it up so my mate let me borrow his barn and i
39:53painted the back of it black you've done a good job you did that yeah i'll tell you what i'm quite
39:57partial with the rattle can that's actually that's all right can i just say it's not that quality mate
40:05don't let him near it eight liters that is absolutely quite light on the throttle and amory i love your
40:14outfit to go with it you've just got the look yeah you on the other hand mark i mean he could do better
40:19couldn't he he's just everybody says that but when it comes to engines very few things can out wow this
40:27vintage buick this is a 1918 car is it yes so it's almost as old as you but it is superbly presented
40:38perfect patination oh yeah man look at that oh that is amazing that is your cathedral of mechanical
40:47music isn't it isn't it it's like an organ it's good for 50 miles an hour fantastic rear wheel brakes
40:55only so yeah a little bit dangerous yeah but at the same time that's the fun
41:03so if you want fins chrome and unlimited fun get yourself some american iron and roll on down to the
41:13rally of the giants they might look like a million dollars but these days american classics are
41:19surprisingly affordable which brings us back to our chrysler imperial
41:25what an amazing day lads now look we were supposed to bring this out and sell it
41:29well we've had too much fun walking around haven't we we haven't we haven't exactly been here to sell it
41:35yeah but you know this scene is so fantastic it'd be worth keeping hold of it really wouldn't it
41:41oh don't say that mate yeah look the other thing is is that we got the stingray out the boot
41:45yeah yeah but again no takers for that mainly because we haven't been we haven't been here to
41:49sell it entertain them no hey what a great shame but all we can do now really is find out how much
41:56it's worth from chopper roy yeah but i reckon it's nine grand all day long
42:03next day i find out if my hunch is correct when we stage our own exclusive car show back at the ranch
42:10i mean it is a boat yeah what do you reckon i love it oh do you yeah right up my street yeah i knew
42:17it'd be up your street chops yeah i've had loads of these have you yeah well obviously it's a rolling
42:22restoration yeah but what do you reckon uh it's got to be a massive hole in 10 but if it was around
42:29the nine i'd probably have it myself oh well done thank you very much yeah yeah that's good that's
42:36great yeah we've made a grand on that we have all right no we've done a lot no no i'm just telling you
42:44i think that'd suit you i think you two should go out together in it with your two shirts on
42:48look at you the two of you as for our other bit of americana it rides nicely i've ridden it yeah
42:57they're well built 400 quid steady on is that good or bad no that's i mean we are on a serious
43:06owner there they're 300 quid for a rough one so we bought it for 45 quid oh bargain uh
43:12uh chopstickle that's amazing you've earned me a thousand pounds yeah uh and um i've earned you a
43:18little tickle there thank you very much let's just say it's 300 yes uh so you've earned me 255 on this
43:25bargain that's 1255 quid well done oh you're very welcome sir yeah thank you very much yeah that's
