03:01We're reacting kind of live to SmackDown as it goes down in the background while I'm doing this with you guys.
03:06And then we're going to get into the day's news and then eventually get to our predictions.
03:10We've got all out.
03:11We've got Russell Palooza.
03:12We want to get to all of it.
03:13Let's get started.
03:15Raja Jackson arrested, charged with felony following an attack on indie wrestler Psycho Stu.
03:22We talked about this a few weeks ago on our show, and just about everybody in the wrestling world has.
03:26TMZ reporting he was taken into custody Thursday morning and charged with a felony.
03:30He's being held on $50,000 bond.
03:33This all stems from the video that he recorded and was live streaming at a Knox Pro wrestling event out in California
03:41where somehow the messages got crossed.
03:45Psycho Stu thought he was another performer in the back.
03:47They saw cameras recording and all this stuff.
03:49And somehow it led to Psycho Stu hitting him in the head with an empty beer can,
03:52which then resulted in them trying to rectify the situation by putting him into a wrestling situation at their event
04:00where he sat ringside, charged into the ring, and just pummeled the heck out of Psycho Stu legit.
04:06It wasn't a work. It was totally a shoot.
04:09And even after Stu was out cold from slamming him to the mat, this guy pummeled him into oblivion
04:15and did serious, serious damage to Psycho Stu.
04:18This, I think it's pretty much universal with the exception of Rampage Jackson himself.
04:22Pretty much everybody has detested this situation.
04:25Rampage Jackson somehow still defending his son, showing no remorse.
04:29It's absolutely ridiculous.
04:31He's been asking for him to investigate other people at the venue, including Psycho Stu.
04:36But at this point right now, Raja Jackson has been arrested.
04:39We'll have to monitor that situation closely and we will keep you updated in future episodes.
04:44Interesting news coming out today from Scott DeMoore.
04:46If you don't know who Scott DeMoore is, we've talked to him on this show several times.
04:50He is the former head of TNA Wrestling.
04:52He left that organization in 2024, early 2024.
04:57They relieved him of his duties.
04:59He now has restarted Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling.
05:01And having an interesting conversation with regards to the business of TNA in the past.
05:07And he was having a conversation with Kurt Angle on Uncrowned.
05:13And in that conversation, Brock Lesnar came up and Kurt Angle revealed that Brock Lesnar was in talks with TNA back in 2007.
05:23And that there were reports back then that it was happening.
05:26Nobody knew whether to believe it or not.
05:28But DeMoore is confirming Kurt Angle really wanted to bring him in and do something with him.
05:33They were very excited about it.
05:34Obviously, if you look hindsight to 2020, look back, Dixie Carter was not interested at the time.
05:39Who knows how different the wrestling landscape would be.
05:42But think about Brock Lesnar.
05:44This is 07.
05:45This is before he goes to UFC and becomes UFC heavyweight champion.
05:49It could have been a very different wrestling landscape for Brock Lesnar.
05:52A very different future had he gone to TNA.
05:55When he left WWE, he ended up doing some stuff with the NFL.
05:58Eventually transitioning to UFC, becoming UFC heavyweight champion.
06:01And then eventually returning to WWE.
06:03Much of that may have been very different.
06:05Vince McMahon, some of his appeal is the fact that Brock was a former UFC heavyweight champion.
06:08When he returned.
06:09If that was not the case, because he got sidetracked.
06:12When he left WWE, he was doing some things with New Japan.
06:15But this would have been much bigger, more substantial.
06:18Maybe that's why it never came to fruition.
06:20You know how Brock is.
06:22He wants a specific schedule.
06:24And maybe that's what it was.
06:25I don't know.
06:26I don't want to speculate too much.
06:27But it's definitely interesting to see how he could have ended up in TNA.
06:30And speaking of TNA.
06:32Dave Meltzer talking on Wrestling Observer Radio.
06:35As was echoed by the guys on Busted Open.
06:39Bully Ray and the rest of the crew.
06:42Talking about TNA and their relationship with WWE NXT.
06:45If you're watching Homecoming, many of the TNA roster were talking trash on Twitter.
06:50Being offended and whatnot.
06:51That they weren't at the show.
06:53Talents like Mustafa Ali.
06:56Mike Santana-Ash by Elegance.
06:58Who formerly used to be Dana Brooke in WWE.
07:01They were on Twitter throughout the show.
07:03Complaining about being disrespected.
07:07And the word is coming out of Wrestling Observer Radio.
07:10Is that this is going to lead to a TNA versus NXT feud.
07:14A big invasion angle.
07:16Which this is the right time of year for that.
07:18This is when we usually see war games.
07:20Maybe we will see a war game situation.
07:22Team TNA versus Team NXT.
07:24Not sure how that would play out.
07:26I think it was kind of messed up the at homecoming.
07:28You tease that with Shawn Michaels and Triple H.
07:30Because now if you want to do this.
07:31It almost takes away from that interaction they had there with William Regal.
07:35Definitely exciting to see that.
07:37Because I was waiting to see some kind of big development between TNA and WWE.
07:40But Meltzer also recently reported that it is absolutely in WWE's contract.
07:46With this situation with TNA.
07:49That they do have the opportunity to purchase the company.
07:52That is huge.
07:53And I do think at some point that is going to be what's going to happen.
07:57Right now they're looking for streaming deals.
07:59They're looking for television distribution deals.
08:01To get on a bigger platform.
08:03But I think as time goes on.
08:05And if this relationship really does foster great communication and matches and things.
08:09Between the talent.
08:10I would not be surprised to see WWE acquire TNA.
08:13And use it as yet another brand under their umbrella.
08:16And that should be very exciting.
08:18And something that everybody would be having more opportunities.
08:21Take guys who are not doing anything in WWE of meaning.
08:24And put them over to TNA.
08:26Let them get refreshed.
08:27Let them get some new angles.
08:28Work with some new talent.
08:29And then you bring them back.
08:30And they're bigger and better than ever.
08:31People who are in TNA who need a push to the main roster.
08:34Like for example Joe Hendry.
08:36Is slowly being phased out of TNA's programming.
08:39Because he is expected to make a full time move to WWE in early 2026.
08:43It could do that as well.
08:45Where you have guys who you've basically done everything they can in TNA.
08:48And you bring them to WWE.
08:49People in WWE who've done so much.
08:51Or have maybe gotten a little I hate to say the word stale.
08:54In WWE can transition to TNA.
08:56And almost refresh their character.
08:58And bring them back at a later time.
09:00And it really keeps it so the investment you've made in that intellectual property.
09:03Is still paying dividends later on.
09:05Word came out that we know what the card is.
09:09Or at least part of the card for Russell Palooza.
09:11We have heard that on the Pat McAfee show.
09:13That Brock Lesnar and John Cena will open the show.
09:16And then earlier today it was announced that the show is going to be closed.
09:21It was revealed on X that the show will close with Cody Rhodes defending the WWE Undisputed Championship against Drew McIntyre.
09:28Which in my personal opinion.
09:30If you weren't going to put Cena and Brock on last.
09:33They have to go first.
09:34I get that.
09:35And if you look at how it lines up.
09:36And they talked about this on both Busted Open Radio.
09:39Wrestling.
09:40WrestleZone.
09:41I apologize.
09:42WrestleTalk News.
09:43Everybody has the same feel about this.
09:45If you look at the scheduling of the timing of starting and stopping of shows.
09:49All Out is going to start around 3 o'clock.
09:51So that means the end of All Out.
09:53The main events of All Out.
09:54Are going to probably end up running up against John Cena and Brock Lesnar.
09:58Which could draw a lot of people away from that AEW audience.
10:02And keeping in mind that All Out is a paid show.
10:05Just like it looks like Wrestle Palooza is going to be.
10:08So this will be interesting to see what the Cena-Lesnar match does.
10:11To the viewership of the main event of AEW's programming.
10:14Is it counter-programming ESPN?
10:16People were on earlier this week.
10:18Talking about how that's not the case.
10:19They just want to blow up the initial number.
10:22The first PLE on the show.
10:23And then I love.
10:24Bully Ray had a great take on this this week.
10:26On Busted Open Radio.
10:27Where he said.
10:28For the rest of time.
10:29You look back.
10:30You look at what was the first PLE match ever.
10:33For ESPN.
10:34John Cena vs Brock Lesnar.
10:36Two of the biggest names in the history of the business.
10:38And that will be the moment.
10:39Who do you want to be that?
10:40Do you want it to be a convoluted conversation?
10:42About the mixed tag team match?
10:44Do you want it to be the Cody Rhodes Drew McIntyre thing?
10:46Maybe you don't think McIntyre is a big enough name.
10:48To be that historic of a moment.
10:50Cena-Lesnar clearly is.
10:52And I actually think that makes a lot of sense.
10:54But at this point.
10:55They're going to open the show.
10:56And the show is going to close.
10:57With what I think is the wrong match.
10:59Rhodes and McIntyre should be earlier in the card.
11:01Midway.
11:02Because I think the show should be closed out.
11:04By the Seth Rollins Becky Lynch vs Punk AJ Lee match.
11:07I think that is the bigger draw at the show.
11:09Everyone wants to see what AJ Lee can do after all this time off.
11:13But we have no idea what's going to happen.
11:14Now.
11:15As we feed into that show.
11:17Tonight on SmackDown.
11:19Brock Lesnar opens a show.
11:21Threatening Dragon.
11:23Oh my gosh.
11:25I can't believe I'm just drawing a blank on announcers names.
11:28Um.
11:29But anyways.
11:30Getting in the ring.
11:31Hitting two F5's.
11:32On Corey Graves.
11:33Which was.
11:34Interesting.
11:35Because Corey Graves doesn't wrestle anymore.
11:36Um.
11:37So when Michael Cole.
11:38It was Michael Cole.
11:39How can I not remember Michael Cole's name?
11:40So he goes to.
11:41Michael Cole's near a ring side.
11:43Brock Lesnar grabs him.
11:44Picks him up.
11:45Carries him in the ring.
11:46Takes him in the ring.
11:47It's clear he's going to attack Michael Cole.
11:48Corey Graves came in to try to.
11:49Calm things down.
11:50And he hit a couple F5's on Corey Graves.
11:52Laying him out.
11:53Leading to the Miz doing commentary.
11:55The show has been.
11:56Like amazing.
11:57I'm not a big fan of the fact.
11:59That they had this three way match book.
12:00For next week.
12:01For the women's championship.
12:02On Smackdown.
12:03I think that they needed to do something tonight.
12:06As a major lead in.
12:07To.
12:08Wrestle Palooza.
12:09They should have done it tonight.
12:10But.
12:11At least we know.
12:12There's some resolution there.
12:13Sammy Zane's open challenge.
12:14Went very well.
12:15Great match.
12:16He and Carmelo.
12:17He retains.
12:18Just a lot of things going on.
12:19So.
12:20We're ready to go for Wrestle Palooza.
12:21I'm going to get into Wrestle Palooza first.
12:22Just because it is a shorter card.
12:24I'm sorry.
12:25When I pull up the cards.
12:26When I look at them.
12:27And you got five matches on WWE's card.
12:28And then when you go over to all out.
12:30And you're literally looking at a rack of 13 matches.
12:32It's.
12:33It's very different way to produce television and pale ease.
12:36So going to WWE.
12:37Let's run through the matches real quick.
12:39Let's give our prediction.
12:40We know the show is going to open with John Cena versus Brock Lesnar.
12:43There's a lot of ways you can look at this.
12:45I listened to Dave LaGreca and Bully Ray go back round and round about this.
12:49I've listened to the predictions on WrestleZone and various other online streaming influencers.
12:57Here's the thing.
12:58I think this has seen his last go around.
13:00Brock Lesnar has already had that dominant performance at SummerSlam 2014.
13:03We don't need to see another one of those.
13:05Lesnar.
13:06The way he wiped out Corey Graves.
13:08The way he's been so.
13:09So dominant in everything he's done since he's been back.
13:12He doesn't hurt his legacy at all to take a loss here.
13:14I.
13:15If I'm WWE.
13:16I booked John Cena to win this.
13:18However.
13:19When you look at Dave LaGreca's approach.
13:22He looks at this as there's a possibility that Brock goes over here.
13:25To set up a rematch later.
13:27With Cena only having like six dates left.
13:30There's very limited things you could do with that.
13:32And this could lead to another return match.
13:34And he and Brock again.
13:35I hate that idea.
13:36It would make sense.
13:37But I hate the idea.
13:39Because I want to see Cena work with as many people as he can before he leaves.
13:42And realistically.
13:43If he only has five or six appearances left.
13:45Then you're looking at a situation where.
13:47Every appearance isn't a match.
13:49So now how many actual matches does John have left?
13:52Maybe two or three.
13:53And you've got like a four month period.
13:55So you got all of the rest of September.
13:57October.
13:58November.
13:59December.
14:00That's a lot of time to fill when you only have.
14:01When you only have five opportunities.
14:02And some of it has to be promos.
14:04Building up these matches.
14:06Matches.
14:07So.
14:08Maybe.
14:09We get three more matches after this from John Cena.
14:11Probably more like two.
14:13If that's the case.
14:14Do you really want one of the last two matches John Cena ever has to be with Brock Lesnar?
14:19Quite frankly.
14:20I saw somebody suggest that it should be Dominic Mysterio.
14:22And have him cheat.
14:23John Cena.
14:24Out of his final match.
14:26You could do the storyline where Cena's never held the Intercontinental Championship.
14:29He's trying to win that on the way out the door.
14:30And Dom cheats to win in John Cena's last match.
14:33I actually have no problem with that.
14:35I think it'd be phenomenal.
14:36John giving him the rub.
14:37Right now Dominic's in a phenomenal position to really take off.
14:41Double champion.
14:42All that stuff.
14:43But we'll have to wait and see.
14:44Guys.
14:45I would love to see how Cena have the opportunity to work with before he goes.
14:47And we are running out of time to do that.
14:49And I don't really want to waste two of them on Brock.
14:51My official prediction.
14:52John Cena wins here.
14:53Brock Lesnar.
14:54Dominant.
14:55But does not pick up the win.
14:56The Usos.
14:57Take on the vision.
14:59Bronson Reed and Braun Breaker.
15:00I see no reason for the Usos to win this.
15:03They're not going to be challenging for the Tag Team Championship any soon.
15:06Whereas Bronson and Braun could be.
15:08I think Jay has established that he needs to be a single star.
15:11This could lead to a Jey Uso heel turn where he feuds again with Jimmy.
15:15But this time Jimmy becoming the good guy.
15:17And maybe Jimmy starts getting a little bit of a push as a single star.
15:20They were talking about a US title run ahead leading into WrestleMania.
15:23That never came to fruition.
15:24Maybe they do that now if Jay does flip.
15:27How does Roman get involved in this?
15:29Because at some point clearly he will.
15:31But when we look at this.
15:33Bronson and Braun need this.
15:35They need this because at some point they have to win the Tag Team Championship.
15:37Because all these dominant groups.
15:39You got Seth Rollins with the World Heavyweight Championship.
15:41Becky Lynch with the Intercontinental Championship.
15:43And these guys need to win one of the Tag Team titles.
15:45Probably the Raw Tag Team Championship.
15:47WWE Tag Team Championship.
15:49So that they can carry all the gold.
15:52That's what these huge factions always do.
15:54So I predict the Usos fall here to the vision.
15:58Bronson Reed and Braun Breaker.
15:59And potentially we see a Jay Uso heel turn.
16:02Now we also have to wonder what's going to happen with LA Knight.
16:04Could be a little crazy.
16:05We'll have to wait and see.
16:06We'll have to wait and see.
16:07I hope he doesn't get involved at all.
16:08Because if he does it's going to ruin what could be a phenomenal, phenomenal match.
16:12EO Sky.
16:13Stephanie Vekera.
16:14WWE Women's World Championship.
16:16This match.
16:17It makes no sense to me for anybody to win this.
16:19But Stephanie Vekera.
16:20Because EO clearly has to have a program with Asuka coming up very soon.
16:24I could see a situation where Asuka comes out to help her.
16:26Even though she doesn't want to help.
16:28Leading to some kind of schmaz situation.
16:30Where Vekera picks up the victory.
16:32Wins the Women's Championship.
16:33EO goes on to face off with Asuka in a feud of their own.
16:38And that gets EO out of the championship picture for a hot minute.
16:40Because she's been in it for so much so long.
16:42And then Stephanie can move on to other things.
16:44Which we would love to see.
16:45Things like Vekera versus Rhea Ripley.
16:48Vekera versus just about anybody else.
16:50Give us a Raquel Rodriguez.
16:52You could put her in with Roxanne Perez.
16:55Do some of these matches as her being Women's World Champion.
16:59I think it could be a great opportunity.
17:00And you could even ride her all the way into January.
17:03And have her give the championship up at the Royal Rumble.
17:05Leading into whatever it is you want to do at WrestleMania.
17:07And that gives her a great long run as Women's Champion.
17:11Long in terms of 2025 kind of long.
17:14Other than Roman Reigns.
17:15Everybody has a couple months.
17:17Give it a couple months.
17:18And then lead into a great program with somebody else heading into Mania.
17:20We'll have to see how that plays out.
17:22Cody Rhodes.
17:23Drew McIntyre.
17:24We know it's going to finish the show.
17:25Obviously I'm going in a different order for a reason.
17:27I'm going in order I think it should be.
17:28Cody Rhodes.
17:29Drew McIntyre.
17:30There is no chance Drew McIntyre wins this match.
17:32Unless WWE is insane.
17:34It just doesn't make sense.
17:36It's a good match.
17:37Should be solid.
17:38Should be physical.
17:39These guys have history.
17:40Former tag team champions together.
17:41Drew is one of the best workers in the business.
17:43And clearly does not get the respect he deserves.
17:45Because I think he is absolutely underappreciated.
17:47But in this match.
17:48Cody Rhodes needs to win this.
17:50For other things that look so clear down the road.
17:53The only way I see Cody Rhodes losing this match.
17:56Is if we have a Randy Orton interference.
17:58Going heel.
17:59Helping Drew win the championship.
18:00Which doesn't make any sense to me.
18:02But that's the only thing I could see.
18:03To lead to something with Cody and Randy.
18:06But I'd like to push that off.
18:08Because I'd like to see Cody Rhodes versus Randy Orton.
18:10At WrestleMania.
18:11Not here.
18:12Not this early.
18:13Not at Survivor Series.
18:14Not at the Royal Rumble.
18:15That is a WrestleMania level match.
18:17That's where I want to see it.
18:18So I don't think that's going to happen yet.
18:20But at some point.
18:21Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton are going to get in the ring.
18:23And it's going to be phenomenal.
18:24And what I think should be the main event.
18:26CM Punk.
18:27AJ Lee versus Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch.
18:29Mixed tag team match.
18:31If the bronze win.
18:33I think Rollins and Becky Lynch can lose.
18:35If the bronze lose.
18:37There's no chance Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch lose.
18:39Because you can't have the vision lose both matches.
18:41Can you have them win both matches?
18:43Possibly.
18:44Possibly.
18:45But you've already shafted Punk out of the World Championship.
18:48He got shafted against Cena.
18:49How many times can you shaft Punk over?
18:51Before you've got to give the guy a win at some point.
18:53And it's AJ Lee's return match.
18:54I have a tough time with that.
18:56If Lee picks up the win.
18:57Now I've seen people talk about like Punk is going to hit the GTS on Becky Lynch.
19:00And Lee will pick up the pin.
19:02I don't love that idea.
19:03The guy just said how he would never hit a woman.
19:05If he was going to hit a woman anyways.
19:06Then we didn't need AJ Lee.
19:07You could have done that on the show without bringing your wife in.
19:09You brought your wife in for a reason.
19:11But if she hits the GTS.
19:13I think that would be amazing.
19:14And she could pin Becky.
19:15Now I'd much rather see AJ Lee.
19:17Just put her into her submission hold.
19:19And get the submission victory.
19:20Leading to an Intercontinental Championship program with Becky Lynch.
19:22Where Becky Lynch could retain in their first match.
19:24Though they have one win apiece.
19:26And then lead to a bigger match.
19:28Probably at the Royal Rumble.
19:29Where AJ Lee could win the Intercontinental Championship.
19:32She's still not in the World Championship picture.
19:34Which is fine.
19:35And she could go on to have a great feud with somebody else heading into Mania.
19:37Heading into Mania.
19:39Perhaps Stephanie Veccher.
19:40Who I already predicted I would have lose the Women's Championship at Royal Rumble.
19:45And that would free her up to work with AJ Lee.
19:47I think they would have incredible styles working together.
19:49The last thing we got to get to tonight.
19:51Which I don't mean to say that like it's disrespectful in any way shape or form.
19:54It's just the nature and flow of things.
19:56We got to talk about All Out coming tomorrow as well.
19:59Well, let's go through the matches.
20:01There are 13 of them.
20:02On the pre-show.
20:03Harley Cameron.
20:04Mina Shirakawa.
20:05Queen Nominato.
20:06Willow Nightingale.
20:07Versus Megan Bain.
20:08Penelope Ford.
20:09And the Triangle of Madness.
20:10Julia Hart.
20:11And Sky Blue.
20:12Who cares who wins this.
20:13This is Tony Khan.
20:14Booking like a New Japan show.
20:15Where you throw all these like multi-person matches on.
20:17Before the show actually starts.
20:18Whatever.
20:19Don't care.
20:20Who cares who wins.
20:21Let's just pick one at random.
20:22Let's go with Megan Bain.
20:23Penelope Ford.
20:24And the Triangle of Madness.
20:25Okay.
20:26Um.
20:27This.
20:28This show is going to have 13 matches on.
20:29It's going to go for like five hours.
20:30So.

21:35Because the bigger storyline is something you can't do right now because of the way they booked this.

22:41And into a single spot where he can start going for the World Championship.
22:44Because that's where he belongs.
22:45Certainly at his age.
22:46And I'm not crapping on Bobby Lashley.
22:47The guy's in phenomenal shape.
22:48He always will be.
22:49That guy's amazing.
22:50He's a machine.
22:51But he is a guy.
22:52Who should be tearing through the upper part of the card.
22:54And instead he's toiling in the Tag Team Division.
22:56And I get it.
22:57You're helping Shelton and MVP stay relevant.
22:59But they could do their thing as a tag team.
23:01And he could go on and be a major single star.
23:03Which is what they did in WWE.
23:04And was very successful.
23:05They should do it again here.
