02:50comments, questions, or concerns in a future episode.
02:53It is dynamite night, and there is a lot going on.
02:56We're going to get into dynamite as we go through the episode.
02:58So far tonight, already a lot of action going on.
03:01The Outrunners open with a match against, well, calling them two jobbers, also known
03:07as the Young Bucks, and of course, the Young Bucks pick up the win in the AEW Tag Team
03:12Title Tournament first round action, and then the big news of the night so far, AEW World
03:17Championship match, Hangman Adam Page taking on Jon Moxley, sees Hangman Page retain his
03:23championship.
03:24A lot of stuff still to come.
03:26Tony Storm, Alex Windsor versus Athena and Billy Starks.
03:30We still have Ricochet versus Mark Briscoe.
03:32We still have MJF appearing live.
03:34Christian Cage was there earlier having conversation about his history with Adam Copeland.
03:39He ended up getting attacked in the back.
03:41It's going to be an action-packed night, top to bottom, for AEW Dynamite.
03:46And as we go through the show, if anything exciting happens, we'll try to update you on that.
03:49As we progress through the news for the day, though, this episode will cover the day's news
03:53and rumors, and we will get into our SummerSlam predictions for this weekend's pay-per-view.
03:59SummerSlam two-night event, 2025.
04:01First time we're going two nights.
04:02The biggest party of the summer.
04:05Before we get to that, though, let's cover all the rest of the conversation in the world
04:09of professional wrestling.
04:10The G1 Climax, in my opinion, the greatest tournament in all of professional wrestling,
04:14taking place right now, night eight, is in the books, and we covered a little bit of
04:19this in the last episode.
04:20The rankings are so close.
04:23Right now, there are literally five wrestlers with the same points leading the pack, eight
04:28points so far.
04:29For those who have never watched a G1, wins earn you points, draws earn you points, losses
04:35earn you nothing, and the two highest point-getters from Block A and Block B in a round-robin-style
04:41tournament will end up facing off in the finals to get a shot at the World Heavyweight Champion
04:45later on this year.
04:47Block A has, let's see, what do we got here?
04:49Three, six, nine, ten people per side.
04:53So you got 20 competitors going at it in these round-robin blocks.
04:57And right now, it's a who's who because there are five wrestlers with eight points already,
05:02eight nights in, keeping in mind that each block only competes every other show.
05:07So one night, Block A will compete, and all the Block 2 competitors will have tag-team
05:11matches and miscellaneous stuff.
05:13The next night, Block 2 will go, and Block A will have tag-team matches and whatnot.
05:16It's a really cool way to run a pay-per-view across several evenings, and it does take a
05:22toll on the wrestlers.
05:24Kind of not as much as it did back in the day when they were working 350 days a year,
05:27but definitely harder than their typical schedule.
05:30And it's like a who's who of the superstars of New Japan Pro Wrestling right now.
05:34So, you know, Great Okan, Ren Narita, Yoshihashi, Evil, Sanada, El Phantasmo, Shingo Takagi,
05:42Dave Finley, Shoto Yumino.
05:45I mean, they're all in there.
05:46Hiroshi Tanahashi, his last time competing as it's his retirement year.
05:50And like I said, we have five people tied at the top with eight points.
05:53After that, you have another six people with six points.
05:57This is anybody's game, with the minor exception of one.
06:01In Block B, Gabe Kidd, we mentioned in a previous episode, is out of the tournament due to what
06:07they believed was a torn MCL.
06:09It turns out that it is a hyper-extension, but out of a concern and caution, they did not
06:16want him to participate in the tournament.
06:17Instead, pulling him from the tournament, the theory is that, you know, he would have had
06:21to make it through the semifinals and get to the final to really have a purpose to take
06:26a chance on hurting himself even worse.
06:27So better to pull him out now and put him in later after the tournament's over, give
06:33him something else to work with, and let somebody else have that opportunity to showcase.
06:37Now, the only thing that kind of sucks is all of his opponents automatically get a victory
06:43against him as a forfeit in the tournament, in the round robin, which kind of, in a weird
06:48way, benefits the B Block over the A Block, because the A Block's got to wrestle nine matches
06:52once against each one of the other people in your block, whereas the other side only has
06:56to wrestle eight, but, I mean, look, it's wrestling, you know what I mean?
07:00You know, we can make these things work, we always do, we'll find a way.
07:04Closely aligned with New Japan Pro Wrestling, and let's be honest, in the tournament, one
07:08of the big stars of the tournament is Konosuke Takeshka, who is an AEW star.
07:13And AEW in the news this week to Tony Khan, having a conversation about what his plans are
07:19in the future, he was on the WrestleFriends podcast, related to AEW Dark, remembering
07:25when they launched the company back 2019 and things of that nature, Dark was a great opportunity
07:31to showcase new talent, up-and-coming talent, big debuts, and then eventually, along the
07:35way, collision came into the equation.
07:37When Warner Brothers Discovery negotiated the latest contract, it was one of those things
07:41where they didn't feel they needed AEW Dark, but he did mention he would love to bring
07:47back Dark, he said, I would love to do that, I think I has to.
07:50The thing is, and he's very clear about this, it has to make sense with our media partners.
07:56It says, when we launched AEW Collision, which is such an important part of AEW TV every week,
08:02we really had this great opportunity to go into a new media rights package, and it's the
08:06lifeblood of AEW.
08:07So it sounds like he would love to bring Dark back, probably in short order, but has to do
08:12what's in the best interest of their broadcasting partner, makes sense.
08:15Though, if you were Warner Brothers Discovery getting the kind of ratings that they claim
08:19to be getting on their streaming platform, you would think every program that is AEW-branded
08:25you want to put together, even if it was just on the streaming platform, that would be a
08:28great idea.
08:29So I see no reason not to do it, but again, we'll have to wait and see how things play
08:34out.
08:34Another AEW tidbit, Hook, who has been out for quite a while due to injury.
08:38It turns out he had a concussion that has kept him out of action for a significant period
08:42of time.
08:42He did appear briefly at AEW Double or Nothing 2025 after being out for several weeks in
08:49the Anarchy in the Arena match.
08:52He attacked Claudio Castagnoli, and it looked like there may have been something about to
08:57go down with him and Samoa Joe, which is odd considering they're, you know, buddies,
09:01same faction and whatnot.
09:02But Fightful Select has a report out there that there is no date for Hook's return.
09:06He is still not medically cleared.
09:08The reason for the Double or Nothing appearance was to kind of plant the seeds for storylines
09:14coming in the future.
09:15So it's very cool that they're kind of future booking and thinking these things through,
09:19really trying to figure out what they want to do long term with Hook.
09:22He obviously has had the opportunity to really participate in some big feuds already in his
09:27young career.
09:28He is potentially one of the pillars going forward of their company.
09:32A lot of conversation about how many talents have come in and out and whatnot from WWE to
09:37AEW and then back again.
09:39Hook is somebody who has no prior WWE affiliation.
09:43So if Tony Khan wants to strap a rocket to him and take it off, you know, they can do that.
09:48It's a homegrown talent as opposed to some of the other guys who've come in from WWE from
09:53time to time who may not always show the same level of loyalty that somebody you would think
09:58that Hook would because this is the company that gave him his first opportunity, his first
10:02big break.
10:03So definitely something to keep an eye on.
10:05I'm very interested to see how they would potentially book a feud between Hook and Samoa Joe.
10:12But that's hopefully a long way down the road and we'll have to see how things go.
10:16So Drew McIntyre in the news, switching gears a little bit.
10:20SummerSlam, we talked the previous episode, he is kind of stuck in the United Kingdom right
10:24now.
10:24Did not bring his U.S. passport and he's being held up and not able to get back.
10:28Some people thought this was storyline.
10:30Various media outlets are insisting that this is legitimate, that he's not been able to get
10:35home yet.
10:37Someone did say there is a quote that WWE has quote unquote wheels in motion for alternative
10:44plans.
10:45There's a report from WrestleVotes that they said, I spoke with a source who tells me wheels
10:49are in motion for alternative plans in the event Drew McIntyre is unable to get back to
10:53SmackDown this Friday in New Jersey.
10:55What that means for his tag team match against Jelly Roll and Randy Orton at SummerSlam is
10:59yet to be determined.
11:00What a strange situation.
11:02You would think there would have to be an easy, I mean, let's be honest, it's been days.
11:06You could have gone to his house and put his American visa in a FedEx envelope and gotten
11:13it to him by now.
11:13You know what I'm saying?
11:14Like, this is kind of ludicrous that we're waiting this long to find out what they're
11:18going to do with this match, which is a high profile match with a major celebrity booked
11:24for the show.
11:25You really need to know what you're doing going forward.
11:28On the heels of all the festivities leading into SummerSlam, the other conversation piece
11:33is Gunther talking about, and there's a quote, maybe there's a chance that he gets the opportunity
11:39to face John Cena this year.
11:42On Radio Times, he claimed that he hopes to face John Cena in the ring before his retirement.
11:48He said, quote, it's great for him that he is able to do that and say, this is the way
11:53I want to finish it and the way I want to go out.
11:55That's a great way to do it.
11:56If somebody deserves it, then it's him.
11:58It's good to have him back around.
12:00Obviously, I have not interacted with him or seen him much because he's on SmackDown
12:03mostly, but who knows?
12:05There's still a long time left, so maybe there's a chance to get in there with him before he
12:08hangs it up.
12:09He's a guy that everybody knows.
12:11It's like what Hogan was in the 90s.
12:13If you know wrestling, you know John Cena.
12:15It also shows the love and passion he has for the business.
12:18He doesn't need to do it.
12:19He's financially got bigger fish to fry with his movies, and he's a made man already,
12:23so there's no pressure for him to do all of that.
12:25But he decided to invest a whole year into this.
12:28It's a very classy way for someone like him to go out and have his one year of giving back
12:32and do it one more time.
12:34I would love to see it.
12:36I really think this is the kind of match that, much like the Goldberg match, except that John
12:42Cena has always been much more athletic than Goldberg, I think Gunther could get something
12:46really special out of John Cena.
12:48We've mentioned this in a previous episode a few weeks back.
12:51Curious to see where that goes from there.
12:53I would not be surprised if that ended up being the last match in John Cena's retirement
13:00tour.
13:01I really think that that might be exactly what WWE needs to do to really pop the crowd.
13:07Look, if you think about it, if Cena puts him over on his way out the door, you've made
13:13Gunther tenfold.
13:16You really have.
13:17The biggest name in the business for the last decade and a half, and he's the one who puts
13:22him away, I think that would be absolutely fantastic.
13:25I think it would be great for business, and I would really, really be interested in seeing
13:29that.
13:31But again, we'll have to wait and see.
13:33There's a lot going on heading into this weekend, and I think once we get through this
13:37weekend and the two-night SummerSlam, we may have a better idea, a better sense of where
13:42things are going, especially with people like Karrion Kross and Scarlett, whose contracts
13:47have been highly debated.
13:49He was out today, Fightful Select, putting out a quote from Karrion Kross saying, I don't
13:53think I should talk about any of it right now, but I'm hoping that when the time is right,
13:57everyone will know what's going on, including us.
14:00Not sure what that means.
14:02It could mean that he already has a contract, and he's playing to the crowd and doing what
14:06he does with social media.
14:07It could mean that he really doesn't have a new contract yet, and here he is in a premium
14:11match at SummerSlam, kind of following the modus operandi of WWE.
14:16Here's a guy whose contract is coming due.
14:18Let's give him a push to encourage him to sign again, and then we'll just forget all about
14:21him.
14:21I hope that doesn't happen.
14:22I think the fans love him right now.
14:24So we'll have to wait and see how things play out, but you just never know.
14:30I've been dodging some of this conversational stuff all week because, you know, how emotional
14:34last week was for some of us with the loss of Hulk Hogan, but there are some things we
14:38have to get to.
14:40Good, bad, ugly, in between, all points.
14:42Let's start with this.
14:43Current WWE superstar slamming fans who honor Hulk Hogan, telling him to do the research
14:49and posting the rant video where Hogan was making some of the disparaging remarks that
14:56he had made previously that are so notorious at this point.
14:59The WWE talent is Jamar Hampton.
15:03He has been on LFG.
15:06He's been on Evolve.
15:08This young man, he's looking to make a name for himself in the business, and I can respect
15:13the fact that he is not a fan of the things that have been said.
15:19All right?
15:19I get that.
15:20I do.
15:21My concern here is I have watched all episodes of LFG, and I think the kid has a lot of opportunity,
15:27a lot of promise, certainly needs to work on some of his in-ring work, but I think he's
15:31doing a great job.
15:33My concern is that with him coming out being so strong about this that he could be gaining
15:42some heat in the back, because obviously this is something that WWE did not put into his
15:48social media feed.
15:49It's not something they were looking to do.
15:51If anything, they've done three tributes to the guy.
15:54You know what I mean?
15:54It's not one of these things where they were like, okay, we're going to put tributes on
15:57and then we want you to go out and trash talk.
15:59No, that's not the case.
16:01This guy did this on his own social media.
16:02He included a YouTube link to the audio and captioned the post with what the caption says,
16:07is this really who we should be celebrating?
16:09Do your research.
16:10And it's the Hulk Hogan racist audio, 2016 leak and transcript.
16:15It's deep stuff.
16:17And like I said, I've said this before in the previous two episodes.
16:19You can feel any way you want to feel about this.
16:21I'm not here to judge anyone.
16:23Who am I?
16:25But you have to wonder.
16:26And this kid is not the only one.
16:28The ex-ESPN analysts are coming out.
16:31Some of them, Bomani Jones says Hulk Hogan never had a legacy.
16:35Now, I'm not going to go that far.
16:36I don't think this guy has a clue what he's talking about.
16:38I don't know him.
16:40Okay?
16:40Look, it's one thing to say he tarnished his legacy because of these horrible things that
16:46have come out of his mouth.
16:47And I would have no problem with that.
16:48Um, he has the right time with Bomani Jones is his, is his, uh, YouTube show.
16:53Um, he has a quote in here.
16:54Why do people love Hulk Hogan so much?
16:56And I have spent the last 96 hours and change trying to come up with an answer to that question.
17:01I don't have it.
17:02Well, we all had, and it says, we all and everything I read stipulated that he was a
17:07giant, enormous pop culture figure and that he was the most famous of all the wrestlers.
17:11I didn't see anything I thought gave a real explanation as to why it was that this guy
17:16was, was that popular and that famous, right?
17:19Because the thing is, you got to win over your block before you can win over your region
17:22before you can win over your country, before you can win over your world, right?
17:25In this case, I'm called, I'm using the block as being a wrestling, like he had to win over
17:30wrestling to move into this bigger world of pop culture fate, right?
17:33How exactly he won over wrestling?
17:37I mean, the wrestling fans, not the, uh, machinations of wrestling business, right?
17:42Just winning over and becoming such a popular wrestling fan.
17:44Vince can't make you like, make you like who you like or not like who you want to like.
17:51Like it doesn't work that way, right?
17:52Those crowds, they who love the Hulkster were real.
17:55We all acknowledge that he was a bad wrestler.
17:57Okay.
17:57Right.
17:58We all generally stipulate that he was a bad wrestler and the majority of the wrestling
18:01really popular wrestlers are good wrestlers.
18:03He wasn't exactly the coolest wrestler.
18:05I mean, he ain't no Ric Flair, right?
18:07We also wind up with that part.
18:08He's not really the, uh, that guy and low key.
18:11His character was a little bit corny, right?
18:14The training prayers and vitamins, even though we found out the vitamins, you couldn't buy
18:17them in stores.
18:18You know what I'm like, he's out there telling you to take vitamins to get big as me.
18:22Meanwhile, he put his pants down, putting his booty out, right?
18:25We know things about Ric Flair that aren't so great.
18:28When Ric Flair dies, we're not going to break out and break them out like that.
18:31It doesn't land the same.
18:33Like as much as people like me love Ric Flair, there's something different about Hulk Hogan
18:37just landed completely different with Hulk Hogan.
18:39Again, it's hard to have a legacy when what we know, what we know you for is play fighting.
18:44There's no substance there.
18:46Okay.
18:46Like what is the rock's legacy?
18:48Does the rock have a legacy?
18:49He's a very entertaining play fighter.
18:51Like that's, that is not, that's not mean what you have a legacy, right?
18:55So this guy sounds like he's implying that there's no legacy there because it's play
19:00fighting, which he goes on with this fandom about Ric Flair.
19:02Ric Flair was a play fighter too.
19:04And look, I'm so tired.
19:06Ready?
19:06Here comes me getting fired up.
19:07Ready?
19:07I need to try to keep myself in check, but he goes into this whole tirade and he throws
19:11in about him being a bad wrestler.
19:12Let's be honest, right?
19:14Let's go down some of, now I'm not talking about your, your Mount Rushmore of like technical
19:18mega stars like Shawn Michaels, Ric Flair, Ricky Steamboat, that kind of stuff.
19:22Big, big names.
19:23Andre the Giant.
19:24Was he fantastic catches, catch can wrestler?
19:26Absolutely not.
19:26The Big Show?
19:27Absolutely not.
19:28Triple H, super technical, but he wasn't the biggest star.
19:32Hulk Hogan, you ever, did this guy ever watch matches that he had in New Japan Pro Wrestling
19:37when he's doing drop toe holds and, and wrist locks into, you know, kickups and all that
19:41kind of stuff?
19:42No, he doesn't have a clue.
19:44And I question how old this guy is.
19:46Because let me, I'll be honest with you, unless you lived through 1984, 85, 86, 87, 88,
19:5289, 90, 91, 92, you don't have a right to be speaking about this like you know anything
19:59because it's not about facts and figures.
20:01It's not about dates in a yearbook, in a, in a, in an almanac.
20:04It's about the emotion you felt when it happened.
20:07He clearly wasn't a fan when this happened.
20:10I don't even know who this guy is and I don't really care.
20:12This channel, I go all out of my way to try not to be controversial.
20:17Hulk Hogan is controversial.
20:19Hulk Hogan said some disgusting, irreprehensible things about people that he never should have
20:25said.
20:25I will never justify that.
20:27Does it tarnish his legacy?
20:29Absolutely.
20:30Does he still have a legacy?
20:32Absolutely.
20:32Does The Rock, like he mentions The Rock, does The Rock have a legacy?
20:35Absolutely.
20:36Ric Flair?
20:37Absolutely.
20:38They all do.
20:39You know what the legacy is?
20:40They entertain millions and millions of fans around the world in a way that transcended
20:47their niche and became mainstream.
20:50When you look around the world, you don't see people showing up to WWE shows wearing the
20:58same number of, say, Neymar jerseys as you see people showing up to soccer events wearing
21:04NWO or Hulk Hogan or any other kind.
21:06You don't see Lionel Mezzi going to hype up the wrestlers backstage at a wrestling show,
21:12but Ric Flair shows up at almost every NFL team and hypes them up.
21:16Hulk Hogan was doing that too for a while.
21:19The guy clearly has a jaded opinion and he's entitled to it because what he said on that
21:25recording we mentioned earlier is heinous and other things he's done.
21:28The lying, the embellishing.
21:29I get all of that, but that has nothing to do with the fact that this is a guy that the
21:35only reason this guy can even speak about Ric Flair right now is because of Hulk Hogan.
21:39The only reason this guy has a conversation about The Rock is because of Hulk Hogan.
21:43Because let's be honest, and I said this in a previous episode, the NWA, Ric Flair, all
21:47those guys, they were not killing it back in the day.
21:50They were struggling.
21:52Were they making money for a short while?
21:53Well, yes, in 1987, they started losing money, which is why they were sold to Ted Turner when
22:00he purchased the NWA.
22:02I apologize.
22:03He didn't buy the NWA.
22:04He purchased the intellectual property and created world championship wrestling.
22:09Anyways, I could go on about this forever.
22:12Let's move on because it's driving me crazy.
22:14Speaking of Ric Flair, Ric Flair coming on Ariel Helwani's show, talking about a variety of
22:18topics, including why at WrestleMania 8, there was no match between he and Hulk Hogan.
22:24His quote here says, I don't know the answer to that.
22:26I'll tell you what I think.
22:27I don't think Hulk wanted to leave on a losing note, which I totally understand because who
22:31I am after what he's done for the company.
22:33And number two, I don't think maybe they thought it would draw like it should.
22:37I have no idea.
22:38The one thing that I know for sure is that I never, ever got over in New York.
22:42Ric Flair referencing the fact that no matter how big his star power was in NWA, WCW, or pick
22:48whatever way you want to refer to it, he just never reached that same level of success when
22:53he went to WWE 1990, 91-ish, time frame, 91.
22:57And that's true.
22:58I get it.
22:59I understand it.
22:59But there have been many people who theorized that they did these test runs and house shows
23:05in local markets, did a whole loop, and they just weren't feeling the reactions they were
23:10getting, which caused Vince to change course and go a different direction.
23:13But that's that match at WrestleMania that we all thought and all dreamt about having,
23:17and it just never came to fruition.
23:19On the ongoing topic of Hulk Hogan, we actually have to shift gears a little bit into his daughter
23:25Brooke.
23:26A lot of things about Brooke this week.
23:28One, it came out that she had been removed from his will, was not interested in any of
23:32his money, which is interesting.
23:34She didn't want to get in the middle of any drama.
23:36Then it came out that she put a beautiful eulogy out to her father.
23:40One of the quotes in her says, his hugs were my home.
23:43Very supportive of her father, understanding that there was a lot of personal stuff she's
23:47not going to go into, but that they had been working through the last couple of years.
23:50Basically focused on her concerns about other people taking advantage of him in business
23:55dealings and other situations.
23:57And that was something that was of concern to her.
23:58But it was a beautiful eulogy.
24:01And then following it up that, unfortunately, it sounds like WWE never invited her to the
24:06tribute shows, which I have no idea how that could possibly be the case.
24:11Absolutely terrible.
24:12She put it on her Instagram story, she said, for those of you giving me crap for not attending
24:15dad's tributes, WWE did not extend an invite, which that just blows my mind.
24:20And she's not the only one.
24:22Shockingly to me, Linda Hogan, the former wife, the former spouse of Hulk Hogan, talks about
24:28him very positively.
24:30She says she never moved on from Hulk Hogan.
24:32Several quotes, she was on Instagram, she put up, I had no idea he passed away this soon.
24:38We all thought he would make a comeback.
24:40Big surprise.
24:40We're all devastated.
24:41It hit me so hard.
24:42She said later, I loved Hulkster more than he loved me.
24:45It hurt when he cheated, but he was so famous.
24:47I sort of understood, but it was crushing.
24:49It hurt.
24:49I never got over him or started a real relationship with anyone.
24:53I missed him.
24:54She said, I've been weeping all day.
24:56The finality is just shocking.
24:59We spent every minute together for so many years.
25:01I've known him since I was 20.
25:02He was 28 years old.
25:03I was 22.
25:04I still love him.
25:05Even though I never spoke or saw him, Nick did.
25:07And Nick would tell me things and vice versa.
25:09Just the news about life.
25:10I still felt, although broken, we were still a family.
25:13It's so hard to know.
25:14He's just gone.
25:15I tried to stay strong for Nick, but I'm melting down.
25:18It's very sad.
25:19I love you, Hulkster.
25:20You were my man.
25:21The only man for me.
25:22R.I.P.
25:23What a, it's shocking when they have such an ugly divorce and all the stuff they went through
25:28to hear that, but it's also beautiful in a way.
25:31It means everything they had, I feel like it was real, at least for her.
25:34I actually suspect it was for him as well, but definitely seems like it was for her.
25:38Now, I'm not going to crap on the fact that she says she never moved on to anybody else
25:41and there was pictures and video of her with another dude, but obviously not at the level
25:46that she had with Hulk Hogan.
25:48And so, you know, prayers out to her.
25:50She's obviously going through morning.
25:51Same thing with Brooke, Nick, all of the Hogan family.
25:55And oddly enough, Vince McMahon in the news also, because he had a serious car accident.
26:01Apparently, same day as the Hulk Hogan news broke, he was involved in a crash in Connecticut.
26:09TMZ Sports reported that, you know, he was driving his 2024 Bentley northbound on Route 15
26:15in Westport, and he rear-ended the 2023 BMW 430 and then struck a wooden beam guardrail
26:21in the median.
26:22The person who he hit has come out and given a really interesting statement.
26:26It almost sounded like it was something put together for reality television, but whatever.
26:31It is what it is.
26:31I'm not here to trash anybody.
26:32It just seemed very strange.
26:35It deployed all the airbags.
26:37Fortunately, nobody was, like, seriously injured, but he is being cited for this.
26:42So, and apparently he has a history of being a horrible driver.
26:45So, hey, you know, who knows?
26:47But odd that it was the same day as Hogan's situation.
26:50Very, very strange.
26:51Keeping with the legality news, because how can you segue to anything other than that?
26:57Former WWE superstar Duke the Dumpster Drosy has his court appearance next month in his legal
27:04battles, for those who don't know, he has been accused of attempted, aggravated sexual exploitation
27:11of a minor.
27:12He apparently was trying to purchase material that was very aggressive and very inappropriate
27:18with minors in April 2024.
27:21And apparently was not successful in acquiring that material, thank God.
27:25But the intent was there, and he was still found to be, have enough evidence there to bring
27:31charges against him, how horrible, you know, not, I'm not, in full transparency, I'm not
27:38saying for him, for anybody who is affected by this, to have someone in that situation be
27:44open to that stuff, just blows my mind.
27:46I don't understand why people do what they do.
27:48It's absolutely disgusting.
27:50Let's get off all this deep stuff.
27:51Let's get into some more fun stuff, okay?
27:53Last part of the show tonight is probably the most important part of the show.
27:55It is prediction time.
27:57WWE SummerSlam 2025, two nights, coming up in a couple days.
28:01Let's go down night one.
28:02Tiffany Stratton versus Jade Cargill.
28:05No surprises for me here.
28:06I'm going Jade Cargill the whole way.
28:09Wouldn't it be interesting for her to win this championship, for Rhea to win the other
28:12one, or for them to face off at Crown Jewel shortly?
28:15Or I think, I actually think it's in Perth, where they go for the Crown Jewel championship
28:18or whatever it is.
28:20I actually think Jade will win here, though there is a case to be made for Stratton to retain
28:25for other reasons if Bianca Belair ends up getting involved in some way and go and heal.
28:30But I'm going to save that for further down the pike.
28:33I'm going with Jade Cargill.
28:35Let's assume Drew McIntyre makes it back.
28:37Randy Orton and Jelly Roll versus Drew McIntyre and Logan Paul.
28:41This celebrity never loses.
28:42I'm going with Randy Orton and Jelly Roll.
28:44You just have to.
28:45It's just the way it is.
28:46And some people say, oh yeah, Logan Paul's a celebrity too.
28:48Yeah, he is.
28:49But he's more of a wrestler nowadays.
28:52He really is.
28:53I get it.
28:53He's got a channel and endorsements and all that kind of stuff.
28:55But he really, he was made for the wrestling business.
28:58Jelly Roll's the guest celebrity.
29:00They always win.
29:00So I'm going with Jelly Roll.
29:02We have Gunther versus CM Punk, the theorized main event for night one.
29:07This is a tough one for me, a really tough one.
29:09I think if Gunther keeps the championship, he can go on to defend that against John Cena
29:12if John Cena is no longer champion.
29:14I think if John Cena is going to stay champion and CM Punk wins this match, it opens the opportunity
29:19for either a Seth Rollins cash-in or other feuds going down the pike with, you know, people
29:24like Jey Uso or Braun Breaker or whatever.
29:28And this is hard.
29:29It's really hard.
29:30I think for me, what I think would make the most sense would be for, I can't believe
29:37I'm going to say this.
29:37I'm going to say Gunther retains the championship over CM Punk, even though Punk just lost to
29:43Cena for the WWE Championship.
29:44I hate to see him lose twice in a row in one of those types of matches.
29:47I don't know where we go with him after that, but Gunther's just over like Rover, so I'm
29:51going with Gunther.
29:53To Judgment Day, Raquel Rodriguez, Roxanne Perez defending against Charlotte Flair and
29:56Alexa Bliss.
29:58I just think it's time.
30:00Flair and Bliss just come together.
30:01They make a lot of sense.
30:03They seem to be very happy in that tag team, an RK-Bro kind of feel.
30:06And my prediction is Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss take the tag team championship.
30:10Sami Zayn, Karrion Kross covered that earlier.
30:13I think if Sami Zayn wins, which I think he will, and that's my prediction, it's because
30:17Karrion Kross may be leaving.
30:19If Kross pulls off a win, I think he's got a contract already in hand and just isn't telling
30:23anybody.
30:24That's just my opinion.
30:25But if Kross loses, he's probably leaving.
30:27If Zayn wins, but if Kross wins, he's definitely got a new contract.
30:31That's just my opinion.
30:33Roman Reigns, Jey Uso versus Bron Breaker and Bronson Reed.
30:36Wow.
30:37You know, there's only one way I see this going down.
30:41Reigns has not had a match since Mania.
30:44He lost at Mania.
30:45Can't lose two in a row.
30:46Reigns and Jey win by pinning Bronson Reed because you're not going to do anything to
30:50harm the character of Bron Breaker.
30:51You're just not.
30:52That guy is going to have the rocket ship like they were talking about on Unreal the
30:56other day with Jey Uso.
30:58So I think that's how that goes down.
30:59Night two, let's go through that.
31:01The tag team ladder match.
31:03I'm not going to list all the names.
31:04You know who they are.
31:05I'm sticking with the Wyatt Six to retain.
31:07I just, they just got the belts.
31:08You can't take them off them already or else that title really bounces around like a ping
31:11pong ball.
31:11And I hate that idea.
31:13Dominic Mysterio, AJ Styles, Intercontinental Championship match.
31:16I am pulling.
31:18Oh gosh, this is a tough one for me.
31:21If I see, we haven't had the Finn Balor match yet.
31:23We haven't.
31:24And I feel like we have to have that for the title.
31:26But then again, Mysterio is going to challenge for the Mega Championship and they are trying
31:29to get that brand over.
31:30But he could lose to AJ here and then win the Mega Championship and he still has gold
31:35for the Judgment Day.
31:36Something that can bring Balor to AAA.
31:38Oh man, I'm going with Dominic Mysterio to retain.
31:43I can't believe I just said that.
31:45Sola Sokoa, Jacob Fatu, Steel Cage Match, United States Championship.
31:49I am Jacob Fatu all the way.
31:51Even if we see a returning Tama Tonga, maybe we see a debuting Zilla Fatu or somebody else
31:55in the family, a Journey Fatu or something.
31:58But I really think this is where you could give it to Jacob Fatu to get it back.
32:01That's probably why they took it off him in the first place.
32:03Even though I think Sola Sokoa is doing the best work he's ever done right now.
32:07Becky Lynch, Laira Valkyria for the Women's Intercontinental Championship.
32:10No disqualification, no countout, last chance match.
32:13I think this is where we see Bayley come to the aid of Becky Lynch, turn heel, and help
32:20Becky retain the Women's Championship.
32:22My prediction is Becky retains because of Bayley.
32:27The triple threat, Naomi, Rhea, Io.
32:30Io has always beaten Rhea.
32:31Rhea has never beaten Io.
32:33We're not going to have Rhea beat Io here.
32:35But we also can't take that belt off of Naomi.
32:37This is her big run.
32:38She wants to start a family.
32:40Naomi is going to retain.
32:42Rhea Ripley is going to hit a riptide on Io.
32:44I think this is a popular opinion many people have.
32:46Rhea is going to hit the riptide on Io.
32:48Naomi is going to throw her out of the ring and steal the pin.
32:50That's what's going to happen.
32:51We're going to see Rhea do something later in the year.
32:53But this sets up Naomi as one champion, Jade as the other.
32:57And we can have that match that we thought was going to happen when Naomi was going to
33:01cash in this night.
33:02We can have that now for the Crown Jewel Championship.
33:04I think that's a great idea.
33:06And the main event, night two, John Cena, Cody Rhodes for the WWE Championship.
33:10I'm sorry.
33:11I don't know where to go with this.
33:13This is tough.
33:14I don't want to see the double turn yet.
33:15I want to see Cody stay face.
33:18Does The Rock show up?
33:19Oh my gosh.
33:20I'm going with Cody Rhodes wins the WWE Championship so that John Cena is freed up to work with Gunther,
33:27who I predicted earlier, to retain his championship.
33:30Cody Rhodes can go on to have that feud with Randy Orton.
33:34They teased that after their match earlier this year.
33:38Cena has other things he can do.
33:39And this heel turn just hasn't worked.
33:41This way you can get Cena back to be in the baby face that the fans want him to be.
33:45And we can just move on and close out his career in a much more positive way.
33:49That's all the time we have for this episode.
