02:55Tonight, we're going to cover a few things.
02:57We're going to react to SmackDown.
02:58We're going to talk predictions for Clash in Paris, and the rest of the day's news.
03:03Got to get started with SmackDown.
03:05Pretty solid show.
03:06Opening the show with Logan Paul and John Cena.
03:08A fantastic back-and-forth verbal, in my opinion.
03:12John Cena schooled Logan Paul in this promo.
03:15Cena was Cena of old.
03:17He really hit all the points.
03:19He did a great job of making it very clear that despite the fact that this is the farewell tour,
03:25John Cena can still bring it when he needs to.
03:28He was on top of his game.
03:29Logan Paul, clearly super, super talented performer.
03:32Somebody that I really can't wait to see how far they take him.
03:36And look, I get it.
03:37The guy's got a controversial past, but when it comes to his wrestling and everything he's done in WWE since arriving,
03:42he has been fantastic.
03:43One of the best on the roster.
03:45And I think at this point in time, this is exactly where you want him.
03:48And look, when you were looking at the John Cena farewell tour, I think a Logan Paul match was nowhere on the bingo card.
03:52I think this situation has become absolutely phenomenal.
03:58And it's something that's really strategically positioned Logan Paul in a place where he can really contribute at a high level with somebody on their way out the door.
04:05Who better to get a rub from than John Cena?
04:07Once we get done with the John Cena conversation, we move into the Alexa Bliss with Charlotte Flair versus Chelsea Green with Alba Fire.
04:16And the match itself, pretty solid.
04:18I really hope at some point Alba Fire is given the opportunity to do everything that we know she's capable of doing as a singles competitor for now.
04:26Doing a fantastic job with everything Chelsea Green.
04:29In this match, Alexa Bliss is going to pick up the win.
04:32I always love that Simon Miller calls it the most devastating move in professional wrestling, the surprise roll-up.
04:39I think people use it far too often.
04:41But it worked in this situation after the match.
04:44Blindsiding Bliss with a superkick from Alba Fire.
04:47The beatdown is on.
04:48Flair comes out to break things up.
04:51And unfortunately, Flair gets taken down as well.
04:54Unprettier to Charlotte.
04:56And it is just a great layout.
04:58I think it's good because it builds some credibility for Chelsea Green and her people.
05:03I love that.
05:04We go from there to Meechan versus Kiana James.
05:06What a waste of time.
05:07I understand it furthers the bigger narrative, which is with Julia.
05:11I don't think anybody believes that Meechan can take the championship from Julia, even though she's very talented.
05:16And I would have no problem talent-wise allowing her to do that.
05:19But WWE has not built her up to be a credible opponent for any championship right now.
05:24Maybe if they had given it to her instead of Chelsea Green to begin with, not that I'm upset about that.
05:28Because I think Chelsea Green deserved the run with the championship as the first one ever.
05:32But shortly after, had she won it then, might have done something much better.
05:36Instead of the situation where they transitioned the championship to Zelina Vega.
05:41Instead, had it gone to Meechan then, I would say she would have been built to be a credible challenger here.
05:46But right now, I don't see any chance for her to be taken seriously.
05:49We go from there into the Drew McIntyre-Randy Orton face-off.
05:52Got very physical.
05:53I think this is great, keeping the guys apart as much as possible.
05:56Clearly, the match is coming.
05:58It should be a fantastic feud.
06:00Obviously, it ties into the Cody Rhodes narrative as well, where McIntyre has become notorious for sharing the truth.
06:07He speaks the truth.
06:08And clearly, Cody was thinking about the things he was saying in reference.
06:12I apologize.
06:13Randy Orton thinking about the things he was saying in reference to Cody and their friendship.
06:17And how Cody, at some point down the line, this has got to lead to a match.
06:21I would suspect WrestleMania maybe before then, but I hope not.
06:25That is the match I want to see for Mania is Cody versus Randy Orton.
06:28But definitely laid the seeds here, which is fantastic.
06:31It's a great idea to have that set up so well and furthering their own storyline.
06:35From there, we jump into the Tag Team Championship No. 1 Contenders match.
06:41We see the Street Profits with B-Fab taking on Carmelo Hayes and The Miz.
06:46Again, I don't know why you put Carmelo Hayes and The Miz in this position if you weren't going to make them the ones to win the match.
06:52Especially since there's a tie-in in terms of how these guys have been presented.
06:57The Tag Team Champions being the Wyatt Six.
06:59And people like The Miz.
07:00The Miz is very similar, I think, in terms of the Wyatt Six to how they treated Chad Gable.
07:05That, I think, would have been more compelling.
07:07The Street Profits, I get it.
07:08They're a fantastic tag team.
07:09They've been there before.
07:11I just think Carmelo Hayes and The Miz would have been better for the match with Wyatt Six.
07:14They can lose and it doesn't hurt anybody.
07:16But it could give Carmelo a chance to shine.
07:18But whatever, we're not going that angle.
07:21In this match, Street Profits pick up the win.
07:23They are going to face off against the Wyatt Six.
07:25The Wyatt Six have a stare down with the Profits in the ring.
07:27And it was all perfect.
07:29It led us into our main event, which is Solo Sokoa with the MFT defending the United States Championship against Sami Zayn.
07:36And, of course, in the match, he's going to get some help from Jacob Fatou, from Jimmy Uso.
07:41Which is going to take care of all the outside interference.
07:44What I am not a fan of here is by taking out the outside interference.
07:48What you have effectively done is you have made J.C. Mateo and Tonga Loa look like they have nothing to offer.
07:55When they're both being taken out by Jimmy Uso, no disrespect to Jimmy Uso, he should not be able to take out two people.
08:01Especially somebody like J.C. Mateo by himself.
08:04I understand the Tala Tonga and Jacob Fatou thing.
08:07That makes a lot of sense to me.
08:09There needs to be another guy on the babyface side of things here.
08:12I'm shocked that it wasn't J.Uso already.
08:14I get it.
08:15He's in the championship match at Clash in Paris.
08:18But what are we doing here?
08:19There needs to be somebody else to balance the sides here.
08:21Is this match at Clash in Paris just something to buy time until he can then transition over to SmackDown?
08:27Rejoining his brother and balancing the odds here?
08:29I don't know.
08:30The finish of the match coming after all that outside interference and negating all that.
08:34Solo Sokoa going for the Samoan spike a couple times.
08:38Not being able to deliver it.
08:39Sami Zayn with an exploder.
08:41A missed spike.
08:42A couple of Huluva kicks and Sami Zayn wins for the first time the United States Championship.
08:47He is now one championship away from completing the Grand Slam.
08:51He needs a world championship.
08:53Some kind of world championship.
08:54I get it.
08:54There's a bigger Grand Slam.
08:56I'm talking about the one where you get at least a world championship.
08:59I see the United States.
09:01The tag team.
09:01He's done everything else.
09:02It's time for him to be considered for a world championship opportunity.
09:05Perhaps with Seth Rollins at Mania.
09:07We'll have to wait and see.
09:08But I thought it was a solid show top to bottom.
09:11I have no complaints.
09:12Especially as leading into Clash in Paris.
09:14They didn't mess with anything too too much.
09:17I think it's going to be a solid show tomorrow night as I'm recording this on Saturday night.
09:21But at the same time I think they did enough here that it didn't feel like Raw.
09:27Where Raw has become very repetitive.
09:29Same ending every week to the show.
09:31Not that we haven't seen a lot of Zayn and Solo.
09:35But this was a different ending in ways because we saw a title change.
09:38This wasn't some run in.
09:39I expected her to be a run in.
09:40I expected it to be a Schmazz ending.
09:42I expected this to lead to some match further down the line where Sami would finally get the championship.
09:46To change the championship here on SmackDown.
09:49Big stuff.
09:50Very happy to see that.
09:51Let's move away for a few moments from WWE.
09:53Let's go to the controversy of the week.
09:55Raja Jackson.
09:56Psycho Stu.
09:58The incident at Knox Pro.
09:59If you have been hiding under a rock somewhere.
10:02Didn't hear what's going on.
10:03I think we've all heard the short story.
10:06I'll report just briefly.
10:08Basically.
10:08I'll put it in my terms.
10:10You have a guy who's a professional wrestler in the back.
10:13Who sees someone show up with a camera crew.
10:15That person is Raja Jackson.
10:17Who has been invited to the show by somebody with the organization.
10:20He does not know that Raja Jackson is not a talent performing.
10:24This is a small indie company.
10:26It's not some big major promotion.
10:27It's not like they're going to sign exclusive contracts.
10:30I believe.
10:31This is just my assumption.
10:32That Psycho Stu made the connection.
10:35And thought Raja Jackson was a talent there to perform.
10:38And they do a whole thing where.
10:40And it's being live streamed on Raja Jackson's platform.
10:42They kind of get face to face.
10:44And it leads to Psycho Stu grabbing what appeared to be an empty or mostly empty beer can.
10:50And like wonking him in the head with a worked hit.
10:53It should not have hurt him at all.
10:55It should not have done anything to him at all.
10:57He was frustrated because he's not a talent.
10:59He was there as a guest I assume.
11:01Throughout the evening.
11:03Psycho Stu apologized countless times for the incident.
11:06Once he found out what was going on.
11:08Felt horrible about it.
11:09And they come up with the idea to use it as an angle in the show later that night.
11:13With Raja Jackson sitting ringside.
11:16At one point before the show.
11:18They never show him or anybody in the company going over what exactly he was going to do with Psycho Stu.
11:23But the understanding coming out of it is he was going to have an opportunity to get in the ring.
11:26Get his licks back.
11:28One of the wrestlers.
11:29And I'm not going to go with all the names.
11:31Because quite frankly I just don't care at this point.
11:33One of the wrestlers encourages him to give him a receipt.
11:36Basically you know get your licks back.
11:38But then on his stream.
11:39He talks about how he's going to wail on him until somebody pulls him off.
11:43And that's exactly what happens.
11:44He slides into the ring at a certain point.
11:46He picks him up.
11:47He slams him to the mat.
11:49Almost in like a Pearl River Plunge kind of thing.
11:52And his head bounces off the mat.
11:53He is either out or damn close to out.
11:56And then Raja just rains down the punches.
11:5921 punches is what I've been told.
12:01I've watched the video once.
12:02It's disgusting to me.
12:03I don't want to watch it again.
12:04And here's the thing.
12:05I've heard people argue about oh he's working the punches.
12:07He's pulling them through the beard and this and that.
12:09I don't want to hear it.
12:10A guy does not end up in the hospital.
12:12Who only regained consciousness this morning.
12:14And it has very little memory of the situation.
12:16That doesn't happen if they're worked punches.
12:18The guy was in critical condition all week.
12:22This is disgusting.
12:23This is something that should never have been allowed to happen.
12:25The company needs to be held accountable.
12:27The referee should have got between this nonsense.
12:29And literally UFC style shoulder tackled him off the guy if he had to.
12:33Where were the other wrestlers?
12:34Thank God there was a 17 year old kid who came into the ring to try to pull him off him.
12:38Which was not successful.
12:40Somebody else got in the ring and finally got him off.
12:41And he tried to double leg him as well.
12:43That guy ended up jacking him into the corner and giving him a headbutt.
12:46I wish that guy would have broken his neck.
12:48Okay.
12:48I'll say it.
12:49I wish somebody would have done to him what he was trying to do to Psycho Stu in defense.
12:53Because this was a disgusting display.
12:55Now I'm not wishing death on anybody.
12:57But I wish somebody would have hurt this guy.
12:58Because he was clearly trying to hurt somebody else.
13:01To me this is almost akin to attempted murder.
13:03This is ridiculous.
13:04He needs to have serious, serious police intervention.
13:07This guy needs to go away.
13:09I've seen the news.
13:10I've seen that his father, Rampage Jackson, former UFC fighter, UFC Hall of Famer, came
13:16out and was talking on behalf of his son.
13:18Saying his son's going through something.
13:19He had a concussion recently.
13:21He lost his mom and all that.
13:22I understand all of that.
13:23Nothing excuses what happened in that ring.
13:26Nothing.
13:27Nothing gives you the right to purposely try to hurt another human being.
13:30What's really disgusting to me.
13:32A California independent promotion.
13:34The promotion that I got.
13:35I want to make sure that I say it correctly.
13:38Danger Pro Wrestling in California is now apparently advertising that they're going to sign Roger
13:42Jackson to come in and do some dates with them.
13:45Who in their right mind would do that?
13:47Talk about a PR nightmare.
13:48This guy is potentially going to have serious criminal charges brought against him.
13:52And now you want to book him for an in-ring appearance sooner than anticipated?
13:56This is a problem.
13:57Okay?
13:58Whoever that company is, everybody should boycott that show.
14:01To me this is the kind of boycott you should have.
14:05Similar.
14:05Very similar to the kind of stuff.
14:07We have for the speaking out movement.
14:08This was clearly a purposeful, intentful attack on somebody.
14:14And this was meant to cause damage.
14:16And it was absolutely disgusting.
14:18And I hated everything about it.
14:19Now, the reality is, you know, I don't want to hear all these people talking about like
14:23working the business and knowing the business, the behind the scenes, all that kind of stuff.
14:27I don't want to hear that.
14:28It doesn't matter.
14:29He shouldn't have been there.
14:30A camera should not have been back in the locker room area at a professional wrestling event
14:34unless you're one of the guys working the show.
14:36That's part one.
14:37Part two, there is no way in heck anybody can convince me that that was a worked situation.
14:41That was a guy losing his cool.
14:43He needs consequences.
14:44I'm going to shut up now because I can go on about this for forever.
14:46Let's move on to Death Before Dishonor.
14:48Took place.
14:49Great show, Ring of Honor.
14:51There are a couple things that come out of the show that are very, very important.
14:54I can blow by a lot of the different things that happened.
14:57But the ones that I cannot go over, Shane Taylor Promotions.
15:02We know that Dustin Rhodes is going to be out for an extended period of time.
15:05Marshall and Ross Von Erich, the six-man tag team champions with Dustin Rhodes, had Sammy
15:09Guevara substitute in for Dustin Rhodes.
15:11They end up relinquishing and losing the six-man tag team championship to Shane Taylor Promotions,
15:17which is Shane Taylor, Charlie Bravo, and Captain Sean Dean.
15:21Great situation.
15:22That's a great team.
15:23They carry that banner for the six-man tag team division.
15:26Shane Taylor Promotions, a stalwart of Ring of Honor for years and years and years.
15:31When you look at Lee Moriarty, he's defending the Pure Championship.
15:38He ended up retaining his championship.
15:39Again, an AEW talent really getting an opportunity to shine on the Ring of Honor brand that normally
15:44does not get that same opportunity.
15:47We got to see Paul Walter Hauser in a match with QT Marshall in a fight without honor match
15:52where QT Marshall ended up picking up the win.
15:55Guevara pulled double duty because he's also the Ring of Honor tag team champions,
15:59and Dustin can't defend those either.
16:00So he brought out Roosh to be his partner, and they went against the Outrunners.
16:04And the reality is Guevara heel-turned here, teamed with Roosh,
16:08win the tag team championship, and then Marshall and Ross Van Eyre come out,
16:11and then they jumped them as well, clearly turning Guevara heel again,
16:15leading this obviously going to lead to a tag team match with the four of them.
16:19I think that's a fantastic situation.
16:21Ring of Honor World Championship match.
16:22Bandido retained his championship over Echicero from the Don Callis family.
16:27Again, an AEW talent getting a chance to showcase himself on Ring of Honor.
16:30And what I think is the most important, Athena, the current Ring of Honor women's champion,
16:34with Billy Starks, defeated Mina Shirakawa by pinfall,
16:37continuing her women's championship reign a thousand days, clearly in the books.
16:42What a great show.
16:43Ring of Honor, despite the fact that it's not AEW Prime Television, doing some great stuff.
16:49Moving in, it's back to some WWE stuff.
16:51They acquired AAA, and we have TripleMania coming up very, very soon.
16:55And when they get there, a main roster star has been announced for the show
16:59for the Mixed Tag Team Championship.
17:03Mr. Iguana is one half of the tag team champions with his partner, La Hydra.
17:09They're going to take on Lola Vice, main roster WWE.
17:11Well, I shouldn't say main roster, really NXT superstar.
17:14And Lince Dorado, already announced at the Show Center Complex for TripleMania.
17:19Should be fantastic.
17:20Maybe Lola Vice picks up some gold for the NXT brand.
17:25This would be great.
17:27And hopefully, at the next Worlds Collide, we'll see more of a presence.
17:31Not necessarily of AEW, or I apologize, WWE main roster stars.
17:35But of the NXT influence, just because it brings a breath of fresh air to some of that AAA stuff.
17:39A lot of those guys have been there for quite a long time.
17:42We need some fresh matches.
17:43But I don't want it to be too WWE heavy.
17:45I really don't.
17:45I want it to be one of those situations where there's a good sampling of WWE, NXT, or main roster talent
17:52just to help get over the AAA brand.
17:54But this, another match announced, should be great.
17:58Okay, so now we've covered all that.
18:01Let's get into the big conversation of the week.
18:04The Clash in Paris 2025 predictions.
18:07We have got Seth Rollins defending the World Heavyweight Championship in a four-way.
18:12And let's really cut through it.
18:16CM Punk can't win the championship.
18:18He just won it and lost it to Seth in a couple minutes.
18:20Not happening.
18:21Jey Uso can't win it.
18:22He had it.
18:23He lost it.
18:24He's on the downturn for whatever reason.
18:26Shouldn't be as popular as he is, but he is.
18:28And then you have LA Knight, who's just simply not in a position to be able to do this.
18:32They gave him the win over Seth before Seth's supposed injury.
18:35That was great.
18:36That's about as high as he's going to get.
18:37There is no chance at all, in my opinion, no other option.
18:41Seth Rollins wins this match.
18:43100% in on that.
18:45And I haven't even looked at the odds.
18:46I couldn't care less.
18:47Seth Rollins retains the World Heavyweight Championship.
18:50After that, we get to the good old-fashioned Donnybrook match.
18:53Sheamus versus Rusev.
18:56Look, I get it.
18:58When you're in Paris, you would think maybe Sheamus gets this one because it's kind of his style match.
19:03I would not do that.
19:04Now, I understand WWE at some point is going to have to get Sheamus back on that Intercontinental Championship run because they talked about it so many times.
19:11You can't just give up on it.
19:12The guy deserves it as long as he's been there and all he's done.
19:15So, I hope he does win just for that purpose.
19:17But I would not do that right now because Rusev's the guy who came back.
19:21Rusev has been on a tear.
19:22And Rusev deserves to be elevated, not held down.
19:25This is why he got frustrated, I think, in AEW.
19:28This is why he probably got frustrated in WWE.
19:29He starts to, like, skyrocket and then you put a ceiling on him.
19:34And I'm not saying Sheamus is a bad ceiling, but Rusev can do more.
19:38Put him in there with some bigger names.
19:39Heck, Rusev's aligning himself with, like, Seth Rollins or on SmackDown joining the MFTs would be interesting to me.
19:49A totally different layer.
19:50Going on his own and just being a bulldozer would be fantastic.
19:53I'm going to go against what a lot of people are saying.
19:55I was actually on Wrestling Inc. and they were very much in favor of Sheamus.
19:59I'm going the other way.
20:00I'm going with Rusev.
20:02From there we go to Becky Lynch defending the Intercontinental Championship against Nikki Bella.
20:08I think Nikki Bella coming back is a great feel-good story.
20:10Congratulations to her on being able to come back.
20:12A lot of people have not had the fortunate opportunity to come back to WWE and give it one last run or one more run.
20:20But in this situation, I don't see a way for Becky Lynch to lose.
20:23I think right now she has to retain.
20:26And for a unique reason for me, I think a lot of people wanted to see Bayley win the championship from her.
20:31I'm off of that train now.
20:32What I want to see is I'm over Natalya.
20:35I'm sorry.
20:35I'm over Natalya being Natalya.
20:38I listened to her on Busted Open Radio.
20:40One of the best promos that she's done is when she went essentially between characters of Natalya and Natty.
20:47And Natty is a more gruff, gritty, angry, motivated.
20:51And she described herself as like an 18-year-old vet with a rookie mentality.
20:57Like she has all that knowledge, but it's like the energy and the excitement of a first-year rookie.
21:01I love that.
21:02I would actually love for Natty to be the one to take the championship from Becky Lynch.
21:06I think that would be fantastic to, I don't want to say cap off her career because she's got plenty of time left if she chooses.
21:11But I really think she deserves that opportunity.
21:13So with that being said, I don't see any way for Nikki Bella to do it if you follow along my thought process.
21:18From there, John Cena, Logan Paul.
21:20After the promo at SmackDown, I want to be able to say what a lot of people are saying.
21:24John Cena 100% wins the match.
21:26John Cena should win the match 100%, no doubt in my mind.
21:29However, I firmly believe Brock Lesnar is going to show up to further the feud that they're going to have heading into WrestlePalooza.
21:38And I think that Brock Lesnar is going to cost John Cena this match.
21:42Logan Paul, I'm predicting, walks out with a win over John Cena.
21:45And I know it sounds insane, that's just what I feel.
21:48And then we have Bronson Reed taking on Roman Reigns.
21:52I think almost everybody is in favor of Roman Reigns winning this match.
21:55I have no problem with that.
21:57I just don't know where Roman Reigns fits right now.
21:59I know eventually it'll be with Seth Rollins.
22:01And it's weird because I really want Sami Zayn to win that championship from Seth Rollins at WrestleMania.
22:07But when you have Roman Reigns sitting there, that feels like a natural match at Mania as well.
22:13So I don't know how to do this.
22:14Do we do Seth and Roman early?
22:15Do we do something at Survivor Series, the Royal Rumble, and then get to Sami at Mania?
22:21I don't know.
22:22If we're going to push off Seth and Roman, you could have Reed win this.
22:26If you're going to do it sooner, I think Roman has to win this.
22:28And just because of my hope for Sami Zayn, I'm going to lean towards Roman Reigns winning this matchup.
22:35So that's going to be my official prediction.
22:37Roman Reigns defeats Bronson Reed.
22:40He wins back the Shuafala from the Tribal Thief.
22:43I laugh every time I hear somebody say that on commentary.
22:46I think that's freaking hilarious.
22:48But whatever, it is what it is.
