02:50Tonight, recapping the news in the world of Pro Wrestling for the day,
02:54starting with NXT going on tonight.
02:56Gotta be honest with you, loving the stuff with Jordan Grace and Blake Monroe.
03:00It kicked off the show.
03:02It's exactly what we're looking for from that feud.
03:04Two main roster level talents still in NXT
03:08and getting to see them work this program is just a thing of beauty.
03:12I think everybody is really itching to see the blow off from this program.
03:16Now the part that kind of hits me a little bit is,
03:18Jordan Grace is absolutely phenomenal
03:22and she needs to be on the main roster
03:24and until she gets done this feud, she can't be.
03:26At the same time, I really want her to beat Blake Monroe,
03:29but that's not usually how it goes down.
03:31Monroe, being the newer talent,
03:33will probably win the feud before Grace makes her main roster move,
03:37if that is indeed what is going to happen.
03:39At the same time, Monroe could also be headed to the main roster
03:43in a relatively quick order.
03:44So I don't know.
03:45This is a tough one to see,
03:46but I love that they kicked off the show,
03:48keeping that story moving forward
03:50and keeping people invested and interested in what they're doing.
03:53The rest of the show, there were a few things that really,
03:55really seemed to stand out to me.
03:57I love Chelsea Green coming out with her Canadian heritage
04:01to back up Ethan Page.
04:03I really love, I'm going to be honest with you,
04:05the highlight of the night for me is the interaction
04:07between Obafemi and Trick Williams.
04:11Clearly they've got the history talking about Obafemi in the past
04:14has always defeated Trick Williams.
04:16Trick Williams leading two brands wanting both championships.
04:19I love that they bring Javon Evans into the mix,
04:21and he's going to get an opportunity to mix it up with them as well.
04:24And then, of course, the crossover surprise.
04:26Once again, TNA superstar Moose comes out,
04:29and he is going to be the man that is going to be taking on Trick Williams.
04:33And he wants to make sure that he reminds him of that,
04:36did not get too comfortable because he's the man coming for him
04:39at the next TNA pay-per-view emergence.
04:43And this was done so well,
04:45I buy into a fatal four-way for the NXT championship,
04:49which would be a great way to take the championship from Obafemi,
04:52him not having to take a pinfall loss.
04:55I don't really want to see Trick Williams walk around with two belts.
04:58So then it takes you to,
05:00well, what if Moose were to win the NXT championship?
05:03He's bringing the NXT title to TNA,
05:05and the TNA title resides on an NXT superstar,
05:08where they could throw a funky bone into everything,
05:11put both championships on the line,
05:12and have somebody like Javon Evans walk out with both.
05:14I'd be okay with that too.
05:16But whatever they do,
05:17Dark State appearing and attacking all four of them,
05:20and actually getting laid out and knocked out of the ring,
05:22thought it was perfect.
05:23Really good stuff.
05:24So kudos to NXT tonight.
05:26They really are firing on all cylinders,
05:28and I really love what the things that they're doing.
05:30Got in to get into something,
05:32you know, whenever there's an up, there's a down.
05:34Some of the sadder news of the day.
05:36Of course, today was the day that legendary WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan
05:40was laid to rest in a private ceremony.
05:42And attending the funeral was just a who's who of wrestling royalty
05:48between Triple H, Stephanie McMahon was there,
05:51Ric Flair put out a beautiful note on X,
05:55where he described other people who were there,
05:58like Vince McMahon being in attendance,
06:00Dennis Rodman, Kid Rock, Bam Marghera.
06:04There was just a litany of people at the service,
06:08a who's who of the wrestling world.
06:10Really, really interesting stuff to see.
06:13So much love and support for Hulk Hogan after his passing.
06:16At the same time, what's really strange,
06:20Brooke Hogan calling into the Bubba the Love Sponge show,
06:24having a conversation.
06:26Then there's several things that came out of it.
06:30And one of the things was she basically cleared Bubba
06:35of any wrongdoing in the Gawker situation,
06:38because for years he was kind of taking the fall
06:40for being the one who leaked information
06:42about the Hulk Hogan sex tape and whatnot.
06:44And apparently she debunked a lot of that.
06:48Um, you know, she basically made it clear
06:50that this was not Bubba.
06:51This was, this was somebody else setting up the situation
06:54and that he has been wrongfully accused
06:56for all these years.
06:58I think the most shocking thing coming out
07:00of the interview with Bubba was that,
07:03I'll give you the quote.
07:04It says, for me, the no autopsy
07:06and the leukemia out of nowhere hits me as BS.
07:10Brooke Hogan does not believe in the leukemia diagnosis.
07:13I can't imagine why that would be put into there.
07:17I mean, her justification is a little strange.
07:20Um, she said she'd be surprised that a surgeon
07:22who would work on somebody with leukemia,
07:24um, see the high white blood count,
07:27all these things, all the surgeries had,
07:29how nobody would have picked up on this.
07:31Then again, you know, based on HIPAA stuff,
07:34she may not have been privy to that.
07:35And it's been well documented that the relationship
07:38between Brooke and her father the last couple of years
07:40has been very strange, strange.
07:42So maybe he wasn't telling her,
07:44maybe this is a, you know, only a two year situation.
07:47Um, but definitely a sad situation.
07:50And it's really a shame to see all this coming out,
07:53you know, post the, the passing of Hulk Hogan.
07:55But I guess it's, it's something we have to talk about.
07:58And of course that leads me to another thing
08:01we have to talk about.
08:02I was actually surprised it's taken this long
08:04to hear from Brett, the hit man heart,
08:06relating to passing of Hulk Hogan.
08:08And he had some interesting things to say.
08:10Um, he was doing an interview and question,
08:13you know, comments about, um, his passing and whatnot.
08:17And, um, he was on the mass man show
08:20and I'll read the quote to you.
08:21Cause it's, it's an interesting one.
08:22He says you can never deny what Hulk Hogan did.
08:25Like his footprint in the wrestling business
08:27will always be huge.
08:28Like maybe as big as it's ever going to get hard explained.
08:31Roddy Piper was one of the few guys that reached down
08:34and pulled me up to his level.
08:35He like, he, he like helped pull me up.
08:38Roddy Piper made me and contributed back
08:40to the next generation.
08:42But there was a lot of wrestlers that didn't do that.
08:44Hulk Hogan never did that for anybody.
08:46He never pulled anyone else up.
08:48It's interesting.
08:49He goes on to say Jake Roberts never did anything
08:51for anybody else.
08:52He only did for Jake Roberts.
08:54I look at Jake Roberts and I look at Hulk Hogan
08:56as just two guys.
08:57And I find that interesting because, you know,
09:00I won't say the Hulk Hogan pulled anybody up,
09:02but the giant was a brand new wrestler
09:04and Hogan got to work with him right away.
09:06And he became WCW world champion right away.
09:09When Goldberg was at his pinnacle,
09:11Hogan is the one who put him over
09:13and put the WCW championship on him.
09:15Um, if you look at the litany of wrestlers,
09:18look people, let's go all the way back.
09:20You know, 80, 84 on people like Kamala,
09:24King Kong Bundy.
09:26Um, heck even people like, uh, Adrian Adonis.
09:31Um, those are people who were always big in their territory,
09:36but never certainly a world heavyweight champion.
09:39And I can remember being a fan at the Philadelphia spectrum,
09:43watching matches between Hulk Hogan and Kamala,
09:46Hulk Hogan and adorable Adrian Adonis,
09:49Hulk Hogan.
09:50And, uh, you know, a litany, but King Kong Bundy,
09:53big John stud.
09:54These are people who never reached world champion status
09:57in any of the other territories they went to.
09:59I think the biggest thing,
10:00the biggest credit I can give to King Kong Bundy is
10:02he's the man who got the pleasure of being the last,
10:04uh, opponent for Fritz Von Erich during his first real retirement.
10:08Um, where he lost the America's championship to Fritz Von Erich.
10:11But in most of the places that King Kong Bundy went,
10:14he was an attraction.
10:15He was never a world championship contender
10:18and he headlined WrestleMania too.
10:19If that's not Hogan reaching down and pulling somebody up,
10:22I don't know what is.
10:23Think about other wrestlers he worked with.
10:25In the NWA,
10:27Big Bubba Rogers was just a bodyguard.
10:29When he comes to WWE and works with Hogan right away,
10:32he's in the main event as the big boss man.
10:35The one man gang,
10:37he was in UWF,
10:38won the UWF World Heavyweight Championship by forfeit,
10:40lost it shortly after to,
10:42uh,
10:43Steve Dr. Death Williams.
10:44So,
10:45I don't know how,
10:46if he was ever actually a world champion level guy,
10:48but he got to work a world championship program with Hogan
10:50as the one man gang,
10:52and then later on as Akeem.
10:54Um,
10:55Hulk Hogan didn't have to bring Randy Savage up to the level he did,
10:58but he did.
10:59Everybody Hogan worked with was bringing somebody up.
11:03He's the guy who put the ultimate warrior over clean at WrestleMania six.
11:07So did he reach down and help anybody?
11:10Absolutely.
11:11Okay.
11:12Is anybody who typically trashes the warriors in ring skill going to trash the
11:16fact that Hulk Hogan took a guy who most people claim had no in ring skill,
11:19gave him the best match probably of his career short of maybe the Rick Rude series.
11:23You know,
11:24that's reaching down and pulling somebody up.
11:26I think sometimes Bret Hart being so frustrated over 30 years ago when
11:30Hogan refused to drop the WWE championship back to him at SummerSlam
11:3393.
11:34I think Bret Hart kind of hangs onto that sometimes and lets it cloud his,
11:37his judgment in terms of,
11:39um,
11:40what's going on with,
11:41with,
11:42with Hulk Hogan the rest of his career.
11:43But,
11:44you know,
11:45it's,
11:46it's,
11:47it's hard.
11:48You know,
11:49you'll want to see these wrestlers holding grudges,
11:50but it's almost like that's what it is.
11:51It's almost like it's a grudge.
11:52Like,
11:53Oh,
11:54just like the Goldberg one.
11:55And then of course,
11:56the last thing I have to talk about tonight in terms of Hulk Hogan,
11:58TMZ is going to be releasing a documentary on the life of Hulk Hogan.
12:03And there are some premium names going to be involved.
12:05Interviews with Sylvester Stallone,
12:07Vince McMahon,
12:08Mick Foley,
12:09Bill Goldberg,
12:10Jimmy Hart,
12:11Alexa Bliss,
12:12Jacob Fatu,
12:13Charlotte Flair.
12:14It's a who's who of wrestling personalities and big stars,
12:18especially with people like Vince McMahon being involved.
12:20And,
12:21um,
12:22that's supposed to air August 12th,
12:23um,
12:24eight o'clock Eastern time on Fox.
12:26Um,
12:27that should be an incredible opportunity to take a,
12:30a different look at Hulk Hogan's contributions.
12:33Um,
12:34and I definitely will be looking forward to seeing that.
12:36I hope they,
12:37they do some really cool stuff with that opportunity.
12:39It's not going to be one of these Hollywood things.
12:40I,
12:41I'm still wishing they would have done the,
12:42the Hemsworth one,
12:43but you know,
12:44he can't have everything.
12:45Uh,
12:46let's move on to some more news today.
12:47Karrion Kross and Scarlett were not backstage at raw ahead of their contract expiring this coming weekend.
12:53Um,
12:54the putting up,
12:55I was on X and I saw an interesting post bump from Karrion Kross.
12:58It was a phone voicemail message,
13:01um,
13:02from Kevin Sullivan,
13:03former,
13:04uh,
13:05talent relations guy for AEW.
13:06Um,
13:07basically talking to him about how he doesn't understand why WWE doesn't see more in cross.
13:11He's got the look,
13:12he's got the mic skills.
13:13He's got the in ring ability.
13:14He should be a big,
13:16big star.
13:17He's encouraging him not to be,
13:18you know,
13:19not to feel down about his place in WWE and the great things are coming to him.
13:22I too don't understand other than something that is not crosses fault.
13:26The fact that they have created,
13:28I mean,
13:29his finisher sucks.
13:30This back elbow thing is just God awful terrible.
13:32It's killer cross.
13:33It's carrying cross.
13:34He should have some insanely powerful finishing hold.
13:39And I think that would be what they need to cap off the package,
13:41but that shouldn't be enough to hold them down,
13:43especially not with the groundswell of support coming from the wrestling internet community.
13:47So again,
13:48if WWE lets him walk,
13:50I'll be thoroughly shocked.
13:51I'm hoping this is a work,
13:53not a,
13:54a shoot.
13:55I'm hoping that either they already have signed extensions or they will soon.
13:59Um,
14:00but as of right now,
14:01if you follow along with all this stuff,
14:03um,
14:04you gotta have that sense that they may be leaving the company.
14:06And where do they go after there?
14:07Do they go to Japan?
14:08Do they go back to TNA?
14:09Do they reach out to Tony Khan and AEW?
14:11We'll have to wait and see.
14:13One of the biggest stories of the weekend,
14:16not just the Brock Lesnar return,
14:18but now the conversation about why now is the time to bring him back to WWE television.
14:23Fightful select reporting that the decision came from WWE's legal department in recent weeks.
14:28Uh,
14:29they confirmed previous reports that,
14:31you know,
14:32WWE legal had signed off on his return.
14:34The estimate is around four weeks ago.
14:36Um,
14:37Booker T was on his podcast and his opinion on the situation is,
14:42either Brock has been cleared of any wrongdoing or the Janelle Grant lawsuit could be coming
14:47to a conclusion,
14:48whether that's arbitration or whatever it is,
14:49a settlement.
14:50Um,
14:51we'll have to wait and see.
14:52There was a,
14:53a press release from Grant's team,
14:54um,
14:55that made it clear that the lawsuit's not going away.
14:57Um,
14:58but what we really need to think about here is no matter how you feel about the Janelle Grant lawsuit,
15:05I'm not here to take sides.
15:07Brock Lesnar's involvement in the entire conversation can be boiled down to one basic thing.
15:11He was contemplating cheating on his wife.
15:14Am I justifying it?
15:15Absolutely not.
15:16I think it's horrible for anybody that does that,
15:18but that's what he was about to do.
15:20And Vince McMahon was a very good personal friend of Brock Lesnar's.
15:24And Vince basically was trying to get him a hookup.
15:26That's the way they're going to look at it in court.
15:28It may not be how,
15:29you know,
15:30Grant's legal team wants to look at it.
15:31And of course they're going to pursue it as a much more serious thing because they,
15:34you know,
15:35traveled across state lines and that makes it trafficking and all that.
15:37But they are going to probably be implying that this was,
15:41she was a willing participant that Brock Lesnar is this world famous,
15:45world renowned UFC WWE guy or whatnot.
15:48And they were,
15:49it was just a hookup.
15:50Um,
15:51Vince McMahon has maintained the whole time that this was a relationship that she's upset about that went sour and whatnot.
15:55So I look,
15:56I wasn't there.
15:57I don't know what happened.
15:59What I know is from a legal standpoint,
16:01I don't know what you could possibly get Brock on to begin with.
16:03He's not even named in the lawsuit.
16:05So I'm not surprised.
16:07He is,
16:08he's,
16:09he's a figure in the lawsuit that is referenced,
16:11but he,
16:12there's no charges being brought against Brock Lesnar.
16:14So him coming back doesn't surprise me at all.
16:16And I think it's,
16:17it's an injection of life into WWE when I guess maybe they felt like they needed to,
16:23um,
16:25especially with all the stuff they got going on right now.
16:26Heck another report came out,
16:27uh,
16:28on the,
16:29uh,
16:30on,
16:31uh,
16:32Dave Meltzer's show where he was talking about,
16:33there was like another championship match that was planned for SummerSlam,
16:36that the idea of putting the world championship on Seth Rollins on night one was not,
16:43it wasn't a last minute thing.
16:44It was planned,
16:45but there were originally conversations about having him defend the championship night two against,
16:51um,
16:52LA night,
16:53like he did on Monday night raw.
16:54But for whatever reason,
16:56that seems to have gotten changed.
16:57Wrestling observer radio saying that they changed that over and decided to put it on raw instead with no advertising.
17:02But you know,
17:03according to Dave Meltzer,
17:04the match was always a schedule to happen with Seth defending against LA night this week.
17:08So it was planned several weeks beforehand.
17:10It's not something new.
17:12Um,
17:13interesting.
17:14I don't know how they would have sold that at SummerSlam,
17:16unless they would have had him do the cash in and then have LA night come out and do something either at,
17:21after the cash in or at the start of night two,
17:23I guess that's possible,
17:24but that's what,
17:25that's what we're hearing from the Meltzer camp.
17:28Now other news coming out of SummerSlam.
17:30Gunther is out indefinitely.
17:31Now they claim that it's due to injury suffered at SummerSlam's main event.
17:34That is not the report that I've seen.
17:36Uh,
17:37the report that I've seen is that he has an orbital,
17:39um,
17:40a blowout fracture that it,
17:43and those things,
17:44if the rumor is,
17:45is that happened before the match that the,
17:48the,
17:49the,
17:50the,
17:51the spot where CM Punk swipes out his legs and he falls on the table is done on purpose.
17:53So he can go down,
17:54come up with the blood and it would justify him,
17:56uh,
17:57being out of the ring for an extended period of time and whatnot.
18:00Um,
18:01and hopefully,
18:02uh,
18:03Gunther will be back on in short order.
18:05According to Dave Meltzer,
18:06once again,
18:07wrestling observer radio,
18:08um,
18:09Gunther is going to require surgery on his nose.
18:11Um,
18:12he,
18:13his word is,
18:14he says the spot in the match where Gunther hit the announce table was included
18:16to make that look like the injury occurred.
18:18Then,
18:19um,
18:20they,
18:21it is a key to note that Michael Cole did not mention surgery on his nose during
18:24the raw broadcast,
18:25but that's the word we're getting from,
18:27uh,
18:28Dave Meltzer.
18:29So we'll have to wait and I'm not sure how long he'll be out.
18:31Hopefully he'll get back quickly.
18:32So he can still hopefully have that opportunity to wrestle John Cena before the
18:36end of the year,
18:37but we'll have to wait and see.
18:38Hopefully he's a fast healer.
18:39Uh,
18:40one other tidbit before we get to raw update on,
18:41uh,
18:42TNA and they have a potential media rights deal coming down the pike.
18:46I almost feel like a broken record tonight,
18:48but referencing again,
18:49once again,
18:50back to the wrestling observer newsletter,
18:51uh,
18:52quote in here,
18:53it says regarding the new TV deal,
18:54both a and E and CW have been rumored.
18:57And in both these cases,
18:59obviously WWE would have been involved.
19:01The report stated adding that WWE could potentially get either a and E or C and CW to move TNA to Wednesday nights.
19:09But the report also added that the stations might decide to instead air TNA shows on Thursdays or Sundays,
19:15since those would be the only nights without competition from WWE or AEW television shows.
19:21And the report also suggests that TNA could be a good lead in for WWE LFG,
19:26which already airs on Sunday nights on A and E.
19:28And I think it's a great idea.
19:30The whole point of this partnership was to get them enhanced viewership.
19:34And that has paid off,
19:35you know,
19:36record setting pay-per-views and things like that.
19:38So a new media rights deal,
19:40the support of WWE,
19:41these two companies are getting closer and closer.
19:44It's a beautiful thing.
19:45I think for the wrestling community,
19:46though,
19:47I got to say now that WWE has officially taken full control of triple A,
19:51it would not surprise me if somewhere down the line,
19:54they didn't acquire TNA.
19:56If for some reason,
19:57Anthem decides to get out of the business,
19:59we'll have to wait and see.
20:00That being said,
20:01let's get into our,
20:02our response to WWE Monday night raw or Netflix raw.
20:07Um,
20:08we started the show with Seth Rollins,
20:09Paul Heyman,
20:10Bronson Reed,
20:11Brom Breaker,
20:12all out in the ring.
20:13Um,
20:14they're talking trash about just about,
20:15just about everybody.
20:16Um,
20:17LA nights music hits.
20:19He comes out.
20:20Yeah.
20:21He's the guy who beat Seth Rollins.
20:22Shouldn't he get a title shot?
20:23Absolutely.
20:24Um,
20:25and I love the Adam Pierce was not the typical cowardly Adam Pierce.
20:28He seemed to really know what he was doing.
20:30And he comes out and makes the match official for that night,
20:32which I think was perfect.
20:33Um,
20:34we have our first matches.
20:35Sheamus versus Rusev match three in their series.
20:38Um,
20:39this one ends with a double count out,
20:41a horrible finish to it.
20:42But I guess if you're what I think there was the whole purpose to this was for the backstage
20:48segment later on where the two of them are still fighting.
20:51And somehow they include Sammy Zane in that accidentally seeing Rusev hit Sammy Zane,
20:55which will lead to a match next week between the two of them.
20:58Um,
20:59we have Penta and Grayson Waller after a backstage segment.
21:01This was all right.
21:02I,
21:03I really,
21:04I just,
21:05it for Penta and Phoenix to be reunited.
21:07Maybe now that that,
21:08uh,
21:09TLC matches over,
21:10we can move towards that.
21:11Um,
21:12but Penta,
21:13he wins with a Mexican destroyer,
21:15defeats Grayson Waller.
21:16Um,
21:17after the match,
21:18he basically takes out the new day,
21:20um,
21:21which I'm fine with.
21:22Where's the,
21:23Xavier Woods wearing this crazy hat with all these frills.
21:26He ends up throwing that at him out of the ring,
21:28wore it for a little bit and did his little dance and strut,
21:30which I thought was awesome.
21:31Um,
21:32later on we hear from Charlotte Flair and Alexa bliss,
21:34um,
21:35awkward exchanges with them taking each other's belts and playing up to the,
21:40like the friend thing.
21:41Um,
21:42and that they're stuck together as long as they're still women's tag team champions.
21:45Of course,
21:46this brings out Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez for a rematch for the women's tag team championship,
21:51solid match,
21:52relatively short match,
21:53good match.

22:00and then it follows up with Dominic Mysterio versus dragon leaf,
22:03but actually a really,
22:04really good match.
22:05Dragon Lee look great in this.
22:07Let's get to the part that I hated.
22:09Oh,
22:10Grande Americano.
22:11The one that is more than likely,
22:12uh,
22:13Ludwig Kaiser comes out.
22:14Then here comes El Grande Americano part two,
22:17which is,
22:18you know,
22:19Pete Dunn.
22:20And then we get El Grande Americano part three,
22:21which I still don't think is Chad Gable.
22:23And I'll be honest with you.
22:24Normally I would Google this stuff,
22:26find out who the third one is.
22:27I just don't care at this point.
22:28I it's,
22:29it's almost like doing the clown.
22:30Like,
22:31I just don't care.
22:32Can we just get on with this storyline?
22:33Are we going to do this?
22:34Do we have eight of them have like an El Grande Americano tournament?
22:37Like whatever.
22:38Um,
22:39didn't do anything for me,
22:40I was okay with Dominic picking up the win.
22:42Um,
22:43after the match,
22:44AJ Styles runs down,
22:45um,
22:46grabs the boot from Dominic,
22:47goes to hit him with it,
22:48but it doesn't happen,
22:49which obviously their,
22:50their feud is not over.
22:51Um,
22:52that's,
22:53that's the part of the show.
22:54We see the Sammy Zane backstage part with Sheamus and Rusev and,
22:56and him getting involved.
22:57Then we get the Becky Lynch promo,
22:58which if you watch this show,
23:00this is probably the most important thing of the night.
23:03Becky Lynch talking trash,
23:04Nikki Bella,
23:05um,
23:06her music hits.
23:07She makes her way to the ring and there's the general stuff back and forth,
23:11but nothing gets as much heat as when Becky Lynch talks about her and her husband,
23:18her hot husband,
23:19uh,
23:20being the greatest wrestling couple of all time.
23:24And then she goes,
23:25it would have been you and your,
23:27huh?
23:28And she pauses and she's making reference to John Cena.
23:31Um,
23:32she goes,
23:33that's right.
23:34You can't see him anymore.
23:36Making fun of the way her and John Cena's relationship fell apart,
23:39which I thought,
23:40I mean,
23:41the reaction from the crowds was fantastic,
23:43but then she hits Nikki Bella.
23:45She goes down and stays down and then she just leaves the ring.
23:48And I thought like,
23:49you really punked out Nikki Bella.
23:51You know what I mean?
23:52Like Nikki Bella had nothing.
23:54It was all generic promo stuff.
23:55And she,
23:56when you get hit with a zinger like that,
23:58you got to come back with like some kind of fire,
24:00man.
24:01Like come back with something about Charlotte,
24:03uh,
24:04you know,
24:05you can't even keep your best friend or I don't know,
24:06whatever,
24:07but you got to have a zinger of some kind.
24:09You can't just walk away from that.
24:10And that's exactly what happened.
24:11And Nikki Bella kind of look weak.
24:12I guess this will lead to a program in the match between the two for the title.
24:15I don't really care if she wins retains or she loses it,
24:18but I thought this could have been done better.
24:20Um,
24:21I don't like the invoking of John Cena just because I think,
24:24you know,
24:25that's like tearing a bandaid off an old wound.
24:27It's,
24:28it's,
24:29it's not needed.
24:30And if you're going to do it,
24:31here's the crazy part,
24:32right?
24:33And I listened to busted open with Dave LaGreca and bully Ray talking about this.
24:37As soon as she hit with the line,
24:39I'm being honest.
24:40They didn't believe the one fan who said it,
24:42but if you're all listening to my show,
24:44you're a big enough fan that you probably did the same thing.
24:47I do.
24:48How cool would it be to see Seth and Becky against Cena and Nikki?
24:53Now,
24:54Cena is now married.
24:55Nikki is recently divorced.
24:57You would need a whole lot of goodwill from John Cena and his wife to pull off an angle
25:03where he defends the honor of Nikki Bella,
25:06despite the fact that they're no longer together.
25:08I mean,
25:09he could play it as,
25:10you know,
25:11even though our relationship didn't work out,
25:12we are still friendly with one another.
25:15We're respectful of one another,
25:16you know,
25:17whatever.
25:18Um,
25:19and I could buy that and I thought it too.
25:21And I think Dave LaGreca thought one of the callers was full of it when they referenced
25:25that,
25:26but I thought the same thing.
25:27It makes total sense.
25:28I just don't,
25:29I can't imagine what John Cena's wife would feel like if that's the angle you go with,
25:34but it was worth the view.
25:36I would love to see Cena do that.
25:37But of course,
25:38with the Brock Lesnar stuff going on,
25:39I don't think that's going to happen.
25:40And then the final part of the evening,
25:42we get Seth Rollins defending the world heavyweight championship against LA Knight.
25:45Um,
25:46Bronson Reed and Bron Breaker were barred from ringside.
25:48Thank you,
25:49Adam Pierce,
25:50for getting involved again to make that happen.
25:51But we all know what's going to happen here.
25:53At one point,
25:54we're getting ready to see a curb stomp into the concrete floor.
25:57CM Punk hits the ring,
25:59causes the disqualification.
26:01Um,
26:02which what's weird to me is LA Knight gets mad at Punk for costing the championship.
26:06I get that.
26:07But you were about to have your face stomped into the floor.
26:09And if history tells us anything,
26:11that's what happened to Roman Reigns.
26:12He was out for like three months leading into WrestleMania.
26:15So if you're LA Knight,
26:16do you want your face smushed in the floor?
26:18Are you going to come out with something like,
26:19Oh, I had him right where I want him.
26:20I was faking it or whatever.
26:22I was faking it.
26:23Like he faked his injury or whatever,
26:25maybe.
26:26Um,
26:27but I do think people were interested in the LA Knight CM Punk dynamic.
26:30I think that could be very,
26:31very cool.
26:32And certainly a stopgap until we get the punk Roman,
26:35which I think has to happen at some point.
26:37Punk throwing some shade at Roman on X today.
26:40Um,
26:41not sure,
26:42not sure how that's going to play out.
26:43Um,
26:44we do see punk at the ring.
26:45LA Knight pulls them off.
26:46They're all fighting like crazy.
26:48And then of course,
26:49the bronze come to the ring.
26:50They lay out both of them.
26:52And then as they're getting ready to go to the back,
26:54they start cueing the music.
26:55The end credits are getting ready to roll and everything.
26:58And they cue the OTC's entrance music.
27:01Roman reigns makes an unannounced appearance on raw comes to the ring,
27:05starts cleaning house,
27:06takes out both bronze.
27:07Then they tease.
27:08He and Seth,
27:09Seth backs out of the ring.
27:10And then it goes down between he and the bronze.
27:13And at one point,
27:14as he's getting the better of the two of them,
27:16Seth comes in,
27:17hits the curb stomp.
27:18And that's how we're going to end the show with three tsunamis,
27:20which again,
27:21I heard bully Ray today talking about why did they only do three?
27:24You did six of them to Seth last year.
27:26Why wouldn't you do six of them to Roman at least six of them to Roman to
27:30try to take out the biggest threat to Seth Rollins is faction.
27:33I agree with bully Ray.
27:34The guy's got the most incredible insight into the wrestling business.
27:37I think I've ever seen,
27:38but this is obviously going to set up a six man tag team match,
27:42something I don't really care for.
27:43But all in all,
27:44I thought raw was pretty solid coming out of a great summer slam,
27:47two night event.
27:48I'm not disappointed with any of it except for maybe some of the interview lines
27:52and whatnot.
27:53I don't really care for the El Grande Americano nonsense,
27:55but most of the rest of the show is pretty solid.
27:57If I'm being honest,
27:58I feel like AJ Styles promo.
28:00I'm a huge AJ Mark.
28:01I feel like some of his stuff comes across as a little bit hokey and a little
28:03bit too choreographed,
28:04but otherwise it was good stuff.
28:07I love Sammy Zane getting involved with somebody else.
28:09I would have loved to have seen Karrion Kross,
28:10who was not there.
28:11I would have been interested to see a lot of talents that were not there.
28:14I was kind of surprised,
28:15but all in all,
28:16pretty good show.
28:17No major complaints.
28:18That's for sure.
