00:00The Sunday Times long-awaited Good University Guide for 2026 is finally here,
00:06ranking more than 100 universities across the country on graduate employment prospects,
00:11teaching quality and more. This is often considered to be one of the country's most
00:15definitive university league tables, but the institutions that have come out on top have
00:20gone through quite the shake-up this year. Hello, my name's Amber Allett and I'm a journalist
00:24specialising in education. Here are a few of the latest guide's biggest surprises.
00:30For the first time in the guide's 32-year history, Oxford and Cambridge, some of England's
00:37oldest and most prestigious universities, have been nudged out of the top three. They've been
00:42ranked fourth equal this year. The university that rose the ranks and pushed them out was
00:47Durham University, up in the northeast. The Times editor says that it managed to climb two
00:52places into third overall this year, boosted by improvements in teaching quality and student
00:57experience. Last year, the London School of Economics and Political Science was named

01:19also especially well represented amongst the top schools this year. St Andrews in Scotland
01:24placed second overall, while Strathclyde, Glasgow, Aberdeen, Dundee and Edinburgh all made the
01:30top 30. So did Belfast, Queen's University as well as Wales, Cardiff University.

01:38where I have a family member of Canada, and I am with the pin in thecoins per couple of
01:40Canadians. I found that people will share that in terms of their children as well. And so I am
01:41the help one of their children being a native native international school, and I am a
01:43raised of three people with a lot of students being a native international school. But we
01:45are able to bring to a vast majority of the school that a large group of students
01:46who are really proud of their grandparents and kids in the past, who are really
01:48the best at the future, and what they are still enjoying. And so I guess what
01:48they should be for a perfect majority. But if they also want to be with the
01:51community as well, but we are easy to speak for them to try. So, if you remember what
