00:00Think about all the different people. Think about PCA the wide-eyed kid who's shown you

00:05glimpses of brilliance and then been bad and had to be sat down. Think about Matthew Boyd's journey

00:12from rehabbing at home and never losing faith to an all-star season and a postseason birth as the

00:19freaking pillar of the rotation. Think about Matt Shaw's season with all those mechanical

00:23adjustments not once but twice and the defense never wavering along the way. Pick a guy Brad

00:30Keller turned into a reliever and said whatever you need I got you and he's now the closer. I mean

00:36even a vet like Jamison Tyone getting a chance now to get into the postseason with this group

00:42and him saying on Mullion Hall what yesterday morning I don't care what my role is in the

00:46playoffs I'll do whatever the hell you want. I mean it's a beautiful thing and you can go down

00:51the line there's so many different people and seeing Ian Happ emotional as the stoic leader

00:55and our guy Nico with his steadiness he's like the heart and soul of that batch. There's like

01:01there's so many good stories of surviving a tumultuous season that can feel like it's long

01:08as hell. So damn right you celebrate. Your young guys like M Baller and Cade Horton and like them

01:14having the opportunity to get a taste of this and us and I'm sure that we'll get into it at some point

01:20the idea of who starts game one of a playoff series right now and I'm probably going with

01:27Cade Horton if it's someone were to ask me about it but all of that stuff everything that you've

01:32been through all those things that were in your way like that that moment when everyone looked

01:38at the Cubs like hey what the hell is going on as the Brewers surged by them guys working through

01:45injury to try and get back guys working through ineffective play to try and get back to what

01:50they were and and it was it's one of those things where this season has so many chapters to it and

01:58it's exciting to see what the next chapter is going to be but you have this this chapter of oh well look

02:04at this the Cubs are starting out the season and they're starting out against the Dodgers in Japan

02:08you're like look at this gauntlet of games that they have to play in the first six weeks of the

02:13season and they don't just survive it speaks they thrive inside of that and and then then the the

02:19next chapter is wow this team's pretty good look at them like they're they're out there moving then

02:25you get to every every Cubs should be an all-star right like then you get to that part like things

02:31are going so great and then after the all-star game things collapse because the Brewers won't stop

02:37losing and here they are now as a playoff team with with a chance with a variable chance to win it all
