00:00Well, the Cubs are an average team right now.
00:02There's no other way you can look at them, right?
00:05They're not a bad team.
00:07They have the ability to step it up and play better baseball.
00:10But the offense has stuttered along the way.
00:16The pitching, I think, in the long run is the main concern, right?
00:20When you look at the starting pitching, which has really been down lately
00:26and the home run ball, as we've talked about a lot, is impacting them.
00:31Boyd threw 63 pitches at Iowa on Sunday.
00:36Maybe his next start is against the Giants this next weekend.
00:41Maybe he has one more rehab start.
00:44We'll find out tomorrow when we talk to the Cubs and Craig Council.
00:48But the pitching has to step up.
00:51I'm just not as concerned about the offense as other people are.
00:56Bregman is showing really good signs over the weekend
00:58that the power bat is starting to show up.
01:01Hit that one home run that was an inch foul that they took away on Saturday.
01:07Yesterday, it went into the bullpen.
01:09So the offense should be there.
01:13It's the starting pitching that I'm most concerned about right now for the Cubs.
