00:00What do you make of the Cubs in terms of are they for real as a pennant contender?

00:04And if they're not, what do they need to do?

00:06What move do they need to make to get there?

00:10Are they for real?

00:11Oh, they're for real.

00:12Their offense is for real.

00:13Let's be serious.

00:14I wish they had Justin Steele for the year, but that hurts.

00:19But, yeah, I mean, Kyle Tucker's changed the dynamics.

00:21PCA has been incredible for them.

00:25What do they need?

00:26They need bullpen.

00:27They've shored that up recently.

00:28Craig Council is really good.

00:29It's shoring up bullpens and finding ways to put guys in roles to succeed.

00:32I'd love for them to get a bullpen piece or two and a starter or two.

00:35But guess what, guys?

00:37Every team in the league that's contending is looking for that.

00:40And the problem the Cubs have this year, they're in the National League.

00:42So you have the Dodgers, the Giants, the Padres, the Mets, the Phillies.

00:47And if the Braves can figure it out somehow, they have them too.

00:49So I think they'll win the division.

00:52I think they'll make the playoffs.

00:53But, man, if you've got to run through that gauntlet,

00:55especially when you're down one of your best,

00:56you better go out and find somebody to fill that role.

00:59So Jed Hoyer's got his hands full.

01:04about the Cubs, but I really do like their team.
