00:00Fast Charging your ZDX just got even more convenient with the introduction of the Acura approved NACS to CCS Charging Adapter.
00:10This adapter helps you now access more than 21,500 charging points on the Tesla Supercharger Network and other DC Fast Chargers which utilize North American Charging Standard NACS ports.
00:23The process to charge at an NACS equipped station is similar to most DC Fast Charging stations with just a few key differences which we'll show you here.
00:33To begin, once you've parked in an available stall, retrieve the charging adapter from the storage compartment underneath ZDX's cargo floor.
00:42Next, open the charge door located on the driver's side front fender.
00:46Press and release the door on the right-hand side toward the middle to open the charge door and remove the CCS Fast Charging port cover, lowering it fully.
00:56Unplug the charging cable from the charging station and attach the adapter to the end of the plug.
01:02Be sure to do this before inserting the adapter into your vehicle's charge port.
01:06The adapter will not accept the plug when it's already attached to your vehicle.
01:10Now, you can plug the charge cord into your vehicle's charge port, making sure it's fully connected.
01:17Use the app associated with the charging station, in this case the Tesla app, on your phone or, where available, the charging station screen to establish payment and initiate the charging session.
01:29Once initiated from your phone or the charging station, check your ZDX's charging indicator to confirm charging is started.
01:36Note, while charging is active, the plug will be locked to the charge port and cannot be disconnected.
01:44In addition, the digital instrument cluster will display a charging status screen that includes the battery state of charge and an estimated time of completion.
01:55Once you've reached the desired charge level, unplugging and storing the adapter is just as easy.

02:01To unlock the charge cord, press the button on top of the adapter and remove the combined adapter and cord from the vehicle's charge port.
02:10Then, while pressing the button on the bottom of the charging adapter, separate the charge cord from the charging adapter and place the cord into the charging station.
02:19Re-seat the CCS fast charging dust cover and close the charge port door by hand.
02:24Finally, place the adapter back into the storage compartment underneath ZDX's cargo floor.
