00:00Welcome to the video from the Car Magazine Tuning Blog.
00:04Today, we're all about the new Cadillac Optic-V, the latest electric vehicle in the V-Series,
00:09which boasts impressive performance and the latest technology.
00:14Cadillac is driving forward the electrification of its range and, following the Lyric,
00:18the smaller Optic model is now also getting a high-performance version.
00:21The 2026 Cadillac Optic-V delivers a whopping 526hp and an impressive 881Nm of torque.
00:33By comparison, the base model only has 304hp and 480Nm.
00:40The vehicle owes this enormous increase in performance to a new battery pack with 85kWh and two electric motors.
00:47In terms of acceleration, the Optic-V impresses with its 0-100kmh sprint in just 3.5 seconds.
00:56This puts it almost on par with the most powerful 5-series model, the Connecticut 5V, Blackwing,
01:02which is only a tenth of a second faster.
01:05The Lyric-V, a bigger brother, even manages the same thing in just 3.3 seconds.
01:11Despite its impressive performance, the Optic-V achieves a range of around 440km.
01:17It is also particularly noteworthy that the Optic-FA is the first model from General Motors
01:22to be equipped with the North American charging standard as standard.
01:27This means that it can be charged at any Tesla supercharger worldwide without an adapter.
01:33No information on the charging speed has been provided so far.
01:37Also new is the FarMode system, which offers, among other things,
01:41a launch control function in a competitive mode.
01:43The latter optimizes traction control for better driving dynamics.
01:49The standard SuperCoo cruise system, which enables hands-free driving on selected roads,
01:54provides even greater safety.
01:57The braking system has been upgraded with high-performance Brembo brakes on the front axle,
02:02which further improves deceleration.
02:03Visually, the Optic-V underlines its sporty ambitions with an exclusive front end,
02:11a special VMES-H grille, glossy black accents and optional carbon fiber elements on the rear bumper and spoiler.
02:19V-Series emblems can be found throughout the vehicle on the rear doors,
02:23the trunk and even on the rims.
02:25These are 21 inches in size and feature engraved Ferry's lettering.
02:33Alternatively, polished or painted rims are available with all-season tires as standard or optional summer tires.
02:41Two limited edition special paint finishes are available,
02:44matte gray Magnus Metal Frost and deep blue Deep Ocean.
02:47The blue accents also extend into the interior of the vehicle,
02:53where they can be found in the painted Brembo calipers as well as in the interior
02:56with Santorini blue or sky-cool gray color accents on the dashboard,
03:00door panels, seats and seatbelts.
03:04Here too, there is no shortage of V-Series emblems and carbon fiber applications,
03:09for example on the center console.
03:11In terms of technology, the Optic-V offers everything your heart desires.
03:17A standard 19-speaker AKG Studio audio system,
03:20a 33-inch combination display for instruments and infotainment,
03:24and the Google built-in system with integrated Google Maps and Google Assistant.
03:30However, Kodalik does without Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
