00:00Come on, let's stand one last time if you don't mind and can I tell you again how honored we
00:07are to have you in the house of the Lord today. The scripture puts it this way, when you're
00:12planted in the house of the Lord, you will flourish. I believe I'm looking at flourishing
00:17people today. We welcome you. If you're a visitor, I'd love to meet you after service. I'll be in
00:22the lobby back there by the bookstore, but it'd be my joy to shake your hand, but thanks for coming
00:26out. When you leave today, there's a little card they're going to hand you where you can invite
00:30somebody to come to church with you. It's got a little digital imprint there, a little whatever
00:35those barcodes are called, but you know, my dad always said every believer is a minister. In other
00:41words, you have influence with people that, you know, may not listen to me at least right now, but
00:46you know, they play ball with you, they work with you. Sometimes they just need an invitation. I give
00:52this statistic a lot, but 90% of people that have never been to church have never been invited,
00:58but 90% of people that are invited will come. So they're just waiting for an invitation. Why don't
01:03you bring somebody with you and you get them here in this atmosphere and you know, God will go to
01:08work on them and God will encourage them. We'll help them grow and become who they're created to be.
01:13But so great to have you with us today. And a couple of real quick things. Wednesday night,
01:17we do this three or four times a year. This Wednesday night, we have one of our worship nights.
01:21We take the whole 90 minutes. I know a lot of you love to work. There's no preaching. It's a little
01:27bit of encouragement, but just 90 minutes of just thanking God for what he's done. You want to be
01:32with a few thousand worshipers right here this Wednesday night. We'd love to have you. Then also
01:37starting tomorrow morning, if you're a man, it's on zoom, it's the men's winning challenge. Love to
01:43have you be a part. It's every Monday for six weeks led by pastor Nick Nielsen, just ways to help us
01:50grow and become who God's created us to be. But anyway, so good to have you here today. I want
01:55to ask you when you see yourself on the big screen, if you'll give our TV audience a great big Lakewood
01:59welcome. God bless you. It's great to be with you today. And I hope you'll stay connected with us
02:08during the week through our daily podcast, our YouTube channel and social media. And you can come
02:14visit us in person. We'd love to have you be a part of one of our services. Now I'd like to start
02:19with something funny. And I heard about this cat and mouse that died on the same day and went to
02:24heaven. After a few weeks, Peter saw the mouse and asked him how he liked it. He said, Oh, it's great,
02:31but it's so big. I wish I could get a pair of roller skates. Peter said, no problem. Got him some
02:37skates. A few weeks later, Peter saw the cat, asked him how he liked it. He said, Oh, it's fantastic.
02:43And just when I thought it couldn't get any better, I discovered the meals on wheels.
02:50Say it like you mean it. This is my Bible. I am what it says I am. I have what it says I have.
02:56I can do what it says I can do today. I will be taught the word of God. I boldly confess.
03:03My mind is alert. My heart is receptive. I will never be the same. I'm about to receive
03:10the incorruptible, indestructible, ever living seed of the word of God. I'll never be the same.
03:17Never, never, never. I'll never be the same in Jesus name. God bless you.
03:25If you'd like to open your Bibles to Romans chapter 12, you're welcome to Romans 12 and verse two.
03:31While you're turning, don't forget. We have great services all week, Sunday afternoon, two o'clock.
03:35We have this whole service in Spanish and Monday night, the Bible studies online. I mentioned
03:40Wednesday night and this week we'll have the youth in here with us. Thursday night, the college students
03:45meet. Friday night, once a month, we have something called movie night and we'd love to have you come
03:50out. We show a movie over here. It's free and meet a lot of great people from Lakewood. But
03:54thanks for coming out today. I want to talk to you today about mistaken identity. Victoria and I went on
04:02a hiking trip a while back and one of the activities they offered was a class on falconry. This instructor
04:10had a half a dozen birds in cages and one of them was a hawk. It was huge, had a wingspan over five
04:17feet, so strong and powerful. He had it on his arm. There was a little wire around the hawk's claws and
04:24it was connected to the man's jacket. A couple of times during the presentation, something bothered the
04:31hawk and wanted to fly away but could only go a couple of feet because of that tether. He would put that
04:37hawk right up next to his face where they'd touch each other. He'd look him in the eyes and rub his belly
04:44where that beak was just a couple inches from his nose. That's one of the hawk's main weapons. At one point,
04:51I asked the instructor, why doesn't that hawk try to claw you or use his beak to try to get away?
05:00He began to explain a concept called mis-imprinting. When a bird is hatched, it imprints on the first
05:08moving thing it sees, whether a bird, another animal, or a person. It develops this psychological
05:16connection and that's what the bird begins to identify as. He said, when this hawk hatched,
05:23I was the first thing it saw. It thinks I'm it's his mother. He's been mis-imprinted. He told how
05:30even though the hawk is powerful, even though it's a natural-born predator, it can't survive in the wild,
05:38doesn't know how to hunt, how to defend itself, how to interact with other birds,
05:43all because in its early years it got confused about its true identity. I read where researchers
05:51found this Canada goose that was living with a bunch of ducks. Even though the goose was bigger,
05:58made to fly higher, it always acted like a duck. They discovered that it was hatched in a duck's nest.
06:06The first thing it saw were all these ducks. It didn't know any better. It imprinted on the
06:12wrong species. The result was lifelong confusion. Never soared, couldn't protect itself, didn't
06:21reproduce like it was designed. It had mistaken identity. I wonder how many of us have been
06:28mis-imprinted. We were made in the image of God. He has crowned us with his favor. He calls us blessed,
06:36strong, free, but perhaps the first thing we saw was mediocrity, insecurity, addictions, people that
06:45compromised. Now we've let that become our identity. We think that's who we are. Can I tell you that is
06:52a mis-imprint? That may be what you've seen, but that is not who you are. You are a child of the
06:59most high God. Don't take on that false identity. Don't get connected to the wrong species, so to
07:07speak. You may have been raised by a bunch of ducks. No offense, but people that didn't soar,
07:13that accepted mediocrity, all by turkeys, people that were critical, complained, jealous, by chickens,
07:21people insecure, inferior, no vision. You didn't know any better. You let that imprint on you.
07:27That's become your identity. The good news is you can be re-imprinted. You can override any wrong
07:35imprinting. The scripture says you are transformed by the renewing of your mind. The way you correct
07:43that mis-imprinting is to go back to who God says you are. You are not how you were raised. You are not
07:50how someone treated you. You are not what they said. That's not your identity. They didn't breathe
07:56life into you. They didn't know you before you were formed in your mother's womb. God did. Go back to
08:03the one who created you and agree with who he says you are. Something powerful happens when you say,
08:11I am blessed. I am valuable. I am free. I am forgiven. I am victorious. In the unseen realm,
08:19chains are broken. Chains are broken. Forces of darkness are pushed back. Don't go through life
08:25with mistaken identity. Are there areas where you've been mis-imprinted? You've let your environment,
08:34the examples you've seen, become your identity, and now it's limiting you. Like that hawk, you have all
08:41this God-given potential, all this talent, strength, and skill, but you've identified with something
08:48lesser. You see yourself as not able, not disciplined, not talented. Why don't you start a new recording in
08:55your mind? That's what's going to transform you by what you're thinking. As long as you're thinking
09:02like a duck, you're going to quack. As long as you're thinking like a chicken, you're going to go around
09:07pecking, looking down, not expecting anything good. I mean, a chicken has wings, but can't really fly.
09:15That's not who you were created to be. God said you will soar like the eagles. God said you are the
09:21head and not the tail. He said your children will be mighty in the land. If this is going to happen,
09:28there has to be some re-imprinting, some renewing, transforming, because most likely we've all been
09:35mis-imprinted in some area. It's not just from how you were raised, but you go through a disappointment.
09:43Your business went down. You make mistakes. Guilt and condemnation comes. You're fighting depression,
09:49anxiety, thoughts saying you'll always struggle. Don't take on that identity. If you're dealing with
09:55a sickness, keep this thought. You are not a sick person trying to get well. You are a well person
10:02fighting off sickness, health, wholeness, vitality. That's who you are. Anything else is only temporary.
10:09It's just passing through. Well, Joel, all my family's depressed. Grandmother was depressed.
10:15Mother was depressed. The dog's depressed. The goldfish. Can I challenge you? You're the one to break out of
10:21that rut. You're the one to set a new standard. Don't pass down a wrong identity. There may have been
10:29generations of misprinting in your family line, but the buck can stop with you. You can re-imprint who
10:36you are. You can start the right identity. When you transform your mind, you will transform your life
10:43and even impact generations to come. I talked to a lady that had gone through a divorce and
10:50was very hurtful. There was infidelity involved and she was not only discouraged, but she is very down
10:57on herself. Thoughts whispered, you're not good enough. He wouldn't have left you if you were more
11:03attractive and had a better personality. If you believe those lies, they will begin to mis-imprint you.
11:11You will take on the wrong identity. Even though you're a masterpiece made in God's image, you'll start
11:18living like you're unworthy, not valuable, nothing to offer. The enemy works overtime in this area.
11:25He'd love to distort your identity to keep you from recognizing who you really are. So like that
11:33hawk, even though you're powerful, talented, have all this potential, you'll never step into the greatness
11:40God put in you. Now that hawk unfortunately can't change. He's been mis-imprinted permanently, but not
11:49you. You can be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Pay attention to what you're thinking.
11:57Are there things limiting you? Telling you you're not enough and you can't be successful and you'll
12:03always be addicted, lonely, struggling. Why do you think that way? Could it be that's the enemy trying to
12:11deceive you into mistaking your identity? Thinking that you're a chicken when really you're an eagle?
12:17You were created to soar. We see this way back in the Garden of Eden with Adam and Eve. They were living
12:25in paradise, enjoying their lives, blessed and grateful. But when they ate the forbidden fruit, suddenly
12:32they were afraid. They felt guilty and ashamed. They recognized they were naked. They ran and hid and tried
12:40to stay away from God. The first thing the enemy did was to try to change their identity. You're not
12:47worthy. You're not valuable. You don't deserve it anymore. He was trying to mis-imprint them. He uses
12:55the same strategy today. When we make mistakes, go through failures, he always goes for our identity.
13:02You're a failure. You're unworthy. You're not talented enough. If you take on that identity and start
13:09seeing yourself that way, you'll miss your destiny. Later in the day, God came walking through the
13:15garden. Adam, where are you? Adam said, God, we're hiding because we're naked. God said, Adam, who told you
13:24you were naked? Anything that's trying to make you feel less than, not enough, you need to ask yourself,
13:31where did that come from? That's the enemy whispering his lies. God is saying, who told you you're not
13:39talented? Who told you you're not attractive? Who told you you'll always struggle? Who told you you
13:46can't accomplish your dreams? Tune out all the lies and reprogram your mind with who God says you are.
13:54You may have gone through disappointments, times you didn't measure up, you have good reasons to live
14:00condemned, discouraged, but nothing that's happened to you has changed who you are. You are still a child
14:08of the most high, full of power, full of potential. No mistake you've made, no failure, no weakness
14:15has changed your identity. You are still worthy, valuable, a masterpiece. This is what happened with
14:23the Israelites. They had been in slavery 400 years in Egypt, generation after generation being mistreated,
14:32looked down on and God saw the injustice and he supernaturally delivered them. Pharaoh let the
14:38people go and they headed toward the promised land. You can imagine after all that time in captivity
14:45being oppressed, what their identity was. Even though they were God's chosen people, had his blessing,
14:53they still saw themselves as slaves. They came out of Egypt, but Egypt never came out of them.
15:00That imprint was so strong, generations deep. We're slaves, man. We're poor. We're defeated.
15:08Things can become ingrained in us to where it's passed from generation to generation. It's what
15:15they saw growing up. Poverty, struggle, and injustice. The babies born, they didn't know any better.
15:23They identified it with it, took on that mindset. Here's how powerful a mis-inprint can be.
15:30They were finally free, but they kept wanting to go back to Egypt. Every time they faced adversity,
15:36Moses, why'd you bring us out here in the desert to die? That didn't make sense. Who would want to go
15:42back to being mistreated, injustice? That's what happens when we've been mis-imprinted, when we've
15:50let the enemy distort our identity. There may be negative things that have been in your family line
15:57for a long time. They seem normal to you. Everyone's addicted or has problem with anger,
16:04staying faithful in relationships or thinking they can be successful. That will continue to get
16:11passed down until someone rises up. Someone has to recognize this is not who we are. This is mistaken
16:19identity. This is a misprint. You can be the one to break the negative cycle. You can set the new
16:27standard. It starts in your thinking. You have to delete any strongholds that are contradicting
16:34who God says you are. Thoughts tell you you'll never break that addiction. God says whom the Son
16:39sets free will be free indeed. Don't believe the lie that the addiction is just who you are. You are free.
16:48You are whole. No weapon formed against you will prosper.
16:51Joel, I've had a lot of bad breaks and closed doors and this person walked away. You're right
16:59where the Israelites were. Don't make the mistake they made and take on that identity or you'll always
17:06want to go back thinking this is who I am. No, God has beauty for those ashes. He said he'd pay you back
17:12double for the unfair things. That may have happened to you, but it didn't change who you are. You were
17:19still a masterpiece. You're still a prized possession. You still have a future and a hope.
17:25Well, how about the lie that you've made too many mistakes? You've gotten too far off course. You
17:31can't be blessed now. Some of the heroes in the Bible made great mistakes. The Apostle Paul, you remember,
17:41he started off trying to kill believers. He was the greatest enemy of the church. In a split second,
17:47God changed him. He went on to write over half of the books in the New Testament. Would have never
17:54happened if he'd have kept the wrong imprint. I'm washed up. I've done too much wrong. I don't deserve
18:00it. Those mistakes didn't lessen your value. The enemy is called the accuser. He's going to try to use
18:09what you've done wrong to misimprint you, to get you to see yourself as unworthy, not valuable. Just
18:17sit on the sidelines. Do yourself a favor. Tune all that out and get in agreement with God. Reprogram
18:24your thinking. I am forgiven. I am redeemed. I am restored. I am the righteousness of God.
18:30The Israelites came to the promised land. They were camped next door. Moses sent 12 men to spy out
18:38the land. After 40 days, 10 came back and said, Moses, there are giants in the land. We were in our
18:46own sights as grasshoppers as we were in their sights. The giants you face in life don't determine who you
18:55are. They reveal who you are. Notice how they saw themselves. We were as grasshoppers. You're talking
19:03about the power of a wrong imprint. These people had just seen God deliver them out of slavery,
19:10part the Red Sea, drown their enemies. They saw manna breakfast each morning in the desert,
19:16supernatural protection. You would think they would see themselves as mighty, powerful, knowing that
19:23they were God's chosen people. But it was just the opposite. They never got rid of their slave
19:29mentality. They saw themselves as weak and not able. Because of their mistaken identity, they never did
19:37go into the promised land. Don't let that be you. Are there areas where you've had a mis-imprint?
19:45Where what you've seen, what you've been through, how someone treated you, has caused you to have a
19:51distorted image of who you are? You've taken on the identity of the environment you've been in.
19:58Here you're this strong, powerful eagle destined to store, but you got a duck mentality, a limited
20:05mindset because of what you've seen. You have to know that is not who you are. Your environment is not
20:13your identity. Your identity comes from your creator. God breathed his life into you. Whether you're in the
20:21palace or in the slums, none of that changes your worth. That doesn't change your value. Here's the
20:28key. How you see yourself is what matters. If you see yourself as limited, not able, not attractive,
20:36you'll live that way. But if you'll see yourself as valuable, strong, successful, you will live a
20:42victorious life. This is what my father had to do. Daddy was raised very poor. His parents were farmers and
20:51they lost everything during the Great Depression. Many times they didn't have enough food to eat.
20:57Daddy didn't know any better. That's the identity that he took on. Poor, defeated, never do anything
21:03significant. But at 17 years old, walking home from a nightclub at two o'clock in the morning, he began to
21:11think about God and what he was going to do with his life. His family knew nothing about faith. They had no kind
21:18of religion. But the next day he went to church with a friend and gave his life to Christ, the first
21:25one in the family. He felt God calling him to become a minister. That didn't make sense. He didn't have
21:32any training, any kind of experience. He told his parents that he was going to leave the farm and go out
21:39and start ministering. And they didn't understand and tried to talk him out of it. All his parents had
21:46known was a life of struggle, mediocrity, trying to survive. That's what had been ingrained in my
21:53father's thinking. It had been passed down for generations. It looked like it would continue,
21:59but my father rose up and said, no, this is not who we are. This is a mis-imprint. We are not defeated,
22:08can't do it, limited people. We are children of Almighty God. We are blessed, strong, prosperous,
22:15holy, forgiven, victorious. He transformed his life by renewing his mind. He took on a new identity,
22:26who God says we are. He changed the course for our family line. Myself, my siblings, we grew up with a
22:33different imprint. Are there wrong imprints robbing you from your true identity? You can change it.
22:41It starts in your thinking. It's what God said to Adam. Who told you you can't rise higher? Get rid of
22:48those lies and start believing what God says about you. Judges chapter 6, Gideon was hiding in a wine
22:56press, afraid of the enemy army surrounding the city. Every time their crops blossomed, these bandits
23:04would come and try to take it away. While Gideon was so worried and fearful, an angel appeared and
23:11said, mighty hero, the Lord is with you. You are to deliver the Israelites from the Midianites. God called
23:19him a mighty hero when he was afraid and intimidated. God calls you who you really are. Gideon was confused.
23:27He said to the angel, how can I deliver the Israelites? I come from the poorest family. I am the least one in
23:36my father's house. What was Gideon's problem? He had been mis-imprinted. What he saw, his environment.
23:44We're less than. We're at a disadvantage. We can't leave our mark. The fact is, Gideon was a mighty hero.
23:51He was a history maker. That's who God destined him to be, but he let the wrong identity take root.
23:59He believed those lies that he was his environment. He was like everyone around him. This angel showed
24:06up to tell him who he really was. Gideon kept making excuses. I don't see how. We come from the wrong
24:13family. This obstacle is too big. He went back and forth with the angel. Finally, he agreed to go out and
24:20lead the Israelites. That's when he discovered favor, strength, courage that he'd never seen.
24:27By the time the battle was over, the people were shouting a sword for the Lord and a sword for Gideon.
24:34A little earlier, he was hiding. Now he's leading the charge with people shouting his name. Gideon went on
24:41to become a hero of fame. This would have never happened if the angel had not shown up to correct his
24:48identity. As long as he saw himself as limited, weak, he would have stayed there in hiding and missed
24:55his destiny. Maybe God sent me today to help correct any wrong identities, to remind you who you really
25:03are. There's a mighty hero in you. You are strong. You are valuable. You are talented, attractive, favored,
25:12empowered. Don't let a wrong identity keep you from your greatness. Reprogram your thinking with what
25:20God says about you. Tune out all the misinformation, the negative, limited, not enough, too many mistakes.
25:29The enemy would love for you to become misimprinted so you will miss your destiny. But this is a new day.
25:36God is re-imprinting you. There's a new image taking root. No more grasshopper mentality, but a mighty hero
25:44mentality. No more can't do it, but well able. No more not valuable, but masterpiece made in the image
25:53of Almighty God. Friend of mine was raised here in the Fifth Ward in Houston back in the 1960s, and
26:01it was pretty rough back then. A lot of games and drugs, and his father wasn't around. While his mother
26:07was working, he started skipping school and getting into trouble and stealing things, robbing. One day,
26:13the police were chasing him. He was running through a neighborhood. He crawled under this house that was
26:19up on blocks. They had a police dog after him. He opened up the sewer and covered himself in waste and
26:26filth so the dog couldn't smell him. He got away. But sitting in that filth, something said, you were
26:34made for more than this. This is not who you are. He went by a gym one day and saw some people in there
26:41boxing. He walked in as a teenager and told the man he wanted to box. Man was rude. Get out of here, kid.
26:48I don't have time for you. As he was leaving, so dejected, another man came over. He said, listen, son,
26:56if you want to box, I'll train you. And if you'll work hard and stick with it, you can become an Olympic
27:02champion. He didn't even know the young man. He had never met him, but he saw something in him.
27:09Like the angel with Gideon, sometimes you need people to speak faith into you, to tell you who you
27:16really are. Nobody had ever told that young man he could do something great. All he heard was, you're
27:23not good enough. You never amount to anything. You can't even stay out of trouble. That day, a stronghold
27:30was broken in his mind. That misimprinting began to change. He thought, maybe I'm not who I think I am.
27:38Maybe I'm not defeated, undisciplined, with no future. He began to reprogram his mind.
27:46That coach not only told him what he could become, but he gave him a pair of boxing shoes
27:51and boxing gloves. No one had ever given him anything. He had never boxed before, but one year
27:58later, George Foreman was an Olympic champion. He won the gold medal. He went on to become the
28:06heavyweight champion of the world. When he retired, he became a pastor across town, always talking about
28:12what God can do, how he can turn any situation around. It's amazing what happens when we get rid
28:19of the wrong identity. I wonder if there are areas where you've been misimprinted, like George, like
28:26Gideon. I'm just average Joel. I can't do anything great. I've been through too much. The truth is,
28:32you're a mighty hero. You have greatness in you. You have to clear out all the lies that are trying to
28:39deceive you into being less than you were created to be. You can be transformed by the renewing of
28:46your mind. Start dwelling on what God says about you. Not the limited, can't do it, not valuable
28:53thoughts. How about the strong, talented, mighty hero thoughts? God is going to take you further than
29:00you can imagine. Gideon never dreamed he would be a hero of faith. My father never dreamed he'd leave
29:07the farm and go on to impact people all over the world. What God is going to do in your life is going
29:14to supersede anything you can imagine. Now don't limit him with the wrong identity. You may have had
29:21some mis-imprinting things you believe that you didn't know any better, but I believe and declare
29:27today God is re-imprinting strongholds being broken, forces that have held you back coming down.
29:34The mighty hero is coming out. Your true identity in Jesus' name. And if you receive it, can you say
29:42amen? Let's pray together. If you have five minutes, if you can stick with me, Lord, thank you for what
29:49we've heard today. I know it falls on great ground, faithful people here at Lakewood. Lord, show us any
29:56areas where we've been mis-imprinted. Lord, I thank you that you will bring those to light. And Lord, like Gideon
30:03did, we're going to make the changes. We're going to renew our mind. We're going to be transformed.
30:08And Lord, I thank you that we're all rising up higher. Like I declared, Lord, that strongholds
30:14are coming down. Lord, help us to see ourselves for who we really are. Lord, I thank you that as your
30:20people go out this week, that you'll watch after them, their children, your angels protecting them,
30:26give them a blessed, flourishing week in Jesus' name. With our heads bowed in prayer, just a quick
30:32question. If your heart stopped beating in the next few minutes, are you at peace with God? Do you know
30:41where you'd spend eternity if you died a little while from now? If not, I would love to pray with you.
30:48I'm not here to condemn anybody. I'm here to help you find a new beginning. I know this comes from a
30:55personal relationship with Jesus Christ. In just a moment, if you're not at peace with the Lord,
31:03or maybe you are a Christian, but you've grown cold toward God, you know you need to rededicate
31:09your life. You need a fresh new start. If that's you, in just a moment, I'm going to ask you to take a
31:16step of faith and stand right where you are, and we'll pray together. I can't think of a better time
31:22to get on the road to victory than right now. God is not mad at you. Your sins have already been
31:29forgiven. All you have to do is accept the free gift of Christ's salvation. Will you do it today?
31:36The enemy in your thoughts will tell you, do it next week. Do it another time. Listen, the Bible says
31:43today is the day of salvation. Don't put it off. So easy. Well, Joel, it's embarrassing to stand in
31:51front of everyone. I have people at the house. I can't lift my hand. Listen to what Jesus said.
31:56If you won't be ashamed of me before people, then I won't be ashamed of you before my father in heaven.
32:04I'm going to give you a great opportunity to show God that you're not ashamed of him.
32:08If you're not at peace with the Lord, or you just need to rededicate your life, you need a fresh new
32:16start, a new beginning. If that's you, would you be bold, take that step of faith, and stand right
32:22where you are, and we'll pray together. Would you do that? Come on, Lakewood. Let's give them a hand
32:26clap as they stand all over the building. Come on, don't put it off. I feel like there ought to be
32:37others. Anybody else? Take a stand today. Don't go home without peace. Up top, in the back, watching.
32:45A little more clapping, Lakewood. They're still standing. Anybody else? Your heart's beating fast.
32:49Don't go home without peace. Well, God bless you. Please remain standing if you don't mind.
32:57First off, I want to tell you how proud we are of you. I know that took courage to stand. I also know
33:03that God's never going to be ashamed of you because you took this step of faith today. The scripture says
33:09that whoever calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. Let me help you to call. Do you mind all
33:15praying this after me, if you would, please? Lord Jesus, I repent of my sins. Come into my heart.
33:24I make you my Lord and Savior. Amen. Remain standing one more moment. I want to tell you again how much
33:31we love you. We're going to be praying for you. I also want to give you a personal invitation and a
33:37challenge to come back and be with us on a regular basis. We ask new believers to give us the next year
33:44of your life. Just like you go to work for the next year. Why don't you make a commitment that
33:49you're going to be here anytime you possibly can. I'll make a promise to you before that year is
33:55over. Your life will never be the same for the better. We're going to help you grow and become
34:00who God's created you to be. I know you're busy. Most of you have Sundays a day off. You could be
34:06resting or running errands, but can I tell you when you put God first place and get into a community of
34:12faith? There is a blessing on your life. Your new week will go better. I hope you'll take me up on
34:18that. Also, you can get involved. Get plugged in. Ushers, choirs, greeters. I'd love for you to meet
34:23some great friends here at Lakewood. Something in your seat back pocket. Grab this. If you want to
34:28get plugged in here at Lakewood, you can just go to that little digital code and we will help you get
34:32plugged in. There's a booth right over there. After service, I'm going to be back there. If you can,
34:36stop by and say hello. At least do it sometime when you're back. I'd love to meet you.
34:40But know this, the moment you stood up, God washed away all your mistakes, your failures.
34:47Write it down in your Bible. September 7th, 2025, a new day of victory in your life. In Jesus' name.
34:54Amen. Amen. Well, thanks for coming out. Why don't you stand together if you would please one last time.
35:01How many of you going home better off than you were before? Amen.
35:04Amen. We love you guys. I want to speak it one more time. Until we meet again, may the Lord bless you
35:11and keep you. May the Lord show you his favor and have mercy on you. And may the Lord watch over you
35:17and give you his peace. God bless you. Have a favor-filled week. We'll see you back real soon.
35:22Bye-bye.
35:23Bye-bye.
